Stop paying for software you could generate

Julius Forster argues companies waste money on third-party software they could build with AI in hours. He shows how to prompt AI to connect to existing APIs and generate custom dashboards, calculators, and onboarding flows, but warns against using AI to replace core systems like a CRM.

No, you should definitely stop paying for software that you could just generate. And this is a controversial one because I don't want you to like AI wipe code your entire CRM. That would be absolutely stupid. Some people actually do that, but not proper companies typically. What I mean by that is, especially if you look at things like client report dashboards, I've seen a lot of companies that like a lot of our clients use external providers for dashboards if That data right here has to be synced in there either way, right? What they, what they have to do either way is they have to set up an API key connected so this external dashboard software can now pull in the data via API, right? Via connection. These things are quick and easy to generate yourself. Um, custom app, custom app for all your dashboard needs. You prompt the AI, it has, it has access to either the API that, um, that, that you're using for all the tools. Let's say like Fireflies for calls, um, HubSpot, whatever, right? Whatever you're using, all of those different things has API access and can now generate those dashboards for you right away. Basically, in a custom, in a custom dashboard tool, you set up dashboards.yourdomain.com and it generates them in there. These things, these small quick things you need, a quick ROI calculator, right? Your sales team just test out things, right? Test out things with different departments. You can easily, quickly generate a nice visual-looking ROI calculator that your sales team can use in sales calls if they want. You can, you can generate resources for your clients on sales calls really, really well. You can— and this, this is a great one, this is like a really, really cool one— you can generate a custom onboarding for your clients. You can like with AI just tell it I want to improve our onboarding. Give it all the things that are part of your onboarding right now, and it should just turn it into a very nice process, like with embedded videos, with like nice forms, nice upload buttons where they can upload the files. All of those small things that are not like hugely fundamental to your, to your company, generate those with AI. It works really well.
