What time is it? Nine o'.
Clock.
Nine o'. Clock. Just pulled out of our campsite. What are we going to do? We're going to bungee jump off of a bridge, over a river, in a gorge.
And someone in the back of this van is having to be coerced to do it. But she's gonna do it. And by we, he means him and her back there. So we headed there. Mom, it's okay. If you see this video, everything. Everything went great.
You will have heard that he died before this video is finished.
So this might be a little awkward.
We're good. A little nervous. Not gonna act tough. Makes me a little nervous. But I'm in New Zealand. I have to. Apparently that's what people do here. They drive around in camper vans and monkey jump. Here it is.
There it is.
Here we are. We have the. We. The bungee jump here to the right. At this point. How are you feeling? I feel great right now. I will be very nervous. But right now it hasn't hit yet. Right now I gotta just pay for it. I got too many logistical things in the way before to get. I can get nervous. Joanne. I'm freaking out.
We're gonna get Jordan And Joanne's reaction to the first jumper of the.
Piece of cake.
Juann, did you just scream louder than the girl?
That doesn't even look that intense.
Just scuffed it out. Here's all you do. You ready? Hold tight. Hand out. Just fall forward now at all.
Benny. I'm in my knees. I'm not.
Julianne's been pacing back and forth for a while now.
Trying to remain calm.
She's not even paying attention to this. This is just happening.
I don't think she knows where even standing here. No.
No eye contact there. She caught us.
Jillian, is the pacing helping your anxiety? Yes.
It's hard to keep moving. There's all these people I've had.
We're about to walk onto the bridge. How are you feeling?
It still hasn't hit me at all.
It hit me.
Alrighty. Hold on to this and step over and into the loops.
And you can do the same with that one.
Please.
She's doing this for me. She doesn't really want to do it. She's a good wife.
I want to. She's got her push up.
You want to be able to say that you did it. You just don't want to do it. Currently.
Yes.
That first push is what she wants. Yeah. Thank you. Next.
I still am. Okay. I know I'm gonna get nervous out there.
There's about to be Tim Tam chums flying everywhere.
Gross. Tim Tam, for those who don't know, are the local New Zealand cookie. Just in case.
It's gonna be all right, guys. Bye.
All right.
Hello, buddy.
Hello.
All right, floppy disk all. So you've got what you're doing. Arms around each other. Hold on. All the time, the boys will hold you a pole out down the bottom to drag you into the boat. Grab that with your outside arms if you can. Can you drop that?
Yeah, I can.
So drop that, Grab the pole, pull you into the boat. Job's a good one. And up to the brown box. Here, guys. Give us a wave here, look.
All right, now turn us all the way to the edge.
All right. Ready?
Yeah. You're holding on and hugging.
Yes.
All right, here we go, guys. Oh, shoot.
Yeah, I'm alive.
She's good.
We're from Tennessee, usa.
Yes, as a matter of fact, we are.
We can't take that. So don't ask.
What?
You're gonna have to leave my boat. I can sing you plenty of country music. It just won't sound good.
I got friends in love Places where the whiskey dries thank you. All right, thanks.
How's it all fun? It was beautiful. My eyes were closed for a little bit of it. Did they have to push you? They pushed me for sure. I forgot all the rules. He's like, keep your hand out. Straighten your legs.
She went like this.
I went, boom.
They don't really give you time to think about it. Like, you get up there, and they're like, all right, you're strapped in. You're good.
They're like, picture.
Hey, hold on. Look at the camera. All right, you're going three. You can step out to the end. Three, two, one, boom.
And you're like, okay.
There you go. Proud of both of you. That was awesome.
Automatic cool points. That's right.
We just got parked in our flight. First paid campground. Unfortunately, campgrounds here cost, like, as much as it does to stay in a hotel. But we are completely out of water. We couldn't even do dishes last night. And it'll be really nice to plug up to electricity so we can have a heater. Because it was freezing cold last night. Jordan didn't get enough of an adrenaline rush. This morning, Julianne and I decided we're going hang gliding again. Mom, you weren't here to tell me. No. And Nate's gonna be a lot crazier. But we're not gonna tell you what he's doing yet. We'll just have to see? You'll just have to find out. This is what I just booked for, Kara and I. And now we're gonna go let her know that we're officially doing this.
This sheet of paper means that we are officially booked for the tallest bungee jump in New Zealand.
I can't believe this is happening.
And we've already paid the money, so we can't back out.
I feel like I'm gonna throw out.
It's gonna be so much fun. For the record, she wanted to do this. I'm not forcing this upon Kara.
