We made it to the equator because.
Of force of gravity. So let's start with the north. So come this way.
So in case you couldn't hear him, he was saying that on the north side of the equator, the water spins clockwise and on the south side of the equator, it spins the opposite direction.
And let me ask you a question. What would happen in the middle?
It wouldn't spin.
Won't spin. So if you are unlucky to buy a property along the equator, you're in trouble.
Your toilets want flush.
See, it's going clockwise.
Has to go clockwise.
Now we're on the south side of the equator and the water should spin anticlockwise.
Whoa.
And we are literally like 15ft away from the equator and it's spinning the opposite direction. We weren't gonna vlog today because all we were doing was going on an eight hour van ride from Wabuya to Beaumet, but then we crossed the equator. And currently Kara is standing in the northern hemisphere and I am standing in the southern hemisphere. So how can you.
We had to vlog it, but this is all we're gonna film today. So the rest of the of this vlog will be in moment.
See you tomorrow.
It.
Oh, wow. Already lined up for the clinic. Wow.
It is day five of our medical clinics here in Kenya. We are in beau met now and we pulled into this school and there was already a huge line, which is the first time that's happened.
We have gotten much higher in elevation, so it's actually cold here. But we are surrounded by tea fields and it is absolutely beautiful.
It was a very pretty drive in.
Looking forward to a great three days in Beaumont.
Good morning. Nice to meet all of you young men. Did I get your shave?
All of these fields are handpicked. It's tea. What. What type of tea?
Black tea. Okay.
We just opened the clinic and this is the line that was formed before we even started.
Today was pretty short. I got to be in triage and ask people their symptoms and write them down before they see the doctors. And we only saw about 425 today, but it was still a good day.
Just because we only saw 425 patients doesn't mean we weren't going super fast all day. Phil, the leader of CMN is here and he keeps things moving.
So it's only about 2 o'.
Clock. Hello.
And we're shutting down.
They didn't want to be in the vlog.
I got to hang out with a lady who was in a tribe where they stretch her ears out.
Really far.
And we were asking her a bunch of questions. She's 78 years old and she says she never cried. They took a sharp knife to make it bigger.
And then she was laughing at me since mine were so small and I have a little nose ring. She was cute. Her name was Esther.
I think we get to go to the market tonight.
Oh, and I got a photo with her.
We're gonna link it. Yeah.
Bye.
Bye.
By.
Our driver.
Martin just brought us to the local shop because our friend Keith would like to buy a jacket. So we are doing this very authentic experience with them.
What kind of brand did he want?
He wants either Patagonia, Columbia or North Face. And Martin said, you will not get any of those here. It's all used clothes.
He said, you will get a jacket.
You will just get a jacket.
How's it looking, Keith?
Oh, I like the jean jacket. Oh, that one looks like you could pilot a plane.
It's like Carhartt a little bit. Not Patagonia. Small or what do you think? I don't know. It's a double X or like. I think it's a youth double X.
Thank you.
A leather jacket would make me really happy.
Kara, I think we need to. I think we need to upgrade our suitcases while we're here.
Yeah, that's really cool.
We've been unsuccessful at the first 10 shops. Keith is picky. Just kidding.
Kara, it's not your turn to shop.
This is the one the shop owner picked out for me. Oh, I love that. It's really cute. Keith, did you find a winner?
I found. I found a winner.
Ish. After some heated negotiation, he's walking out with it. It'll do.
Will son some.
I take in a bunch of lanes.
So close. Just need an O right there. Thank you, son. Right.
I think the camera is on.
