Amsterdam to London | British Airways | Aspire Lounge

A first-person travel vlog by Nate Buchanan and Kara documenting their journey from the Netherlands to London. The clip follows their departure (car drop-off), local transit confusion (bus vs train), time in an airport Aspire lounge, flight to London, arrival andRAINY walk to an Airbnb, and attendance at business/networking events in London (including a reception at the Carinthia Hotel and a tour of a royal penthouse). The vlog explains they are in London for the week to attend the World Travel Market conference and to meet potential partners for 2017.

Today we are leaving the Netherlands. But before we do, we wanted to say a special thank you to Enrique for letting us use his awesome apartment and his car all week. It's made our stay here really special.
The Netherlands has seriously turned into one of our favorite countries. I'm really sad to leave. All the cities are so cute and I really hope we come back here.
One day and the food's delicious. And I read that the people in the Netherlands consume the most suites per capita of any other country in the world, which means I fit right in here.
We might move here one day, but.
Unfortunately it's time to leave. For now.
We just got the car dropped off. Now we are gonna try to find the train station and head into Amsterdam.
I don't want to leave.
This will be like our longest train ride into a city.
I'm so sad.
Let's go.
Turns out the little emoji on Google Maps was a bus and not a train. So now we're waiting at the bus station. I'm going to take it to the train station.
From what I can tell, we're somewhere up here. And we're gonna have to ride a bus 20 stops down here to the central train station. And then from there we ride to the airport.
Thank.
Sa.
This is one of the best views we've ever had from a lounge.
I love it when there's windows. Starting with some coffee. It's really strong and delicious. The food here looks really good. I'm loving this lounge. We have an hour and a half in here.
This got out of hand quickly.
You're allowed to get more than one plate in the lounge. Care.
Time to go.
Thank you.
Going to London.
It's my pleasure to be flying across to London this afternoon. So I'll speak to you just briefly during our short flight to give you an update on our flight progress. At the moment, we expect to be arriving on time.
London.
Here we go.
Sam City Airport, where the local time is ten past four in the afternoon.
And cross check later.
Here you go.
Thank you very much.
Please touch in and out. In.
Now we've made it to London. It's just like I've always pictured it being, gray and rainy. But that's okay. And we just got our Oyster cards, so we're going to try to find our Airbnb be on the train.
Speaking of the train, it's raining pretty hard.
A 15 to 20 minute walk from the train station to Airbnb.
The map says it's Crowne Plaza, not our Airbnb, so this could be A long wet walk.
We made it to our Airbnb. It turns out it was only like a 4 minute walk instead of a 15 minute walk. And now we're in our cute little pink room.
This is the first time we've ever stayed in an Airbnb where we're staying with somebody else. So the nice lady that lives here lives downstairs and we're staying in a room upstairs.
She's from Bulgaria.
London was really expensive, so we didn't get our own Airbnb this time.
But I feel like we're by ourselves. We're just upstairs and we have our own bathroom, but then we get to make us breakfast.
So I don't think we ever explained why we were coming to London. Unlike most places that we go, we're not here just for fun. We're actually here for business. On our first business trip ever as Karen Nate, we've gotten really professional. We got business cards printed. Nice matte finish. So we're in London for the next week. Three of those days are going to be at the World Travel Market Conference where we're hoping to meet people, partners for 2017 who are going to send us on awesome adventures. And now we are going to our first ever networking event at some really fancy hotel. So let's go. I think Kara and I are going to be extremely underdressed for this event and the entire conference. This button down shirt I have is the only long sleeve button down shirt that I have. So you're probably going to see it for the next four days. I'm just hoping that I meet all new people every single day so nobody knows that I wore the same shirt over and over again.
That's my plan.
We made it.
This event that we're going to is being held at one of the fanciest hotels in London. It's called the Carinthia. And I think, I think the night will consist of some drinks and snacks, making new friends and saying ooh, pretty.
The event is going well and now we're going on a tour to the Royal Hotel. Yeah.
Not a bad view from the royal penthouse.
More than anything else, Kara's been impressed with the full bottles of soaps and shampoos for amenities.
And the soap with.
Jasmine and cedarwood that.
A very big thank you to the Carinthia Hotel for hosting this event today.
Awesome apartment in Eustace Carlisle.
We are in the royal bathroom of the Royal penthouse and it is incredible.
Even have a private massage room.
Do whatever you want.
Are you going to give me a massage?
No. This place you could get lost in here. I think we could just hop behind that garden.
We could stay here all night.