Maybe. No.
She told me this morning she was gonna be very disappointed if we didn't budge each other.
I thought we were gonna do the shorter one.
It's my personality. If I'm gonna do something, I'm going all out. I figure I'm only paying for bungee jumping once in my life, so I might as well like go all out.
Enjoy.
Enjoy hang gliding.
Bye.
Have fun. Don't. You're about to jump like a mile down. Good luck.
Stop. You're making me more nervous. I'll miss you.
See y'.
All.
We are on our way to the bungee.
I have to remind myself to breathe the whole way down.
This is a four hour experience. We ride 45 minutes in a bus up the mountain and we ride this little gondola that's stretched out in between these two mountains. And then we jump from the gondola.
It is the tallest bungee in New Zealand. It is 130something meters, basically an entire football field.
And we were told that you free fall for about eight seconds, which is like forever seconds. Just count plus five.
And see is this.
Guys, I'm looking about a 40 minute drive out to the never space out there. On the way, we're going to go past the Cara Bridge, which is what? The original bungee jump. That is 43 meters. Forget about that. What I want you to imagine is something three times the size. Okay.
I'm excited. Can we all say sweet ass? That's what I want to hear. Beautiful. All right, let's get out of here, baby. Hit it.
Whoa. Oh, my gosh.
This is the basket hanging between the two mountains that we'll be jumping from like this.
Kara, initial thoughts? After seeing the basket.
We just got a little debrief about the jump. And I think. I think I'm just as scared just to go stand on the pod than I am to jump off of it. It's just hanging there. And then we have to hang there while everyone else goes.
Kara, how you feeling good?
I can't breathe.
Because you're weak. I can't breathe. Does it have anything to do with this? All right, guys. So those of you that are jumping.
I'm gonna throw up.
I'm way more scared than I thought I was gonna be right now.
My feet are sweating.
Everything is a little clammy right now.
Our motor totally swamped. So how chair is calmer now that we're hanging 134 meters above a canyon. And I'm still way more nervous than I thought.
There's just no turning back right now. Hi, Phillip.
This guy survived. Good job.
Here he goes.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
How was it?
How you feel?
Am I gonna freak out? Yes.
It is the scariest thing I've ever done.
When I tell you, can you breathe?
I don't even know if it was fun yet.
Are you crying a little bit.
It was the win. I think I was crying.
Do you have any pointers? Like, what are you. How hard did you jump?
I don't know. I feel like I jumped hard, but I was way more scared than I.
Thought I was gonna be.
Jump by the.
Way I've ever liked. Okay. For the people who don't know we both been skydiving and jumped out of airplane. This was like 10 times more of an adrenaline the airplane. You're so hot and you're falling like. You don't even lose your stomach because you have no death protection here. You have depth perception.
Oh, God.
Hello.
How are you?
Camera time on the right hand side. Give it away.
Yeah. Here we go.
Oh, that's so scary. Oh, man. Oh, gosh. Well, I'm this off my list. Hello. I'm back. Oh, my gosh.
How are you?
I'm wonderful.
Cara.
You appear to have taken it much better than me.
I. I don't even know what I think.
You're crying a little bit.
Perfect.
We're coming down.
Waiting on big ledge.
I've never seen you like that before.
I've never done anything like that before.
I'm still a little shaky.
Kara and I learned something about ourselves today. That we're not exactly the ground up.
Now we know that when someone says, if your friends jumped off a bridge, would you do it too? We will say yes.
Because of them.
This is what we're gonna do. I'm just gonna go.
Jordan's gonna lose an eyeball on the bungee. Oh, look at this. Domestic violence. That is that. She stabbed me. Jordan's so scared. He's crying blood.
You're gonna look like.
I don't need that. I just need a paper towel.
You need a band aid. It's like bleach. Bleeding.
It's okay. Hey, it blends in well with your skin.
You're so bright. You can do it. I'm so scared.
Yes.
This is incredible.
I can't even see anything. By far the biggest jo rest of my life. I'm crying a little bit. I don't know if that's from the wind or. Cuz I was so scared.
Crazy. Oh, man.
All the blank.
And back down again. Three. Oh, my gosh. Well, I can't believe. I just. I cannot believe that I just. Oh, gosh. That's the cliff.
Oh, that's so scary. Oh, my gosh. He's so far away.
Aunt Galena, thank you for the money for our birthdays because we splurged on this experience and we wouldn't have done it without you. I know that this is the last thing in the entire world that you would have wanted us to do with your money, but thank you.
Thank you.
