4 Nights on Scotland's Most Luxurious Train (Royal Scotsman Whisky Train)

Nate and Kara Buchanan document a multi-day luxury rail journey on the Royal Scotsman (a Belmond/bellman train) through the Scottish Highlands focused on the malt whisky experience. The vlog covers arrival and traditional Scottish welcomes (bagpipes, brass band), detailed room and train-car tours (spa, dining cars, observation car with balcony), multiple guided whisky tastings and distillery tours (including tastings of aged single casks), onshore excursions (sunrise walks, clay pigeon shooting, archery/fly-fishing options, Highland cattle), formal dinners and live Scottish music/dancing, and the final return to Edinburgh with disembarkation. The video includes personal reactions, practical notes about onboard amenities, and a branded mid-roll sponsor (BetterHelp).

Welcome on board the Royal Scotsman. This is one of the most luxurious trains in the entire world, and it's going to be our home for the next four nights. The Royal Scotsman is a bellman train, which is the same company that owns the Orient Express.
But our Orient Express journey from Budapest to Paris only lasted 24 hours. And we get to spend the next five days on board this train as we travel through the majestic Scottish Highlands.
But it gets even better. The Royal Scotsman offers several different journeys on board this train, and we've chosen the malt whiskey experience.
Which means in addition to beautiful scenery and amazing food, we're also going to be stopping at a different distillery each day to learn all about Scotch whiskey and how it's made. We've been fortunate enough to ride trains all over the world and have had a very wide range of experiences. This is nuts, but I think this is the most excited we've ever been to start a train track.
Well, you can't ask for a much more Scottish welcome than this. We are being led to the train by a man playing bagpipes. Bagpipes always throw me off because the person's mouth is not moving with what's actually coming out of the instrument.
I feel slightly underdressed.
This place is going to be so fun.
I told him I hope to be able to grow a mustache like him one day. Looking forward to learning more from you on this trip.
A pleasure.
For you.
It's gonna just keep coming. This is the beginning.
Get settled in. I'll see you soon. See you at tea time.
Bye.
Welcome to our home for the next four nights on board the Royal Scotsman.
Yay.
I am already loving this trip. The staff has already been so great. We just got personally shown to our room and along the way, every single staff member introduced themselves individually. I feel so special. That has never happened before. And I love our room. We have some welcome gifts and welcome snacks.
Tartan pillows.
We'll for sure give you a full tour tour around our room. But we only have a few minutes to unpack where we have to go to tea time.
Somehow we have to figure out a way to put everything in these giant suitcases in the room and then they'll take the big suitcases and store them somewhere and then we'll have to live in our room for the rest of the trip.
There is nowhere to store our bags, unfortunately.
It's actually really great to be able to bring our bags on board first and then unpack in our room because on most trains they make you check your luggage before the journey even starts, and then you don't see it until the very end. So to be able to unpack, pack your bags, and then just make them disappear is actually so nice.
Hard work for the next five days is done.
It's so pretty. I love the Scottish Highlands.
I apologize to all the Scottish people. Also, I'm not a very big person, and my shoulders barely fit through this doorway. They've used all the space in the rooms and not in the hallways, which I appreciate, honestly, but if you were much bigger than me, you'd have to turn sideways.
They really undersold tea time. Tea time came with an entire plate of food. This is just mine.
So we're about to have our first whiskey tasting on board, and this is a very special one because for the evening, we have with us Charlie McLean, who the Times has described as Scotland's leading whiskey expert. This man has written 19 books on whiskey. This mustache is bigger. And he's about to walk us through a tasting of three single casks.
I would like it to be known that we are from Tennessee. Tennessee whiskey is a big thing. So, like, you know, we like whiskey, but from what I understand, Scotch whiskey is a whole different ball game that we know nothing about.
So I think we're going to learn a lot on this trip, and hopefully we'll remember most of it.
Because.
First thing you note about this.
Quite prickly.
I think that makes it quite nice.
Okay, Charlie's walked us through this. First steps of assessing whiskey. First we swerve, curled it, looked at the legs, glass. Next we nosed it.
He picked up lots of citrusy fruits. I think all my nose hairs have been singed off. And now we're going to taste it.
Like I said, we're very new to the Scotch whiskey world, and apparently it is acceptable, encouraged, actually, to add a few drops of water to your whiskey. Apparently, this helps open up flavors quite a bit for me. The alcohol content is so high that it almost just like, evaporates in your.
Tongue and you can't really taste it.
