Working 04/29/2026

A work session covering cold-email outreach (50 emails daily), onboarding a new hire to review JavaScript code, and planning workflow systems in Miro. The speaker weighs ClickUp versus Notion for documentation and permission control, troubleshoots hardware issues, and commits to launching the email campaign as the top priority.

There we go. Okay, okay, same plan as always. Plan the day. So yesterday, for whatever reason, okay, yeah, client work as well as I was— my family is still here up until Saturday. So I wasn't, um, I didn't actually send those 150— no, those, those 30 or 40 emails that I wanted to send from my personal email address. I also didn't set up the, the other emails I wanted to set up, like personal emails with my name. Um, that actually I totally forgot. The other thing I did not forget, I just, yeah, I just pretty much pushed, pushed away. Now obviously moving it to today and I'm actually going to put that while I'm planning it. I'm going to put that on a sticky note so I actually have that. Okay, still has enough, still has enough ink. Yes, I'm going to put all of that stuff on a sticky note firstly. So since the plan was to, I think, send 40— yeah, I sent around 40 emails a day. I have to send 50 now. 50 today, 50 tomorrow, 50 Friday. Today's Wednesday, obviously. Um, but obviously I cannot send them right now, it's too early. Because the plan was kind of to send them manually just so I can appreciate when they send automatically. However, I think with 50 it makes, it makes more sense to just send them through instantly, to send them automatically. Just have to check how I'm going to do that because the actual email script— is it laggy? No, it's not laggy. Because the actual email script is like as if I am sending it, right? But the email accounts are amy@, beth@, dan@, etc. So I'm definitely going to send a test here where I'm just going to put myself as a lead to see how, how bad that is. I think it should be fine. I think it should be fine. Um, yeah, but that's the first thing, sending those emails. And then I did the other thing I wanted to do. Obviously emails had priority, but the other thing I wanted to do was to check the guy I had onboarded there. How good he is at the thing, at those things. I will actually— yeah, I'll have him check a code project today, a JavaScript project from a different guy, just to see what he finds and what he thinks about it. And then I'm also, yeah, I also need to get a bit of a structure in. I need to get a bit of a structure in. So I'm pretty much setting up a Miro board, or does it make sense to have it in, does it make sense to have that in ClickUp? I just need to make sure this is not something that actually wastes time, but I want to have a bit of a structure here. Click here, it sends me there. Okay, that's cool. I can have it in Miro, kind of the entire, the entire Monero thing, the high-level overview. Um, and then having those buttons to link to the different things, that's quite cool. That's quite cool. Like in Miro, you can have, you can have blocks that link to other, to other parts of it or to external links. And you just click on them and it sends you there. Like, it focuses on whatever it's sending you to within Miro or opens whatever you want to open. So I can have like a, like a master flow, and within that I can have like— I'm not within that, but I can link each of those steps to subflows pretty much. That is maybe kind of the idea. I like, I like working in Miro. Miro is quite nice. To, to work in. Um, but I know ClickUp has something similar. ClickUp also has like, what's it called? Okay, I cannot, I cannot find it right now, but ClickUp also has— oh yeah, mind map. A mind map. Choose this, visualize your fullest list and task. Yeah, uh, tasks. Okay, yeah, but I'm going, I'm going to set that up in Miro just as a high-level overview of everything so I kind of have like a visual structure maybe. And then, um, and then also ideally some, some proper way to, to document along the way., something that AI can read and write. Right now, obviously, it's like this, this desktop folder that has everything for Munira as well as everything for my personal life and everything like that. But obviously, in terms of business documentation and things like that, that does not make a lot of sense. Like, it makes sense because the AI works with it, but it does not make a lot of sense in terms of like actual documentation which I can look at and things like that. So I don't know what program is best for that, um, I guess it would be Notion. I don't know how good the Notion MCP is, but then at the same time I have to think about, is this actually useful right now, or am I wasting time with that? Um, Yeah, that's the thing. So I think what I'm going to do— no, I don't think— what I'm going to do actually, I'll just start with number 1 priority. I'll set up the emails right now. I'll set up the campaign there right now, the sequence. I'm going to schedule it already. I'm going to load in the leads. I already have some leads. And I'm going to make sure that it's scheduled and ready to launch. And yeah, that way it launches at the correct time based on US time zone, right? And it sends those 50. And with that, that's pretty much, that's pretty much, yeah, what, what I'll, I'll do right now. And then to test the guy, to test the guy I'm working with. I'll let him look over that code and see what comes, what comes out of that. Yeah, but probably makes sense for me to still start outreach campaign because he doesn't know, he hasn't worked a lot with N8N, so it still makes sense starting a proper way, doing some proper thing of working with like reaching out to other people. Also, I'm so confused. I, I don't