Oh my darling Arizona, why you packing up your suitcase? Hasn't anybody told you? Prioritizing school and your health can be hard. It's been something I've been struggling with myself, but I realized making living a healthy lifestyle should be my number one priority because when I feel happy energized, and awake, going through life is a piece of cake, or at least a lot easier. Of course, we're all human, and not every day will be the most healthy as you might want it to be. And in this video, I want to show you that it's okay. It's okay to feel discouraged. It's okay to feel lost. It's okay if you eat 5 chocolate chip cookies, have more than one piece of chocolate, or a second plate of your favorite spaghetti. We are all trying our best, and and that's what matters. Planning out and organizing your day is probably the number one thing that is helping me find the time for school and everything else like exercising, YouTube, making yummy desserts, etc. Creating a simple to-do list of all the tasks you want to accomplish for the day has really helped me ease my anxiety and stress, and it might also help you. Writing down things like what workouts you want to complete, or projects that you want to get done will push you into actually doing those things. You can also make a meal plan for the day. For instance, I like to write down what I'm feeling like having for breakfast the night before, so when I get up, I don't have to rummage through my cupboard in search of something to prepare. While my channel is all about promoting a healthy and fit lifestyle and inspiring people to be their best selves, I don't want you guys to think that I'm perfect and have it under control because I don't, and I still have a long way to go in terms of building a healthier mindset with food. I'm not really open about it, but I have counted my calories before. I have restricted myself, and I have overate so many times to then finding myself eating less the day after. I know what it feels like. To tell you the truth, I still have negative thoughts about my body and the way I look. It's still something I'm learning to overcome, and it's not easy. Some days I don't trust my body, and instead of intuitive eating, I start counting my calories. I think sharing this is really important because not only can I look back and see how far I've come, but it can also shed light on how for some, including me, building healthy relationship with food is a journey that's going to take a while to achieve. It's definitely not something that can happen overnight. For dinner, I filled my plate up to the top and had some chili, some steamed vegetables, some carrot salad, pierogies, and some sour cream as dipping. It was so yummy. And filling. At times, I find myself sitting at my desk doing school for hours and hours, forgetting about my body and mind and the attention and care it deserves. It's game time, let's finish this math test. I tell myself, once I finish completing this project, I'm gonna go take a walk outside, I'm gonna eat something that's gonna give me energy. But then somehow hours and hours go by and still I haven't done what I promised my body I would do. I'm worrying so much about my grades and forgetting about my body, something that is worth so much more than school marks will ever be. A healthy mind and body is dependent on the marks you get. If you don't put yourself and your health first, then you won't perform at your full potential at school, work, relationships, etc. That's why it's so crucial to take study breaks. After an hour or two of doing schoolwork, force yourself to do something active, whether it's walking around your neighborhood for 10 or so minutes or doing a few stretches in your room. Give yourself a well-deserved break and let your mind wander away from all the worries. Meditation is also something I've been implementing almost every day, and I think it's very crucial, especially during school. I topped my wonderful smoothie bowl with some shredded coconut and Jasmine Tyler's homemade granola. This smoothie bowl was very filling and and refreshing. And then for a snack I had, or I guess you could say lunch, I had a mini bagel with cream cheese, some Popcorners, and I was also just craving something sweet, so I decided to have these gummy treats. They were so delicious and they satisfied my cravings, my sweet tooth. And then for dinner I had a lot of mac and cheese. I had caviar with toast, shredded chicken, and carrot salad. And I also had seconds of the mac and cheese because I couldn't resist. All the cheesiness it had. So yeah. Through experience, I found that restricting yourself from having sugary sweets or processed foods is only going to make things worse. Don't wait until the weekend to indulge in all the foods you've been tempted to eat during the week because you might just end up overeating and feel bad about it. I've said it before and I'll say it again, balance is key. You can have chocolate every day and still be fit. As long as you eat everything in moderation, you will not lose your progress. Of course, I'm not a nutritionist or professional, but I've had and I'm still having the so-called quote-unquote unhealthy food every day and I'm not losing progress. As long as you're eating healthy most of the time, there is nothing wrong with having some candy, ice cream, or any dessert that you absolutely love on a daily basis. Now with that being said, I believe eating a combination of both nutrient-dense food and food for the soul is so important to keep our sanity in check and to keep us going and feeling happy through the stress school, work, and everyday life comes with. During my study break, I munched on more of these Popcorners. So delicious, definitely my to-go snack for sure. And then for dinner, I had some of this carrot ginger soup, and grilled cheese. As a dessert, I had a Lindor, and I also watched The Great British Bake Off with my family. Such a great way to end off the night. The one big weakness I have is overthinking. I feel like as I'm growing older, my overthinking is becoming more prevalent than before. It's like no matter what I say or do, I'm always looking back and overanalyzing every situation. It's something I'm trying my best to work on, but it's hard. It really is. I want everything to go perfect and as planned, and whenever I mess up, I get upset and critique myself. This goes with fitness and food. Whenever I don't work out, it's like I've let myself down. And whenever I eat lots of cherry pie or chocolate chip cookies, I start comparing myself to other people and their perfect life, how they seem to be working out every single day and eating healthy constantly. But here's the thing. Each one of us has our own vulnerabilities. However, social media doesn't show that. Social media is a highlight reel, and majority of the time we're only going to see the positives in people's lives. That's why on my channel I want to start sharing my struggles and insecurities as well, so you guys know that you're not alone. These chickpea cookies are definitely life changers, and I recommend you guys make them if you are obsessed with chocolate chip cookies like me but want a healthier alternative to them. And they were awesome. Well, it can sometimes be hard to find the time to work out and eat healthy, especially in between classes. It can really be such a game changer that can help improve your studies and overall mood. So I really hope you guys enjoyed watching this video. I hope all these tips that I shared you found somewhat helpful and you can implement them in your life if you haven't already. And yeah, that about wraps up this video. I believe in each and every one of you, and remember, you're all so beautiful in every single way.