By adding some water, it kind of drags it out a little.
That actually tastes completely different than wow.
Where shall we sit?
So dinner is going to be very awkward for filming, but very good for making friends. It's.
Family style.
This might be the best R I've ever had. Look at this collar. Dior bed test.
Oh, wow. This is actually usually a hundred times softer than I thought it was gonna be.
Wow.
What a great first day. Dinner felt like I was at a Michelin Star Restaurant. Honestly, every course so good after dinner. Usually we would go straight to sleep at 10 o', clock, but instead we went back to the observation car where these two guys came on and sang the most Scottish songs I've ever heard. The words, I'm pretty sure were all in English, Sing run to me.
Sing run to.
But I bet I understood about half of the words. They were so Scottish it was amazing. We're clearly in a twin room, so Nate and I are in separate beds. Also, there's a 7am walk on the itinerary that we will not be going to.
I'll set my alarm for it.
You're going.
To See you in the morning.
Good night.
Pardon the interruption, lads. Hope you're enjoying the train as much as Nate and I are. Here's a little sneak peek of our next video. We just slept in Europe's deepest hotel and I'll give you one guess at where we're sleeping tonight. I hope this is obvious, but I always think it's a good idea to remind people that there is so much life that goes on behind the scenes of our videos that you don't see. I've struggled a lot this past year, which makes me extra thankful for therapy, especially online therapy with Better Help. Who is the sponsor of this video? I think everyone can benefit from talking to a therapist, even if you don't realize it. And Better Help is so convenient and affordable to get started. First you just answer a few quick questions about yourself on their website. Then Better Help matches you with one of their 30,000 licensed professional therapists who best meets your specific needs and preferences. Once you're matched with your therapist, you can start communicating with them however you feel most comfortable, whether that's phone calls, video calls, or messaging, which you can do right from their app. And if for some reason it doesn't work out with the first therapist you talk to, they make it super easy and free to switch to someone new. So if you're interested in beginning therapy, use our link in the description betterhelp.comkn or choose Karen Nate during sign up and you'll get a special discount off your first month of therapy. Okay, back to the train.
Good morning from the town of Keith. We're out on a little sunrise walk. I'm gonna be honest, I was not planning on getting up for this last night, but I have way too much FOMO when we're on trips like this, so I pulled myself out of bed at the last second.
Well, we made it back. That was a lovely way to start the morning. Everyone's inside eating breakfast and I cannot wait for a warm cup of coffee.
Morning.
How's your walk?
Oh, cold. You're so mean.
It's so warm.
I'm sorry I'm bothering you. Go find coffee. Thank you so much. I've got to make up for the cold hands.
Well, she's up. Last night was by far the best sleep that I have ever had on a train. And it's because we weren't moving. And that might be the best part about this entire journey is that every night we're sitting still.
This is where the heat comes out.
We just made this short journey from Keith to the town of Elgin. On the way, we enjoyed a delicious avocado toast with poached eggs. And now we are about to go tour our first distillery of the day. Come on in.
Come on in, Everybody.
It's before 10 in the morning. I'm trying a 25 year old whiskey. I don't think we really knew what we were getting ourselves into when we signed up for this train.
It's just so funny. I feel like everyone's kind of like, all right, we're doing this. I literally just took my last sip of coffee for the morning.
Okay. We are starting with a tour of the distillery. This distillery is over 120 years old. We've learned that whiskey is comprised of three ingredients. Barley, yeast, water. And every week 28 tons of barley are delivered down that hatch. Okay. So we haven't been able to film very much inside. They're very secretive about their process. They walked us through everything and we've learned that what makes Benromac unique is that everything is done by hand. They don't use any computers. I didn't realize this, but most Scotch whiskey is aged in old bourbon and old sherry cask or barrels. And it was fun to see Jim Beam and Kentucky on some of the barrels in the barrel room. Felt like a little piece of home being stored in a warehouse here in Scotland. And after the tour, we got to try four different single cask whiskeys.
And with the obviously having 15 years.
Of what we can say, but by far the highlight was this 40 year old whiskey which we later found in the gift shop. And this is the price tag slide.
We're back to our home. To the train. Oh, no more.
What do we have? Have a spiked hot chocolate.
Not for me.
I can't do it.
We better try it.
You got to try it.
Thank you. Oh, Joe.
Wow. This is so good.
