Get it.
Get it.
Get it.
Get it.
Be.
Yesterday we wore ourselves out looking at temples all day.
So today we're hanging out at the pool, and then. And then we're getting a muffin.
$6 for an entire hour of a full body massage. Love this place.
It was awesome.
And a little awkward.
Kind of awkward, but so worth it.
I'm in obvious need of a haircut. This will be my first international haircut.
This is a huge deal, even if we are still in america because Nate has either cut his own hair or his dad has cut his hair since, like, middle school. I'm really looking forward to. Really not looking forward to it.
I don't think it's gonna go very well. Here's my strategy. I screenshotted this great picture of myself from the first video that we did, like, right after I gotten a haircut. And I'm just gonna point to it and hope that that's what they do.
Wish me luck.
Just shorter on the sides and longer on the top. And then it way.
Not instilling a lot of confidence in me. Yeah. Like, just like that.
Yeah.
Similar to his.
Here we go. Nate's hair blends in with all the black hair on the ground.
Hi.
Thank you.
Well, Much better than expected. It looks pretty much like it did when I left.
It does.
We'll have to compare it to the picture when we get in better light. I think he nailed it. Oh, look, we compare it now.
I think you nailed it.
Man, I'm still so pumped about my haircut. We're into something a little adventurous tonight.
The people at our hotel said that eating bugs is what you're supposed to do here on pub street. We haven't seen any yet, but we're gonna try to go check them out and decide if it's worth eating a bug.
That looks good. I want this one. Never leakas.
Just a little. So just. Okay.
Excellent.
I really have no clue what any of this is, but I really like it. We don't know what comes in.
Appears to be kind of like one of the mystery boxes of chocolate. You don't know what you're going to get in the middle.
Corn. That sounds pretty normal.
There's corn.
Corn. All right, here we go.
Maybe coconut. And, like, mushed up rice with a surprise in the middle.
They found the bugs.
All right.
Which one is your favorite? The snake.
You like the snake?
Yeah. What about the crickets? Kara, you gotta do it. She's gonna do it first.
Oh.
Oh, you got a big one.
That one's so much bigger.
Here's our crickets. We're starting small. Here we go.
One.
Which one's hairy? The tarantula. Oh, I don't think I can do that.
These are good flavors.
Okay. We're taking his advice.
All right. I'll stay and watch. All right, here we go. The only thing that freaks out is you got to chew them right up and then all the flavor comes out. The leg part sticks. Cheers.
Alright. Isn't it.
Not as bad as you think it's gonna be? There's more poke than I thought it was gonna be. It's the texture. Yeah, exactly. It doesn't taste bad. What next?
Snake.
Snake is big. I kind of want to go with scorpion.
Okay.
Yeah, let's split one of those.
Okay.
I like that one.
All right. You're trying it first.
No, you have to try it first.
Which side? Heads or tails?
How do we choose? Well, that's where their poison is, right?
Y. I think we'll cut that off.
Do you eat the tail?
Do you eat the tail?
Yeah, it's all.
All. Yeah. So you. So you.
Yes, please. Yeah. Thank you. Thanks. I'm going back. I'm going back now. All right, next.
Going first. We have an audience.
It's a lot meatier than the cricket. Gross. Had the crickets. Is that worse? The crickets are better. This is way meat in there. The crickets have nothing. Yeah, yeah. There's stuff inside of it. Yeah. Just one big bite. Put it in.
Ready? Here we go. Meaning the top half of a scorpion.
All right.
Oh, that was such a good bite.
Stick your tongue out and show it to me. Stick your tongue out. Oh, my gosh.
That's so much.
That was such a big bite.
Here, I'll eat it with you.
Okay. That's like dessert. Yeah. Fear factor.
The claws aren't as bad. There's no. There's no meat in the claws.
Protein on a skewer.
Thank you.
I don't think I can do the spider. Spider is the only other thing that I'm like.
And a scorpion like. I don't see why. How we could get worse. Do you want me to do it?
You want to do it? I'll do it. She's turned brave. All right, one spider. How about that one?
Oh, the backside is. Is way worse. Oh, so much worse.
It's very mushy.
Mushy is not the word that I want to do. Oh, my gosh.
It bit you.
It's still.
Oh, hold up. Oh, gross.
Oh, you were so brave. You ate a pool. Oh, there's White. Oh, no, no, it's okay. It's good.
It tastes kind of fuzzy.
Oh, my gosh.
But the rest of it's okay.
Do you want the other half?
I said I was done, and then she had to want to eat the spider. Okay, just stick it in.
Just so it doesn't go away.
That is a once in a lifetime thing that you do, so you can say you've done it once.
Well, mark that off the bucket list. Yeah, I don't think it was on my bucket list.
But I can mark it off now. I can't believe we did it.
I just, like.
I got this adrenaline, and I just wanted to keep going. Nate hasn't stopped me.
I'm not gonna eat this bite. Kara impressed me big time.
I thought the tasted like dirt, and the rest of the meaty ones were better.
I was gonna say, I think they were cooked in, like, soy sauce or something. And so, like, the flavor wasn't that bad. It was just the texture. The leg. Knowing what you're eating.
Yeah.
Glad we did it.
Way to go.
All right, we'll do it.
We'll do the frog.
Yeah.
Here's part two of our dinner.
We had bugs as appetizers. Now we're having frogs.
Ah. I'm feeling a lot better about this than I was about the bugs.
Yes. Did he chop his head off?
I can't tell what's going.
That tastes good.
Is it good?
Yeah. It shouldn't even be, like, a. A weird food. We should eat these, like, regularly in the United States.
I don't know about that. Look at its little toenail.
After eating the frog, I've come up with a better description of what it's like. It's kind of like a chewier chicken with, like, a hint of fishiness. But I really enjoyed it. The barbecue sauce on it was fantastic.
My lift tread. I still can't feel them.
They had a little over a head.
Nate got some bug spray on his lips, and it started tingling.
Okay, she's gonna eat the top half. No, not the claws.
I know. Those are scary.
How nice of him to leave the claws for you.
Right.
There's, like, crab claws. That's part of your mouth.
So it's old.
I wanna.
Ah, it is.
Meaning. Yeah, don't look. Here, I'll take. I'll take one of the bums and stuff with my teeth. I want to know. It's either a scorpion, a tarantula, or a cricket. This one. My lips.
Can you see it?
Tarantula hair on your lips.