know. I went— I didn't— I go to bed at 1 AM and then wake up at 9. I should be— I should be a bit more focused. Probably have to take— I'll have to make a coffee first. Right now it's already 11 AM. I wasted my time on fucking social media. Wasted my time on fucking social media. Didn't do anything productive. Um, Yeah, but I'll, I'll make a coffee right now. I'll take a good dose of creatine. It seems so, it seems so laggy. Why does it seem so laggy? What makes this— yeah, it is, it is very laggy. I don't know why. I don't know what the issue there is. What is slowing everything down? Let me check my activity monitor. What is slowing this down? System user idle. CPU load. Is Claude slowing everything down? Let me quit Claude. Memory usage. Memory use 76 GB of RAM. 76 GB of RAM used. Okay, nice. Energy, disk, network. Yeah, CPU I think is the core thing here. How much CPU usage has OBS? 1.9, barely anything. So it's not anything with OBS, I think. I don't know, I don't know what makes this so laggy. It's only in this— it's only with this one. Yeah, it seems to be this one camera. Is it something with the cable maybe? Is it something with the USB hub? I guess that's the issue. I guess I'll have to get a better hub. I'll have to get a better USB hub, so let me waste some time right now to buy a better USB hub. That is what comes to mind first, right? That's really like just identifying that as crazy because I say I'll create the cold email campaign now, I'll schedule it for later because it's number one priority task. Then I'm going to start doing Windows Server. Then I'm going to start doing, um, start finding some more people, like, just to make sure to find A players, right? And then I see the lag here in the camera, right? So I think let's buy a better USB hub. Let's do that first. That's, that's actually important. That's the important thing to buy a USB hub now. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Okay, send those emails. Else. And then there's obviously client work, but I'll only start the client work at like 1 to 2 PM. Okay, that's— oh no, and then the, the map. Um. I, I, I love the idea, and I want this to be true, to have like quite an— in, in theory, to have quite a very, very, very simple company in terms of how it is set up, to keep it as simple as humanly possible. Um, and to have like a kind of mapping the whole— mapping that whole thing out, like being able to map it out in like having like some, some centralized place for everything. ClickUp. ClickUp is good, but obviously there still needs to, needs to be some centralized— oh, beautiful, beautiful bird out there. Absolutely beautiful bird out there. Wow, look at him! I hope I remember this live stream just looking back at this, uh, because, because of the beautiful bird. Yeah, I pretty much— that is kind of like my huge desire internally, and I know in the beginning it is crappy, but I, I kind of, I kind of have that huge desire for everything to be very organized, very structured, to have like one big map of every kind of operation, everything, to have everything properly documented. Everything has like a a clear structure. That is kind of like, at least in terms of my own business, and then like onboarding obviously belongs to that, and then how are projects managed, client projects managed, stuff like that. Um, that at least I would, I would love to have kind of documented fully. Um, yeah. That's kind of the goal. So like in Miro and then having some sort of program for the documentation as well. I guess that's possible in Miro as well, right? In Miro you can have, in Miro you can have documents. You can have docs, you can have tables, et cetera. So if I just place a doc here— why is it— why is it— it's weird right now. I was having some issues. And in this doc I say SLP, random SLP, and I write something in there. But it's still not like searchable documentation, is it? If I now want to— and then obviously there has to be a way for only people who should see certain things to see those things. Search content. Yeah, I guess, I guess I can, I can search it. I guess it's possible to search those as well. So I could technically have the documentation in there. Uh, connecting flow. When a flow runs, it will create new content and replace. What's a flow? Oh, it's just generate a document. Okay, delete. Yeah, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know the best, the best setup for that. Notion, I heard, is quite liked for documentation, but I would like to keep this stack simple. I already like the combination of Google Workspace, of ClickUp, and Miro, and Slack. I think that's a nice, a nice little stack. But obviously, obviously ClickUp has documents, so documents can live in ClickUp, um, but Oh, that holds up the whole thing. That's not ideal. That's not ideal. But I don't know, like, I've already also created— I have a wiki space with like a single document in there. But ClickUp, ClickUp in terms of documents and also tasks feels like, um, suddenly everything could be gone. That's how ClickUp feels like. Like sometimes documents and tasks don't really load properly, so you click on it and you cannot edit it and you cannot do anything. I only recently had the issue where for a client I wanted to edit like the description of the, um, of the client, and even after logging out, reloading just, it just loaded. I was never able to get in. So I don't know, ClickUp doesn't feel like a safe, like a safe space, like a safe space to put all of the stuff. It feels too, it feels too scrappy. But yeah, I see I have a whiteboard now. So what if I put that whiteboard? Can I put templates? I'm let me check if there's a nice template. Um, Eisenhower Matrix, brand guidelines. I guess brand guidelines