Welcome to our room. All right, so the itinerary for the afternoon is very relaxed. They said that we could have a drink in the observation car, which we do not need any more of where they said we could take a nap in our room. But I've decided to book a spa appointment for this afternoon because yes, there is a spa on board this train. But before I do that, I'm going to give you a full proper tour of our twin room. I can't help but compare this room to other trains that we've ridden and specifically our other bellman train experience on the Orient Express where we had the grand suite. So obviously it is not as fancy as that. But I don't think anything will ever beat that room. I mean that was just the best of the best, obviously. But if I compare this room to the roomette that I just rode across the US with my mom on Amtrak scale of 1 to 10, how good is the mattress? Is there a mattress? And this is luxury. This room is truly so beautiful. I love the wood and the windows and the lights and the details in the ceiling. It feels very fancy and expensive because it is. There are a couple things that really stood out to me when we first got here, so I'll point those out. First, the first one being this switch turns on the ceiling fan. I think this is the first time we've ever had a ceiling fan on a train. And honestly we spend majority of our life in a hotel room and I don't think any hotel room we've stayed in this whole year has had a ceiling fan. I don't know.
This feels very like novel and unique.
I don't know, I just really like the ceiling fan. The second thing is this, this knob right here is our own heater.
It also comes out right here at the bottom of this bed. So we just stand here and warm our toes up when we come in.
Clearly, since we're in a twin room, we each have our own twin bed, which made me kind of sad at first cuz we do like sleeping together. But this bed is so cozy. Like just look at this. How appetizing is that? Like you just have to like. We have this nice little desk right here. Tons of storage. I have all my stuff in this compartment. Very easy to get to. I just found two more drawers that we didn't even know existed. Hey, maybe I should move some of my stuff. We have this huge closet with everything else and we haven't even taken up all the space. So even though it feels like a small room, we actually have tons of storage, which I love. I would Also, like to point out this lamp. It is a touch lamp. So all you do is tap it and it turns on and off. And I kid you not, at 3am I woke up and Nate for some reason was awake too. And we're just staring at each other from across the room. And then I realized the lamp is on. And so I just said, did you turn on the light? And he said, no.
This feels like a big time, you had to be there moment. But we were just both out of it and neither one of us could figure out why the light was on. And I think at some point I just rolled over in the middle of the night and my hand had hit it.
Anyway, they were nice enough to leave us a little welcome gift when we checked in. You won't believe this, but we got some scotch whiskey as gift, even though we had it for breakfast this morning, dinner last night, again for lunch. But what's more exciting is what came with it. Apparently it's traditional in Scotland to give a little splash of whiskey in this fancy metal bowl to your guest who is either coming or you're saying farewell. You give them some whiskey. It's a thing. Or it used to be a thing. Either way, I really like the bowl. Each day they print out the itinerary and put it here, which is really convenient. Am I missing anything over here? I don't thank. So if you'll swap spots with me. And the grand finale.
Oh, this is where I get to store my stuff.
Packing cubes.
Don't you love them? I've converted them. It's official. Once again, it's hard not to compare to the Orient Express, where it was the most beautiful bathroom I had ever seen. But also, again, compared to Amtrak.
We really should not be comparing the Royal Scotsman to Amtrak. It is in a totally different league. It is 10 times better.
But once again, it just makes all of this feel a thousand times nicer than it already is because I had to go through that. I feel like I'm watching a real life true crime right now. Mom, we'll bring you on this one next time. Toilet works like a normal toilet. Really like it. We have a heated towel rack, which I don't know in the US this just isn't really a thing. The robes, I have to say, are the best I've ever had. The collar, I just feel so bougie in it. I must say, I do judge accommodations by the soaps and lotions that they prefer to use. This one is so good. Geranium, lavender, peppermint, hand and body lotion and soaps and the shampoo and conditioner and soap in the shower is this brand, and it is so yummy. Speaking of the shower, we have not used this yet, but we will for sure. It's shockingly big.
For a train shower that's in our room. Very excited about that. The shower head is about this big, though, so don't have high hopes for the water pressure. We'll see. Don't judge a shower by its head.
You know what they say in Scotland.
Here we have a service button. If we need anything at all, we just press it and someone magically appears and takes care of our needs. I pressed it yesterday for so many to come get our bags. Probably won't press it again.
Okay, that about does it for the room. Now we will show you around the rest of the train.
They also give keys to the rooms, but we haven't used our keys yet because nobody's going anywhere. Also, I would just like you to note that we are room Q. We're gonna head to the back of the train, make our way to the very front. That's not a very far walk.
