A first-person travel vlog transcript (Nate and Kara Buchanan) documenting an early-morning trip from Athens to Santorini via Ryanair. The speakers describe frantic rental-car drop-off, their first Ryanair experience (short ~30-minute flight, checked carry luggage, no seat pockets or recline), arrival in Santorini, meeting their Airbnb host at the bus stop, sightseeing impressions, a meal (Falafel Land), and an Airbnb interior/view tour.

Why do we keep looking? These early flights.
It feels like the middle of the night. We are heading to the airport. It is. If we can get all of our stuff in our tiny rental car, it's.
Gonna be a challenge.
Did it?
What are you gonna do?
Things have escalated quickly. Off camera. We're now late and leaving the rental car in the Avis parking lot and just going to the airport.
Hey, they'll take my key.
They're not gonna not take my key. It's all closed.
I guess the apartment's what happens when we get to the airport. There's no Avis.
The bags have been stored, the rental car key has been dropped off. We're two for two now. We're flying right in there for the first time. Heard only horror stories. Hopefully this goes smoothly. We're certainly not on the Ryan airplane yet, but thus far they have not charged us anything extra, which I hear is incredibly rare.
So far. The only big difference that I see is no seat back pocket. There's also no way to recline the seat. Not a big deal because this flight's like 30 minutes.
Sam.
It says local bus, but it doesn't look very local. We survived our Ryanair flight, first one ever. I feel like we're true travelers now.
They weren't before. They were not before that. The only main differences is there were people checking your luggage as you got onto the plane to make sure it wasn't too big. There were no seat back pockets and the seat didn't recline. All in all, I had a good experience. It wasn't as bad as people make it out to me.
It was nice and easy. And now we're in San.
This is Julianne's dream destination. If you ask her, number one on my bucket list.
Our Airbnb host just met us at the bus station because apparently houses here don't have addresses.
The volcano. Wow.
This is amazing.
This is so cool.
The girls are excited. This could not be more picturesque. Like exactly what you picture. This is our Airbnb. That's our terrace. That's the view. But unfortunately we can't check in till 2, 5 more hours till it's ours. Nobody's had breakfast since we all got up at like 3:30 in the morning. So we're going to find a bakery.
I cannot believe we are actually staying at that Airbnb. We haven't been inside yet, but I still just can't even get over the way the outside looks and the view, like not even real.
It's gonna be awes.
If you can see that little church way off in the distance. The Airbnb that we rented is, like, right in there.
Another TripAdvisor find for the win. Falafel Land. Cheap, delicious, fresh. Love it.
Falafels aren't even Greek. They're Arabic.
Go.
They gave us a gift of some free hummus. Let's check it out. The chips are as good as the hummus.
Almost time.
This doesn't even look real.
But it is real.
Living room, kitchen, single bedroom. Bathroom number one. Bedroom number two. Bathroom number two.
