Give this combo a try, especially if you're a huge fan of peanut butter banana. This is going to be mind-blowing, hopefully. Hi everyone, welcome back to another video.
So excited for this one. It has honestly felt like centuries since I filmed a what I eat in a week, and I've kind of missed showing you guys what I've been eating. But to make this video a little bit more focused, I'm just going to show you guys all the breakfasts I've had, and then in the near future I can definitely do a full what I eat in a week with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For today's first breakfast of the week, I had a bagel. On one side I spread some avocado, and then on the other I put peanut butter and jelly, and then I also had one apple that I sliced up. I'm a huge peanut butter fan, so 90% of my breakfasts have some sort of peanut butter or nut butter. You definitely can't go wrong with peanut butter any time of the day. I eat it for snack, for dinner, for breakfast, for literally every single time.
Okay, maybe I'm overusing I'm exaggerating, but I eat it quite a bit.
For the second breakfast of the week, I chose to make overnight oats. Out of all the breakfasts I had this week, overnight oats are the least time-consuming for sure. You put them together the night before and you can eat them straight away, even on the go if you're running late. For my oats, I put them in a just-finished peanut butter jar because there was a bit of peanut butter left and I didn't want to throw it out. This is actually a recipe I found on Linda Sun's Instagram. It's called apple pie overnight oats, the key ingredient being a shredded apple, which when absorbed into the oats gives it that enhanced flavor. For the toppings, I ended up adding some diced apple, peanut butter, and a crunched up Biscoff cookie. Okay, so today's breakfast is the breakfast that I've had or been having over and over again. This is the breakfast I've made every single morning for the past months. I remember oatmeal being my go-to breakfast, and I thought it would always stay that way, but the minute I tried this combination, I couldn't stop eating it ever since. And it's the easiest to make out there. And what makes it even more exciting is spreading a Biscoff cookie on top to give it that crunch. Okay, with this next breakfast, I got inspired by Linda Sun once again. This time I'm making her scrambled pancakes recipe. Very unique idea. How did someone not think about this before? It's just genius. If you're not a huge fan of scrambled eggs like me and are looking for a sweeter alternative, scrambled pancakes are the game.
Don't mind my face. I don't know, I woke up with this red spot on my cheek, which is so weird. But I finished making the pancakes and I like retried— like, I tried refilming me eating them so many times, so I'm basically like almost done, but just video clips turned out so bad, so I'm doing it again on camera. This is such an easy way to eat pancakes because usually when you make them like in, in circle form, you then have to like cut them up and use a knife.
But here you can just use a fork and you can just eat it right away.
Like, there's no extra step of cutting them. And it's so weird at first, and like when I was making them, I just thought they would not turn out, but they turned out so great.
This next breakfast brings me down memory lane. I was re-watching some of my old videos from when I was very young, and in one of those videos I was showing what I ate for breakfast, and this was the breakfast right here. You take a banana, mash it up, add a spoonful of nut butter of choice, mix it with the banana, and spread it on toast, and you have yourself a mashed peanut butter and banana creation. It's actually so delicious.
You guys, this is like— this is a combination I didn't think I'd ever try. Like, I love peanut butter and then banana slices, but mashing it all together just didn't sound like super appetizing. But gosh, this is actually so good. Like, if you're— so if you're someone who is getting tired of just eating peanut butter and banana slices and wanna— want something similar but something new and different, then I'd really recommend you guys try out this. Just mash your banana and peanut butter together and then drizzle some honey on the top, and it actually tastes so good. Like, darn, like, this is actually insane. Like, I, I remember eating this as a child, but then I don't remember it being that delicious, but it's actually so good. And actually doing this, it brings out the banana and peanut butter flavor so much more. Like, I feel like by mashing it all together, it actually like intensifies the flavor, if that makes sense.
This next breakfast I got from the vegan food channel Mina Rome, and it's these very fluffy high-rise pancakes that I just really wanted to try out. They They require a bit more effort to make, but if you have a little bit more time one morning, they're definitely worth it. Mina's pancakes turned out to be a little bit more rounder, nicer.
Mine ended up looking very floppy, but the taste was still exceptional.
It's all right, it's all right, it's all right, go. All right, go. All right, go. It's all right, it's all right, it's all right, go. I'm feeling kind of lonely, guess it makes sense since I've been waking up at midnight, barely ate, I need a change. I've been feeling kind of low, so I can't pretend it's been 2 weeks since I saw you. I'm sorry things end up this way, but bear in mind I try to be the best I know that I could be.
Yeah, you know I never meant This wouldn't be a what I eat in a week video without oatmeal, so of course I had to add it in. Even though I don't eat oatmeal as frequently as I used to, it's still good to have from time to time, especially during the colder season when you want something warm and soft. I also got this new pot that I wanted to try out. It's great for making oatmeal because the oats They don't stick to the pot, so you're not wasting anything. And it's really easy to wash too. Not going to lie though, the oats consistency in this wasn't my favorite at all. I don't know why the oats turned out to be so thick. Maybe I didn't add enough almond milk, or maybe I just cooked them for too long.
Today's oatmeal, honestly the consistency isn't too bad.
It's a little more doughier than I wanted it to be, but Not bad at all.
It's very thick oatmeal though, to be honest. I'd still prefer toast with peanut butter and banana over oatmeal.
I hope you all enjoyed watching this video. Let me know what you usually have for breakfast in the comments below. I wish you all a happy holiday and New Year. I'll see you in 2023.
It's 2023 already. This is actually insane. So crazy. Okay, bye!