So the last room on the train is T. So there are nine cars on board that we have access to as passengers. Five of them are cabins for the passengers. One is the spa. We have two dining rooms and one observation car. So we're currently in the 9th car. Room T was in the very back. And we're head all the way to the front of the train.
So anytime we do make our way to the front of the train, you got to make sure you have all your stuff. It's a journey.
So in each car, there is 1, 2, 3, 4, 4 rooms. And then the rooms have slightly different configurations. Some of them have queen beds, Some of them have twin beds. More rooms here in the fourth car.
I just have to point out how amazing this is. We're not moving, so you can't appreciate it. But this is that really scary part in between cars where they connect, where usually you have to press a button. And then it feels like anything can happen. And everything is loud and the ground is right there. When you have to jump to the other side, at least that's what I do. But this, it's like there's no door. It's quiet, it's sealed. I don't feel like I'm going to fall through and then dip this train car. So jealous.
This car consists of three grand suites. So these are the big fancy rooms like the one that we stayed in on the Orient Express.
Welcome to car number six. This is the spa car. This is where I'm going to be having my massage day.
This is the kitchen. There's no one in there right now, and I'm finally seeing just how tiny it is. Like, they only have six burners and so little counter space, yet they're producing these beans. Beautiful plates for all of these people. They might as well be in a van. It's crazy.
Oh, how nice is the light in here right now.
Welcome to dining car number one, dining car number two.
And last but not least, this is.
The observation car, where everybody's hanging out.
Best of all, at the end of the observation car, they have an outdoor balcony. I don't think you can hear anything I'm saying.
Ready for my massage slippers.
The sun is setting. The leaves are hanging, the sheep on munching, and I'm getting a massage.
Wow, that's so pretty. Not a bad view to get a massage to.
I feel like I'm going down when it's gotten the most beautiful.
Love you. Any last words?
This is the coziest massage bed I've ever experienced. It's heated. I'm so excited. All right, get out of here. Have it massaged.
So tonight, formal night, and while Kara's getting a massage, I'm gonna see if I can get my suit steamed because it's quite wrinkly from being in my suitcase. I think it's completely free. All I have to do is hit the button. Why do I feel bad pushing that button? That's. That's what it's here for. But for some reason, I feel bad pushing it.
Perfect.
Thank you. Thank you. Wow, that was so easy.
Okay, the train had has come to a stop. I'm not sure for how long, but now feels like a great time to test out the shower. Wow. 10 out of 10 shower. The water was nice and hot. This is the warmest that I've been all day. Great water pressure, too, out of the. Out of the small shower head.
Like magic, My suit has appeared in the hallway with no more wrinkles.
That is without a doubt, the best massage I've ever had. I'm so sad that is over.
So this is already a once in a lifetime bucket list trip. But it's extra special to Kara and I because our last name is Buchanan, and that name originates from the Scottish Buchanan clan. And the Buchanan clan actually has their own tartan, which is basically platinum. I think I'd probably get in trouble for saying that to certain people, but these colors in this Pattern represent the Buchanan clan. I don't tend to be a very sentimental person, but I went all out when we were in Edinburgh. I bought the cufflinks with the Buchanan crest on them. Unfortunately, the shirt that I have is not fancy enough. I don't have a second hole down here to stick a cufflink through, so I'll have to save those for later. But I also bought a Buchanan crest lapel pen, so I'll be able to stick that on my suit now to see if I remember how to tie a tie. I think this goes to my belly button. This goes over a long time.
Oh, I think I know. Nail it. First try.
I'm not sure what you call family pride. Like whatever the patrioticness of family pride is, that's what I feel right now.
Aw. Nate and I live out of our suitcases and we don't usually travel with formal attire, but somehow there are always one or two nights a year where we have to go to a formal event and try to blend in with our cheat H and M purchases and jewelry, shoes and just hope that no one notices. And tonight's one of those nights. Tonight I'll be wearing my approximately €25 black dress. I like to go with something that's not too attention grabbing. I can just slide under the radar. I'm also wearing pink ballet slippers with flowers on them. I can almost guarantee that there is no one on the strain wearing a cheaper outfit than I am right now. Now. Oh, I almost forgot the banon tartan scarf.
Let's go to dinner.
It's nice and warm.
I like matching.
Love this so much.
Are you gonna say action?
Ah, hello Hermione.
Is that the girl's name in Harry Potter?
When got him Liviosa.
At some point tonight we decided she looked like a character out of Harry Potter.
