I used to take myself out on dates, open my own damn doors, pay for everything on my plate.
I'm dripping in sweat, you guys. You've probably heard that high-intensity interval training is a great way to burn tons of calories in only a short amount of time. That's why HIIT is so popular. It only takes a couple minutes of your day and gets you burning, like burning, and gets you sweating like crazy. So this week I decided to test out 5 different HIIT workouts from 5 different fitness YouTubers to determine which ones I think are the most effective and ideal for a quick and exhilarating workout. Let's get started!
I'll be scoring the HIIT workouts by level of difficulty, level of sweat, instruction— meaning how well an exercise is explained— the exercises themselves— are they unique or repeated?— and of course, the music. I mean, Good music equals a good workout.
I wanna let you know.
For a level of difficulty, I'm gonna give Natasha a 7 out of 10 because I've done her workouts in the past. I didn't find them as challenging. For a level of sweat, I'm gonna give her a 9 out of 10. After doing one of her 15-minute workouts, I was already fairly sweaty despite finding the exercises kind of simple. After I did another one of her workouts. At that point, I was basically drinking my sweat.
I am so sweaty, you guys. This is gonna be really gross, but I'm literally drinking my sweat and it tastes like— it tastes kind of salty. I know that's weird.
For instruction, I'm gonna give her a 9 out of 10. I love how she gives us a brief description on how to do each exercise. She also gives us a beginner-friendly modification of the workouts. For exercises, I'm gonna give her a 10 out of 10. One of the reasons I enjoy her HIIT workouts so much is because all her exercises and moves are unique and so fun to perform. And finally, for music, I'm also gonna give her a 10 out of 10. Her videos contain a lot of different electronic dance music, which is my favorite type of genre to listen to. I mean, obviously everyone has a different music taste, But I do believe that any uplifting in a super upbeat music or a song will get you motivated no matter what. So that was Natasha Ocean. And overall, I'm definitely gonna give her a 9.5 out of 10. I love her HIIT workouts and just her in general.
Even though you're still—
On to day 2, which is Whitney Simmons HIIT workouts. For level of difficulty, I'm gonna give that a 5 out of 10. Now, Whitney's workouts are more so geared towards beginners, at least the one I did, so they weren't as intense as some other workouts out there. For level of sweat, I'm gonna rate that a 6 Out of 10, as I mentioned, despite how quick and easy the workout was, sweat was still running down my forehead nonetheless. I'm gonna rate instruction a 5 out of 10. She didn't give us any exercise explanation or modification because they were for the most part straight to the point and beginner-friendly. For exercises, I'm going to give that an 8 out of 10. I really enjoyed all the exercises. They were unique and easy to follow. She did 6 different exercises and repeated that for 2 sets, so it wasn't really repetitive and it gave me time to perfect the moves. For music, I'm gonna give it a 10 out of 10. The music was very similar to the type of music Natasha used in her workout, which I love. It got me feeling super happy and energized. So as a total, I'm gonna rate Whitney Simmons HIIT workout a 6 out out of 10. Let's move on to the next. It's day 3, which means it's time to do Gabby Sheehan's HIIT workout. You guys, I'm so nervous for this one. When I tell you it's hard, I literally mean it. For level of difficulty, I'm gonna give it a 10 out of 10. No matter how many times I do Gabby's workouts, I still find them exhausting every single time. For level of sweat, I'm also rating it a 10 out of 10. I've probably sweat the most doing her HIIT workouts. So if you're looking for HIIT that will legit get you feeling hot and gross, her workouts are the ones you should totally try. For instruction, I'm also gonna give her a 10 out of 10. So far, she's in the lead. Before starting the workout, she runs through all the exercises, explains them with thorough detail, and also gives tips throughout the workout for better performance, which is so motivational and inspirational. For exercises, you guys guessed it, a 10 out of 10. All the moves she did were very unique And I got excited and pumped every time we moved on to the next because you never know what to expect. For music, another 10 out of 10. Wow, you guys, Gabi Chan got all 10s, 100%.
That's crazy.