might be a good start. Let me quick use that one. Oops, something went wrong, please refresh the page. That is ClickUp. Exactly, that is ClickUp, and that is why I am not— yeah, same thing, I cannot use any template. Like, some things are so, so outdated. They are just, they're just trying to do too much. I can put task— I can put docs on here. Okay, okay, okay, that's nice. So I can have docs within— I can have docs within Spaces, and then I can also embed and resize. Okay, resize those docs on the whiteboard. So technically that would work. And if I, if I search for, let's say, internal communication It shows me the result, but it doesn't show me how it pulled it up. So it shows me the correct operations playbook. I probably generated that with AI a while ago. Okay, yeah, I guess, I guess this might, it might work. I just replicate something from here. Don't like the font. Okay, but I guess it generally, it generally does work. Obviously, okay, I can, we can put frames around stuff as well. So we can have all different processes like that. Now the next thing, can we link blocks to something else? Link to— oh, what? Enter link URL? Who's sending me messages? Okay, weird link to pop-up. What if I say this document? I click the three dots. It doesn't even work. Entire doc, this page, copy, copy link. And now I go here. I also don't like how when I move it just smoothly does that. And I not lock, not remove frame, my god. Okay, now unlock, there we go. Wrong one. Oh, I locked that one as well. Whoops. Link to— now I put in that link, click OK. I have a little button. It opens in a new tab. I don't know what to think about that. I don't know. Copy object link. Okay, I copied the wrong link. I copied the link to the actual doc even though I wanted to copy the link to to the object here. It opens in a new tab. The fuck? I just want— I just wanted to move there like in Miro. Like, if it would be able to do that, I would definitely fully switch because that would be absolutely awesome. So can I— can I link this? I saw the other link. I can add a task. Can I— no, I cannot. Why can I not link do anything. Oh, is that dumb? That's, that's, that's so dumb. That is so dumb. That is so dumb. Doesn't make any sense at all, not in the slightest. No, okay, I'm not sure, but obviously the upside is I can then create— I can have a wiki, I can create folders. For example, one folder would be sales, or would it be sales? It would be growth, growth client acquisition. Is client acquisition sales? Let me ask my trusted AI buddy. Basically, I want the main— what is that thing called? Okay. What's the name, the topic name that includes sales? Sales, that includes cold outreach, that includes pretty much client acquisition. Is client acquisition the main subject topic for sales? That was probably the weirdest prompt I've ever given to AI. I hate the lag. I hate the lag. Is it better? No. No, it is not. I don't know where that's coming from. You're— someone will call the umbrella category client acquisition a solid umbrella, but it's narrower than sales. Typically covers everything up to closing the deal: lead generation, prospecting, cold outreach, communication, pitching, and signing. It stops when someone becomes a client. Sales is broader, in some ways narrower than others. It includes the closing motion, negotiation, proposals, but also account management, upsells, renewals, things that happen after acquisition. Go-to-market is the widest umbrella and is one of the most— methodology commonly used top level includes marketing, sales, customer success, Revenue operations. Yeah, no, I, I don't want all of that. I just want like the, the acquisition and sales part in a folder. Like marketing I would do separately. A la client acquisition. So now the idea would be the fuck, not template. Oh no, no, the hell, a file can never be above a folder. How stupid is that? Oh, that is so dumb. That is so dumb. That is incredibly dumb. Because I want this one whiteboard to kind of be the big overview. To kind of be the big overview over like every, every big, big high-level part. And then within the folders, I guess, I would want to have the different documents as well as the lower-level flows. And then I can kind of link them there. But obviously dumb ClickUp opens it in a new tab. Very nice, very nice. Can I copy a link to a frame? Copy object link. Link to— okay, I guess that's a setup. I guess that is still the setup even though it opens it ton of new dumb tabs. You can link to docs and to tasks, but not, not to lists. Our— let me link to a list. Do I have a list somewhere nearby? Yep, this one. Copy link. Boom, paste it in here. Yeah, okay, you can link to lists, but it doesn't really look good. Cool, now— ah, that's really the issue. Now it's disappearing again. Oh, it's in operation. Okay, okay. We have Wiki with the different things right here. Folder— under the folder we then would have docs. We can mark docs as wikis. Not sure what that is supposed to mean. What's the difference between a wiki doc a non-Wiki doc. Mm. And then can I give people access to just specific— uh... Sharing and permission? To only specific parts of the wiki? Only specific folders maybe? Maybe only specific forums would be nice. Would that mean— That I make wiki private and then I only give access to those specific photos, or what? Okay, apparently yes. Now they see only those specific folders in here. Okay, I hope that works. I hope that works. Okay, that's the plan, that's the plan. So now I'm going to make myself a coffee, create team and all this kind of nice stuff. And then I'm going to get started by writing the email campaign. That is the first thing. That's the primary, primary to-do for today. Let's do it. Let's do it.