It's not Leviosa. It's Leviosa. I think this is the best food we've ever had on a train. Some of the best food I've ever had. Honestly, the only I could compare the quality to is the Maharajas Express in India, which is just a completely different world of food. It's hard to compare. Can I book a cooking class with you? We started with this leek soup, which sounds super lame, but man, it was so rich. Followed by some locally caught halibut. And we ended with this beautiful dessert. Nate ate the whole thing. It wasn't chocolate, so I didn't get it, but he loved it. Breakfast isn't until 8, 8:30 tomorrow. Today it was 7:30 to 8:40. And I'm like, how can you serve whiskey all day and night and then have breakfast at 7:45? Oh. And you'll never guess what we do after that. A whiskey tasting.
At what time?
10.
10Am.
Okay, we gotta get some sleep.
This is amazing. And then we have lunch. And then guess what we're doing after that. We look to Scotland for all our ideas of civilization. Voltaire.
We'll sleep on it.
I did that on purpose.
Playing a dangerous game this morning.
Thank you.
So we have just left Kyle harbor, and we are making our way back to Inverness. This is the only part of the journey where we're backtracking and seeing something that we've already seen. But the landscape that we were seeing last night at sunset was stunning. And if I had to pick one part of the journey to do over again, it would definitely be this.
Thankfully, we had a slow morning on board, which allowed us to sit back and enjoy these incredible views of the Scottish Highlands.
I love how many cute sheep we got to see on this trip. After a quick lunch, the train came to a stop in Inverness, where they brought us to the Tomatin distillery. Our tour guide, Ken, was, as they would say in Scotland, a proper legend. Who I thought I liked until he tricked us into taking a big whiff in the fermentation to take.
Now.
Come on, man. You got to get in.
Oh, yeah.
Actually, my sinuses will never be the same. That is so intense. Literally felt like fire just went up through my nose. That was crazy.
My eye is watering.
Wow.
Ken walked us through every step of the process. We get to see the huge copper pots where the whiskey was being distilled and the barrel room where the whiskey is being aged. This whiskey has been in the barrel since I was born. This one's when.
That's not when I was born.
I thought it's in 89.
This one doesn't even know how old I am. All right, and now for the best part.
We're losing count of how many tastings we've done at this point, but we're starting to feel like whiskey experts.
I don't remember which one's which. So far, my favorites have been the ones that are finished in a sherry cask. So a cask that held sherry before gives it, like, a sweet caramel y flavor.
I've learned that Scotch whiskey is extremely strong, and the only way I can actually enjoy it is when I add some drops of water inside, which sounds wrong, but all of the pros are doing that. So what I'm saying is I'M a pro. Of course, they had welcome drinks waiting for us when we got back to the train. And shortly after boarding, another delicious three course meal was served. We ended the day in the observation car with traditional Scottish music. These guys really brought the energy.
Good morning from Boat of Garten. When I saw this on the schedule, I thought maybe there was a boat trip I didn't know about. But no, turns out it's just the name of a small town here in Scotland where we spent the night last night. Train station is super quiet. I don't think another car passed this morning. We're gonna have a quick breakfast, hop on the bus and head to a a countryside estate where the schedule says we will do outdoor pursuits. So for our countryside pursuits. I can't tell if I'm talking way too loud or not with these on.
We could choose from archery, fly fishing, a walk, or clay pigeon shooting. It's been about 10 years since I've done this. For some reason, this feels a lot more sophisticated than what we used to do back in Tennessee. I think it's the same concept, but everybody has on fancy shooting clothes. And I definitely used to not wear eye protection.
I've been racking my brain. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but the only experience I can think of where I've actually shot a gun outside was in the country of Georgia. Our Airbnb host took us on a little adventure on his land. We were just throwing like fruit up in the air and then shooting them. It was so loud and scary.
We'll see how this goes.
Okay, so this is what we're going to be shooting at. This is called a clay pigeon. It goes flying through the air. If you hit it, it breaks it into a million pieces. Who do you think hits more?
Me.
To me?
Yeah.
Are you serious?
Yeah.
What do I get if I win?
15 minute massage.
Deal. I like it on my shoulders. Neck and shoulders. He said to close one of the eyes.
I'm getting a massage for sure if the barrel's here, like this, which I need to keep. Yeah, definitely.
Visualizing.
Just try using both eyes open.
Both try to warm up. You ready to see how it's done?
Who's going next?
Yeah.
