CANADA VAN LIFE DAY 2 | Kelowna with Hey Nadine!

They hike Knox Mountain for city views, rush to get handmade ramen before last call, grab coffee, film a couples travel Q&A with fellow YouTuber Nadine, and tour a distinctive 3D-themed winery (including tasting a 2016 Phoenix 100% Merlot). The video closes with evening van-life scenes, casual banter about tattoos, and campsite plans.

Okay, it is 1:37. Nadine has promised us handmade ramen if we can make it to this restaurant before 2:00'. Clock.
You're gonna turn right in 3.4 kilometers.
Okay. Today is day four on our Canadian road trip from Vancouver to Calgary. And late last night we arrived in the town of Kelowna, which is known as British Columbia's wine region. We had dinner at a winery and they were even nice enough to let us stay there for free last night.
Van life. Love it. We're extra excited about today because we're gonna be hanging out with our friend Nadine, who we've hung out with twice before. The first time was in India. We literally ran into her. It was crazy. There's like billions of people. And then last weekend she was at travel and today she's showing us around her hometown.
Phone disconnected.
We're here, we're here. This is the part that we kind of skipped because, you know, we're gonna go hike up to the upper. Lookup.
How cute are my new Walmart boots. This is Nadine. Hello. We are super excited to spend the day with her today because we have been following her probably longer than any other traveler. So he's been on YouTube for a very long time. I'm really excited that you guys are in my hometown of Kelowna. And now we're getting to do a lovely hike today. See Knox Mountain at sea, views of Kelowna, and hopefully no bears. Or bears. It should be. Are there cougars? No, there's no cougars.
I did not expect to be warm on this hike. We've only been going for what, five minutes?
Ten minutes.
Ten minutes. And I'm wearing my tank top. Maybe it's the coffee. I think most people bring water on hikes, but it's fine. I got the water. Why not?
We have just made it to the top of Knox Mountain and it is incredibly beautiful up here.
You can see the entire city of Kelowna. It is beautiful. Literally. Literally entire. It's not that big.
Okay.
It is 1:37. Nadine has promised us handmade ramen if we can make it to this restaurant before 2:00'. Clock.
10 minute drive. I'm nervous we're gonna miss it.
Let's go make it.
We gonna be asking for last call within like two minutes or something. We walked in and they were doing last call, so we had two minutes to order. We sat down really fast, looked at the menu, ordered really quick, and we got three different ramens to choose from. I really did. So I got the Original. That's classic ramen. N.
Some kind of fancy one that's really, really good and vegetarian. It has, like, coconut milk in it. We're gonna try one more. I still can't believe how fusion Asian culture is in Canada. And I love it. How is it?
It's gonna work on my dinner like a delicious face. I just love ramen. It has been so long.
We close down.
Yummy.
Walking off our news. Going to the waterfront. Showing you downtown colon.
We just grabbed a quick coffee because we need our brains to be working really well. And it's coffee because we are about to do a travels.
Willy. Well, we need our blind wicket.
We need our blinds Wiki Willy. Well.
We'Re about to do a travel couples couples travel. Couples travel Q and A. Because we are about to film a.
We are gonna film a travels couple Q and A for Nadine's travels couple.
That's couples travel.
I've been listening to you too many times. We are going to film a couples travel Q and A for Nadine's channel that we will link down below when it's finished. Thank you for putting up with us.
It's all good, guys. All good. My coffee is barely not kicked in yet. My brain is not working.
That's funny.
The weather's taking a turn for the worse during our Q and A.
It's raining so hard.
The vibrant vine. And for our last stop of the day, because we are in wine country, we're gonna do a wine tasting at a winery, the vibrant vi.
This winery is super unique because we're gonna go on a little 3D tour of the winery.
This is nuts. Does it look 3D in the camera loop?
Oh, it can't.
Do you think if I hold the glasses in front of the camera, you can see? What if you, like, layered them?
Opposite eye?
Yeah.
Does that work?
Does it look 3D?
No. I don't think the viewer is going to be able to get this experience.
You also have to come to Kelowna. I like to start with the whites and the reds. They also have two bucks and wines if that's something you wanted to try.
Keith, welcome to the vlog. Hello.
I have a double teeth. Oh, this one's big. I know.
And it's like.
Because it's, like, wavy. So it's like the falcon's coming out of you. Yeah, it's like Harry Potter. How's your shirt feeling? I feel like I need to wear these while I taste the wine too. We're starting with the sparkling. The 3D glasses help me taste an extra dimension.
Nate's joke.
Nate, you'll make good dad jokes one day.
2016 Phoenix 100% Merlot.
This is like the most informational wine taste.
Wow. Everything looks 3D.
Real life.
It was definitely one of the most unique wineries that we've ever been to.
I loved it.
It turns out that the couple who started the winery just kind of decided to retire and do it for fun. And then their son was really good at like this weird psychedelic art. So they just like combined forces and now they've created this super interesting place.
It's cool.
And it was like you. They gave you 3D glasses when you walked in. And by the time we had walked around the place for like five minutes, I already had a headache.
Our day with Nadine and Kelona is officially over. But it's not goodbye forever. One day, somewhere in this world, we'll be back together. We'll meet again.
Thank you for showing us around today.
Thank you for coming and experiencing Kalona.
Okay, we're going to find our campground for the night.
All right, bye, guys. I wish you could join us, but we don't have any room. But okay, I have like an actual bed. Yeah, okay, fair enough. Okay, bye. Van Life. Cat wise. Well, we made our first Van Life. Oh. I slammed the door and accidentally left half of the curtain in the door. And it just dragged down the road in the rain and it's soaking wet and filthy. It was down here just like this when we opened the door, like dragging on the street for about 10 minutes. So.
Hopefully it comes out in the wash.
I don't think that's ever going to be the same.
Alright, so we just walked by two tattoo shops. So we've been talking about tattoos.
Here is the question.
How many millions of views would YouTube have to guarantee us for us to get a tattoo? The side of a Toonsie? Toonie, Toonie, Toonie.
What is the Canadian?
I don't know, maybe like this big of a tattoo. Either a globe or an airplane anywhere on your body. But we're stuck with it for the rest of our lives. And we did it just for the YouTube views.
I think I would just do it.
Don't say that. She's not a good 10 million.
She's not a good negotiator.
No, I'd probably get it on like my butt like somewhere. You go see it, a good cover.
Photo and you might get a million views minimum.
Gotta be like 10 million views. That's fair because that's like, whoa. Next level does the tattoo place close? Do you like an airplane.
With like the dot? Like, right.
The cloud just melts behind it.
Okay, let's find a conversation. This is our current tripod because van life camera tripod. Cooler picnic table. Natural light. Was it better because your glasses are on your head?
Yes. I feel like your dad right now. This is how Kara's dad wears his glasses. And then when he needs them and he goes. And then they go.
We're making dinner in an RV with four that was made for two.
I am standing on a chair in order to get this shot to fit the whole kitchen in one frame.
This is what you do.
When you have four people in a two person rv.
I love it.
It's our first date night with you guys. It's very romantic. We're both in the bed.
Can we just spend the night.
