Hello. Okay, we're coming.
Doors closing.
Going down, first floor, doors opening.
The passport, everything you do, sir. I hope so.
Oh, that looks super weird. All right, let's just hold it.
We finally made it to the lounge. Finally got some coffee. Good morning from the Dubai airport. First of many today.
Today we have a 30 hour, I was gonna say 30 hour travel day, but I guess that's actually more than a day. We have 30 hours of travel to go home for the weekend to attend a wedding and then we are hitting the road again. So we are officially leaving the Gulf States and we're both a little sad about it.
It's good month and we know that there's so much more to do here, so we have to come back. Like, there's no doubt in my mind that we are coming back here.
Our long travel day starts with the eight hour flight to London.
Getting on a double decker plane.
Wow. We are flying on a Qantas A380. And an A380 is a plane that has two levels all the way across. Also, we are really hoping that we have this out all to ourselves. We only slept for about four hours last night.
My eyes are bloodshot.
I'm just tired. Thinking about how tired we're going to be by the time we get back to Nashville.
Please nobody sit next to us. Please nobody sit next to us.
Also, I can't see anything out the window. The wing is so huge and we're sitting right over the top of it. It's just white metal. So no views for the flight today.
It's boarding.
Yeah.
Did we get the seat? Did we get the seat? Oh, it's okay. Nobody's sitting here. Oh, come on, D. There's nothing to worry about. Nine hours are going to be so much more pleasant.
You hate people.
I don't hate people.
I just like space.
Welcome to the spirit of Australia and have a great flight that.
Please make sure your window shades are up and your seatbelt fastened for the landing.
Everyone's getting off the plane. Nate's finishing his show.
Eight hours later, we have landed in London.
It's a great flight. I seriously love Qantas.
They all the people on every Qantas flight we've been on have been so nice.
All of the all seasons.
Food was good, had tons of room, so I got some good sleep.
It's finishing his show.
Eight hours later, we have landed in London.
It's a great flight. I seriously love Qantas.
They all the people on every Qantas spot we've been on have been so.
Nice all the all seasons.
Food was good, had tons of room. So I got some good sleep, watched some good tv.
It was good.
Travel day is off to a good start.
Yeah, it was really good. We're in the terminal that we're flying out from now.
I have a straight to the loud four shower layover. I think I need to look at that.
Okay. Turns out we do not have four hours. We have 10 minutes to our flight start.
We're gonna make it. We're gonna make it. Not helpful.
The good news is we're getting our exercise.
So when I said we had two minutes, we hadn't even cleared security yet. Thankfully, there was not a line at security.
Security, good tv. It was good food.
Travel day is off to a good start.
We're definitely gonna make this flight. I can see the gate. I think the mistake somewhere I saw.
That we had formal that we're flying out from now.
I have a straight to the lounge for a shower layover. I think need to look at that.
Okay. Turns out we do not have four hours. We have 10 minutes to our flight. So four hours. But that didn't take into account the four hour time change from Dubai to London. So that's why we're rushing to our gate. I don't know where I saw that.
It would have been super likely for us to go sit in a lounge and just not even look at the board for another hour.
You would think we would be better at this after two or four years. Hey, we're gonna make it. It's all good. Oh, there's our gate. And we're stuck on this. We're stuck on this walkway.
Jump over the ledge.
Let's go to Dallas. We made it. Not even final call.
The quadruple s curse.
We did make it on the flight, but we were one of the last ones because Kara got a special safety check. Again, for those of you who have never had the quadruple s before, basically, it's like you're a threat getting on the plane. Security. You really need to watch this person. So you get a bunch of extra checks as you're getting on the plane.
But she passed.
She passed.
The lady did have a lot of questions about what we've been doing in the Gulf States for the past four weeks though.
But they were very nice. And we made it. And this.
We're gonna make it. We're gonna make it. Not helpful.
The good news is we're getting our exercise.
So when I said we had two minutes, we hadn't even cleared Security yet. Thankfully there was not a line at security. Security. We're definitely going to make this flight. I can see the gate. I think the mistake somewhere I saw.
That we had full has TVs and outlets. I can charge my computer into the vlog.
Unfortunately, we don't have a window seat. We're stuck in the middle. So no takeoff or landing shots.
We do have an extra seat.
I think it was worth it.
Could be worse.
Back in the usa.
Dang. It.
Was so fun.
Great.
It never fails. Every single time, no matter how hard I try, it takes the picture before I'm ready. I think they do it on purpose. It's like small for the camera, but it's already taken it.
We haven't had like any lounge time on this trip. But we are about to redeem it because we've just landed in Dallas, which is where one of our favorite domestic lounges is. And we have just enough time for tacos.
Nachos.
Bye.
Thank you.
Always sad to leave that place, but happy we're going home. One more flight. Last spot of the day is always super let down. It's like this tiny plane, no food or drinks served. You weren't even gonna tell me.
Four hours. But that didn't take into account the four hour time change from Dubai to London. So that's why.
Thank you.
Rushing to our gate. I don't know where I saw that we.
It was. It would have been super likely for us to go sit in a lounge. We have lots of choices. So thanks for choosing American. We're happy to be your airline and just not even look at the board for another hour.
You would think we would be better at this after two full years. But hey, we're gonna make it. It's all good. Oh, there's our gate. And we're stuck on this.
If you have a handheld device, please switch it to airplane mode. Now please pay close attention. And before you know it, we'll be off.
The Passeng arriving at C10. That's Charlie tent.
Our alarms went off about 28 hours ago in Dubai. And we have been on a plane for about 24 of those hours.
One of our most efficient travel days. Also some of the least time we've ever spent in a lounge while we've been traveling this long.
Oh, it's been kind of boring.
Normally when we come home, we're home for a very long period of time. This time is totally different. We're only home for three days. We're here for a wedding. So the next video that you see Will probably be us leaving for Aruba for another wedding.
Sorry if today's video is kind of not interesting. It's kind of hard over a span of almost 30 hours knowing if you really have a story or what you've captured. Especially when we're half a second and.
When you're sitting in the same seat for pretty much 20, well, three different seats. Felt like sitting in a seat for 24 hours, not near a window.
My dad's here to pick us up.
So for our 100k giveaway, we are giving away a free trip for one person and a friend to do the ever space camp trek.
It's going to be our best giveaway ever. On Monday, March 5, 2018, we will be selecting Stuck on this walkway. Jump over the ledge.
Ding.
The winner.
These are our first steps on the way down. Let's go to Dallas. We made it. Not even final call.
The quadruple S curse.
We did make it on the flight, but we were one of the last ones because Kara got a special safety check. Again, for those of you who have never space camped, one of very, very many. Third day, day eight, day 11, day 12 of the trek. We think it's currently 4:55 in the morning. That's Everest. Kara's being a trooper. Hardest thing I've ever done. Split him. Kara.
Ha.
Made it.
We're almost there.
We're getting closer.
Went out of our layers. Currently descending into Everest base camp. Put all of our clothes back on.
We are officially at.
Thank you. Thank you, Sanam for getting us here.
We're so excited.
Good luck.