Come on. Bit of a photographer.
Yeah.
Shooting is the same as photography. Just look at, look at your subject. Just move with him.
Right?
Look at him there.
I told you.
I'm only counting the first one as a half because Paul helped him.
You let it drop.
You let it.
You thought about it. Tuck it under there. Smile at the camera.
Look at him.
Yeah.
Pretty good at this.
Did you say I didn't get it?
No, I said you're pretty good at this.
Okay, you ready?
I'm ready.
Look at him again. You went over the top.
All right, so Paul's got a little trigger in his pocket. The koi pigeon's coming out of there. It's going across.
Look.
Just a little bit behind him. You shot his right leg. I won't shoot his left leg. Leaving it too long.
Rhythm. Thinking too much.
Yeah.
Don't think. Don't think. Well, do your thinking. Now I'm going to look at him. I'm going to see his left leg. I'm going to squeeze the trigger. Yes, look. Leg squeeze.
Paul's the best.
Look at him leg.
Because you were so excited you went bang. You went bang. And you pulled it up.
Okay, I'm happy with that.
Good effort.
Well done.
Thanks, Paul. Beat that. You have an audience. No pressure. Nate.
Look, Nate.
Oh.
Look.
Too rushed. Too rushed.
Left.
Slow it down. Look.
You still have to get two more to beat me.
See how easy that is?
Look.
Darn it.
He beat me.
You know, there's still more. That was just like the first game.
Really? Yeah. All right. That one didn't count. It was just a warm up.
That wind. An attic.
Here we go. Okay, we can do this.
You can do.
You'll like this one. Follow him up. When he stops, squeeze the trigger. Watch the edge. Bang. Just there.
Okay.
Follow him up.
Yes.
Wait a minute. It's good n. You get it right.
Get that first try.
And again.
There we go.
Follow him up.
Boom.
Twice. And boom.
Wow. We love it.
We love it.
Follow him up.
Oh, that was good.
You did well.
Watch the target.
See, now you did the same there. Excited. And you just moved to the side at the wrong time. Okay, here he comes. Look at the edge.
Much easier.
Is it?
Yes.
Look at the edge.
Yes.
See? Now you can do that and do that and smile.
I think we'll stop there.
How many was that?
I think it was five for six.
Yes.
It'd be hard to beat lucky.
Let's go. Gambling.
Guns live.
Ready? Yep.
Follow him up.
Whoa.
Same again.
Nice, Nate.
Over the top. We don't video that one.
Target's coming now. Bottom edge.
Boom.
Nice.
Go do four in a row.
Yes. Yeah.
No pressure.
Here he comes.
I win.
One to one. It all comes down to this.
Exactly the same. Your par panning. You're watching your subject, but you've just got to be in front of him. Point at him and push off the nose. Point. No.
Yeah, you go right on the nose. That was a great shot. That was a pheasant. That'd be good eating.
Absolutely, yes. Right in the m. How do you.
Not know if you're hitting it?
You can keep one eye open. Don't shut.
Look at him, look at him. Front edge. All right, so you've got your thinking now. You can see that you're getting there instead of going in front. Yet you went up.
Thank goodness.
Stay at leg level.
I couldn't take the pressure of 100%.
Look at the leg. Gently in front. Just like that.
That was a good one.
Are you getting nervous?
Yeah. You're at 75%, so so far.
Thank God.
I think I closed both my eyes.
Yeah. That was only a joke. I didn't mean it.
Four for six.
Good luck.
That massage is going to feel so good.
Stay ready.
Now you jump.
Oh.
Go 100%.
So they were practices. Let's start again. Here we go. 100%. See the gap?
Relax.
Doesn't matter now. Nothing matters.
It does. Dignity.
Dignity.
Shut both eyes. When I say bang, squeeze the trigger. Bang.
Wow.
That's so far out in front of that one.
You got one way to end strong, Nate.
You got to go and catch a bus.
I'm afraid going to be a long time before I live this one down.
I love to win.
Oh, don't rub it.
Paul was genuinely the best. That was so much fun. I crumbled at the end. Completely fell apart.
This thing is so cool. Okay, time for part two of our album. We are going to see the Highland Cows.
Oh, I'm so excited. Are they called the Highland Cows? They're Highland cattle, yeah. So a lot of people know them as Haiti Crews. Haiti Cruise. Is that the Scottish? So that's like. Yeah, Scottish Haiti coos instead of cows. Just a Scottish word for cow. I love the Scottish. Love.
