A first-person YouTube travel vlog by Nate and Kara Buchanan documenting their final morning in Seville. They find and enjoy chocolate churros dipped in hot chocolate, rent and ride bikes around the city (wearing helmets after discussing a friend's injury), visit the Archivo de Indias to glimpse old explorers' documents, and prepare to leave early due to hostel/siesta logistics and a long drive back to Lisbon.

It is our first and last morning here in Sevilla. This afternoon we have to drive back to Lisbon, so we're gonna make the most of our morning, starting with chocolate churros, whatever that means. Kayla said it's a thing here in Sevilla. Deep fried churros dipped in hot chocolate. Sounds like a fantastic way to start the morning.
I'm hoping they have coffee and checchettas.
Croquetas.
Croquetas.
They're my favorite, but I don't know how to say them.
Kara doesn't like donuts or deep fried things in the morning, so.
Ever. Just kidding.
We're running bites, then chocolate churros.
A cool blue helmet.
Safety first.
Thanks.
You're welcome.
Kara. Why are we getting helmets?
Because we had a friend and he's paralyzed from the ways down, but he was riding his bike and he was wearing a helmet, so that's why he's still alive. And he has a really awesome story. His name is David Platolero. I'll link something below. He is a musician, so you should definitely look him up. That's our wearing helmet.
The lady at the bike shop recommended her favorite chocolate churro place to us. So that's where we're heading now. Let's go.
We're already lost.
This is this road. Continuing the hunt for chocolate churros.
Bombinos hasn't gone well so far.
We have located the chocolate churros.
Quite Getting enough coffee ice.
That'll be watered down.
That's amazing.
Oh, my gosh. Carnival breakfast.
Well, you're gonna die. All right, Kayla, show me how the chocolate churro thing goes.
Take the churro, you dip it in the chocolate latte, and you eat the churro.
Nate, are you so happy right now?
So happy. This is one of the greatest combinations. And I hesitate to say this, and I'm not positive it's true yet, but this almost feels like an improved version of the Tim Tam slam. I'm sure that a lot of Australians and New Zealanders will be very disappointed.
So good.
I wish I could experience your joy right now. However, my sandwich is pretty awesome.
Now.
That looks.
Incredible.
I didn't think we could do it. We finished the whole plate of churros. We did it the healthy way, though. We didn't pour these 10 packs of sugar they gave to us on top. Top of them. Couldn't finish all the chocolate, though.
Now we're going on another personalized tour with Kayla Buchanan as our leader.
I can't see what I'm videoing. I feel like I'm In a rip.
Watch out.
Sam.
That was kind of neat.
Now I need to sanitize this somehow.
We're going to the river.
Where you do live.
Right up here in these apartments.
Gracias.
You can do it.
Nice.
Whoa.
You got a foot off the ground.
Watch Nate going through the skate park.
Wow.
Look at him go. He's coming over.
Yeah.
Bike tires just don't have that kind of traction.
We made it. Still smells like fish.
We just turned in our bikes and now we're going to the Christopher Columbus Museum. It's called El Archibo de los Indios.
Technically, we had the bikes until five. However, everyone here shuts down mid afternoon to take a long nap. So we had to turn them in early if we wanted to leave here.
Which is kind of annoying, but kind of awesome. Deciding when you needed to eat before we go to the museum or everywhere. It's going to be taking a siesta by the time we're done. And we usually don't do this, but we're going back to the same shopping place as yesterday.
Because it was amazing. I want these, but I can't eat.
I don't know.
Our cute waitress likes it when Nate orders in Spanish.
She is so sweet.
Obviously the consensus yesterday was that the burritos were the best. We all separately ordered.
No croquetas were the best.
That would be Kara's opinion.
That's a questionable. We got one new thing.
Everyone has to try one.
It's so good. You're not gonna like how close this is to your face, but it just happened. Was it as good the second time?
It was as good the second time.
Menu del dia.
Oh yes. Menu del dias are the best. So all these tapas places have these deals where you get a drink, a tapa or two. Tapa? Can you sing? Can you make a tapa? You get tapas, a drink and coffee. And it's all for this one fixed price. And we love these meal. So I feel like we're getting.
Like a five course meal. When do we ever get a five course meal?
Yeah. Some even come with dessert. Wonderful.
Thank you.
All of these boxes.
Are exploration documents from a long, long time ago.
We only got to read for like five minutes. Didn't learn a whole bunch. But now I know what Christopher Columbus looks like. We saw a bunch of really old papers of all the explorers with their signatures, which is awesome.
Now I have to go because we have to get back to Lisbon by 9 o' clock so we can check into our hotel. It's like 4:30 and it's a four and a half hour drive. What's the plan?
Ready?
Hey, will you look under the beds?
Not really sure what's happening. Caleb, with this room for us. We showed up at the place that or the number that we were supposed to show up at. They stood around lost for a while. They found some guy named John who has a interesting looking minivan. John informed us that there was some kind of mold in our room that needs to be disinfected. I think we're being moved to a new room.
Here's our hostel. We're leaving tomorrow and so we're going to try to spend as little time in here as possible. So we're going to go get some dinner.
If we pass gelato, then we're definitely gonna get that too. Or you could get a dessert sandwich, which I'm sure won't be very good, but we could try.
What in the world are all those people waiting for?
Whatever it is is not worth it. Plus it's.
Gotten too hard.
Bloopers look cool.
I can't lose a horse. Honey.
Be cool. Do it again.
I thought it was pretty cool.
It was so cool.
Bubbles already. Oh, fairy.
That was mean.
Where are we going?
The river. You look so cool.
Tell me what you did.
I bit my basket a little bit. I tried to drop into the bowl. It dropped in successfully driving the turn a little bit. It's slicker than it looks. And I ended up on the ground.
I think my shin is bleeding. Yes.
You can't do that kind of thing with the camera not going. I didn't know if you knew you were dropping into a my shin in.
A couple different places. Okay. I didn't know if you.
You knew you were dropping into a ball. And I went. You went in and I could see your helmet and then all of a sudden your helmet just disappeared. Well, another one.
I could successfully ride up on the side and I got sideways on it and then all of a sudden the bike just. Tires just started sliding out from underneath me. Unlike diving two days ago. I will not be trying that a second time. I learned my lesson. I got wise and old. My neck is actually still sore from the diving incident. I'm toasty. I'm bleeding. It's time to go.
This is how we get old.
Where are we, Nate? We are going through a tunnel. But currently Barrett has decided to pick up the camera instead of further navigating. Even though we still have no clue where we're going. No, don't worry. The phone doesn't work. Yeah, it's just going nowhere right now. Lost in the dark. Tunnels now. We're going back to Spain. Yeah. There's light. Oh, no.