Overall, obviously I'm rating her a 10 out of 10. Let's move on to day 4. So before we started the workout, we actually did a little warm-up, which I think is so great. I don't know, I feel like stretching is just so underrated, so I'm glad she did one at the beginning. For level of difficulty, I'm gonna rate her workout a 9 out of 10.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I underestimated. This workout is so much more intense than I thought it would be. Holy—
for only 28 minutes, it was a pretty challenging workout filled with burpees, jump squats, and lunges, which in my opinion are the most unpleasant exercises. For level of sweat, a 9 out of 10. Like with all the other HIIT workouts, I was pouring in sweat by the end of it. For instruction, a 6 out of 10. Even though she didn't give us an explanation or anything like that, she did show us a clip of each exercise during the 15-second rest. For the exercises itself, I'm gonna rate them a 10 out of 10. Solid 10 out of 10. I really enjoyed that she added a twist to some of the exercises. For example, instead of just doing jump squats, she added in punches definitely made the workout more enjoyable. And finally, for music, another 10 out of 10. I mean, I wouldn't want to do a workout with boring, unmotivated music. So, and overall, I'm going to give Heather Robinson an 8 out of 10. Let's move on to the last day.
When I was yours, I'm going back, I'm going back, I'm going back, I'm going, I'm going back, I'm going, I'm going back to who I was before.
I like me better, I like So it is the final day of doing HIIT workouts, and I want to end off this week by doing more of a low-impact HIIT workout just so I put less stress on my body. I mean, I have been doing HIIT workouts for the past 4 days, and I've kind of been like overloading my body and like just kind of pushing myself too much. So I want to end off by doing a workout from a very underrated YouTube channel. Her name is Growing at Anad. Anna Nast. Her name's Anna, and honestly, she's so underrated. I love her workout so much. Let's get started. I'm so excited. The final day, and yeah, let's go.
Just a little tip when it comes to HIIT workouts: it's really, really important to take those rest periods in between each set. If you don't give your body enough time to cool down for a couple of seconds, then you're not going to be pushing yourself to your max, which just defeats the whole purpose of HIIT. And turns it into a cardio workout instead.
Let's get started!
For level of difficulty, I'm going to give Anna's HIIT workout a 6 out of 10. Because it was a no-jumping, low-impact workout, it didn't feel as tiring and it put less stress on my body, which was definitely much needed. This is for sure a great cool-down workout to end the week off right, and it's great apartment-friendly as well. For level of sweat, an 8 out of 10. You guys, never underestimate a low-impact workout. They might look easy at first glance, but trust me, they will get your body working. For instruction, a solid 10 out of 10. I really love her quick explanations and demonstrations at the beginning, and for exercises, a 7 out of 10. She provided us with 4 unique moves that were repeated 3 times each. For music, a solid 10 out of 10. And overall, I'm gonna give Anna's HIIT workout a 9 out of 10.
The results are in, you guys! It's finally time for me to determine which HIIT workout I think wins the number 1 spot. But you guys, it was definitely a very tough decision. All of the workouts had their own unique twist. They were filled with positivity, motivation, and inspiration, so it was very, very hard to choose. So I decided to come up with two winners: one HIIT workout that I thought was the hardest and one HIIT workout that I enjoyed the most. So you guys, drum roll please! Now in terms of the hardest workout and the workout that actually got me super sweaty, super quickly definitely goes to Gabi Cheyenne. She is such a great HIIT workout queen, and you guys, her HIIT workouts are insane. And in terms of enjoyment, I'm gonna give the number 1 spot to Natasha Oceane. She has been one of my inspirations for the longest, longest time, and I look up to her so much. So I'm obviously going to give her this spot for enjoyment. Her workouts are great on YouTube, her Instagram workouts are awesome. So yeah, Gabby Cheyenne and Natasha Ocean are the winners of this challenge. Well, you guys, that about wraps up this video. I really, really hope you enjoyed. I hope you learned something new from this, and I hope you can try these HIIT workouts out if you haven't already. All these YouTubers, they deserve all the recognition in the world for their hard work and positivity. So check them out. And yeah, I had so much fun filming this video. I'll see you guys in the next one. Bye!