The hang.
Oh, my gosh, look.
Hey, buddy. Wow. That is the cutest cow I've ever seen. Not so sure about us.
Come on, Eric.
Wow. Everyone's very excited.
We have just arrived in the town of Perth. Not Perth, Australia, but Perth, Scotland. And we are heading to our third and final distillery of the trip.
This. This is the distillery I've been looking forward to all week because here we are going to do a whiskey and chocolate hering.
This distillery undoubtedly has the coolest storage room for their barrels. Wow.
It's finally time.
To develop.
The longer you leave it and leave.
It and leave it, it becomes more.
Complex as the years go by. Each chocolate was Specifically paired with each different whiskey to make the perfect combination of flavors. So far on the first two, it's absolutely bonkers. You take a sip of the whiskey and you're like, yum. That's whiskey. Then you take a bite of the chocolate, then you go back to the whiskey. Totally different drink.
Guess who's wearing the exact same outfit as our first formal night? Wait, is the formal night in gala night different?
Nathan? I supposed to be even fancier.
Oh, no. I'm so like, nobody cares.
People are just concerned about how they look. Not about how you look.
We usually don't go to gala.
This is also true.
Just to add to this saga, you may remember, not too long ago, Nate and I walked 124 miles at the four day march in the Netherlands and I complained about my feet and my blisters and my toes a lot. Well, my big toenail has decided that tonight's the night that it's gonna fall off completely.
Oh, no.
What?
The bottom ties bigger than the top tie.
Start over. We need all the help we can get. Natan, you gotta carry the team. I can't believe it's our last night. Probably good for my liver though.
It's been a fun trip, but I could not keep up for much longer. They've really been hyping up tonight. Apparently after dinner we've got some live music and dancing and we get to get off the train and dance on the platform. Kind of like the grand finale of the trip.
Ow. Ow.
Almost got a black eye.
Free dinner, snacks and drinks.
Delightful. Everyone looks really nice and I don't feel like anyone has stared at my outfit yet. I don't think anybody's going to, but makes me feel better.
Oh my gosh.
Massage.
I'm so full. Bring it up and I know that you'll love it. Thank you.
We have to sell money down. Answer on this. Woohoo. Two, three, clap. Clap back.
Two, three, clap dot Clap.
One more, two, three.
Usually it's one couple, but we're going to do more than one. Let's. Let's do three. Hold hands across the set. I thought we were just going to come out here and freestyle, do the music, but apparently this is like an actual dance. There are steps that everybody has to follow. Follow. And no one is.
1, 2, 3, go.
This thing is so cool. Okay, time for part two of our album. We are going to see the Highland Cows.
Oh, I'm so excited.
Bark. Thank goodness.
Well, I think I closed both my eyes.
Yeah, that was only a joke.
I didn't Are they called the high Highland cows? They're highland cattle.
Yeah.
So a lot of people know them as Haiti Cruz.
Manny.
Haiti Cruise. Is that the Scottish? So that's like. Yeah, Scottish. Haiti Coos instead of cow. It's just a Scottish word for coos. I love the Scottish language. The Haiti coos.
Four for six back.
That massage is going to feel so good.
Stay ready.
You jump.
Oh.
My gosh. Look.
Hey, buddy. Wow. That is the cutest cow I've ever seen. Not so sure about us.
Come on, Eric.
Wow. Everyone's very excited.
Right?
100.
So, labor practices. Let's start again. Here we go. 100%. See the gap.
We have just arrived in the town of Perth. Not Perth, Australia, but Perth, Scotland. And we are heading to our third and final distillery of the trip.
Doesn't matter now. Nothing matters.
It does.
This is the distillery I've been looking forward to all week. Because here we are going to do a whiskey and chocolate pairing.

Dignity.
Dignity.
Shut both eyes. When I say bang, squeeze the trigger. Thanks.
Whoa. Didn't you go back to the whiskey? Totally different drink.
Guess who's wearing the exact same outfit as our first formal night? Wait, is the formal night in gallonite different?
Nathan? I supposed to be even fancier.
Oh, no. I'm so like, nobody cares.
Oh, I was so far out in front of that one.
You got one way to end strong, Nate.
You gotta go and catch a bus.
I'm afraid people are just concerned about how they look. Not about how you look usually.
Don't go to Dallas.
This is also true.
Just to add to this saga, you may remember, not too long ago, Nate and I walked 124 miles at the four day march in the Netherlands. And I complained about my feet and my blisters and my toes a lot.

I'm so full.
Bring it on.
And I know that you'll love it. Thank you.
Oh, my gosh, look.
Hey, buddy. Wow. That is the cutest cow I've ever seen. Not so sure about us.

Wow. Everyone's very excited.
We have so many dancer on this. Woohoo. 2, 3, clap, clap. 5.
2, 3, clap,.
Clap. One more, two, three.

We have just arrived in the town of Perth. Not Perth, Australia, but Perth, Scotland, and we are heading to our third and final distillery of the trip.
I'm coming. I'm coming through.
It.
Good morning.
This is the distillery I've been looking forward to all week because it is.
Our fifth and final day on board the Royal Scotsman. We're just making our way back here.
We're going to do a whiskey and chocolate berry.
This distillery undoubtedly has the coolest storage room for their barrels. Wow.
It's finally time.
Back to Edinburgh. Currently we have about an hour until we arrive and then the trip's gonna Be over. So, sadly, we're getting packed out, trying to figure out.
Where to put all these souvenirs they keep giving us. I think we have, like four books, multiple whiskeys, Dior products. But the views this morning have been absolutely beautiful. The last big thing we have to look forward to is crossing the fourth bridge, coming back into Edinburgh. Looking at this bridge reminded me a lot of the Golden Gate Bridge. So I was doing a little research to see how it compared. And the fourth bridge is actually longer and it was built 40 years earlier. So for its time and even now.
It is, it becomes more complex as the years go by. Each chocolate was specifically paired with each different whiskey to make the perfect, perfect combination of flavors. So far on the first two, it's absolutely bonkers.
It's an incredible feat of engineering. I've just gotten everything packed up, but it was quite the challenge because look at this free glass. Free whiskey glass, little silver thing, bottles and bottles of whiskey. They gave us so much free stuff on this train that it's hard to get my bag closed. We'll be rolling into Edinburgh shortly and disembarking the train.
You take a sip of the whiskey. Yum. That's whiskey. Then you take a bite of the chocolate.
So nice to meet you. Lovely to meet you guys. I can't believe this is it.
Absolute pleasure.
Thank you so much. Thanks so much. It was so fun.
Thank you, guys. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.
Didn't go back to the whiskey. Totally different drink.
Seriously. Thank you so much.
Goodbye.
What a send off. In true Royal Scotsman fashion, they rolled out the red carpet.
Guess who. Guess who's wearing the exact same outfit as our first formal night. Wait, is the formal night and gala night different?
Nathan? I supposed to be even fancier.
Oh, no. I'm so, like, nobody cares.
Of course there's a brass band playing. And that does it for the Royal Scotsman. Top two, if not number one, train trip we've ever done.
Hi, YouTube.
I just had the realization today that so many people who work so hard on making these whiskeys and putting them in the barrels and knowing, like, oh, we want to age this for 30, 40, 50 years, those people don't ever get to taste it. Sometimes, like, a lot of times they die before.
Oh, they got morbid fast.
It's kind of sad.
People are just concerned about how that look, not about how you look.
We usually don't go to Dallas.
This is also true.
Just to add to this saga, you may remember not too long ago, Nate and I walked 124 miles at the four day march in the Netherlands. And.
Look at us singing Scottish songs. Like it looks like the word quiche, but it's not a quiche. It's like a quiche. What?
Ow.
What? I complained about my feet and my blisters and my toes a lot. Well, you okay?
Everything.
Oh, no.
You coming?
Where's next?
As some would say, canapes.
My big toenail has decided that tonight's the night that it's gonna fall off completely.
Oh, no.
What?
The bottom tie is bigger than the top tie.
Start over. We need all the help we can get. Natan, you gotta carry the team. I can't believe it's our last night. Probably good for my liver, though.

Longer.

Almost got a black eye.
Pre dinner special snacks and drinks.
Everyone looks really nice and I don't feel like anyone has stared at my lauda yet. I don't think anybody's going to, but makes people better.
Oh, my gosh.
Massage.
I'm so full.
Bring it on.
And I know that you'll love it. Thank you.
We have so many dancer on this.
Three clap, clap.
Back two. Three, clap, clap.
One more.
Usually it's one couple, but we're going to do more than one. Let's.
Let's do three.
Hold hands across the set. I thought we were just going to come out here and freestyle, do the music, but apparently this is like an actual dance. There are steps that everybody has to follow and no one is.
Get zach.
I'm coming. I'm coming through.
