This is a first-person vlog by Nate Buchanan documenting his long trip to Tokyo. The transcript covers airport moments (lounge visits, gate announcements), commentary on a 13+ hour flight (sleep, editing behavior), and arrival logistics in Tokyo (train ticket to Shinjuku, reserved seats, subway navigation, walking to an Airbnb and converting bags to backpacks). The tone is conversational with moments of humor and mild travel stress.

Prepare for departure. Close your tray table and switch your seat in the upright position if you haven't already. Passenger seat belt. Insert the middle finger into the buckle and pull the strap so it's tight across your tip.
A9. San jose.
All right. We're going to our favorite lounge, Venturia Lounge. Unfortunately, carrot is on top of us. Massage though.
Currently making a poor decision. Our white boards in 10 minutes, but we're still going to the Centurion Lounge.
Welcome to my new life.
Chasing Nate.
To our gate.
Every single time. He's so fast.
20J. Thank you. That's it.
That we're going to. Kara. How you feeling? Freaking out. Yeah, in a good way. Are you excited about the 13 hour flight?
We'll check back in and see how she feels about it in about hour.
About 10 hours into the flight, I just woke up. Cara over here has been editing wedding video ever since we left. Hasn't slept at all.
Karen just woke up. We are 12 hours into the flight. Told her we'd check back. How you feeling?
A little tired.
I've been standing at this spot in the airport for about 15 minutes now trying to figure out how to get to our Airbnb. How you feeling? Yes. What are the chances that we'll make it there in the next two hours? Very unlikely. Let's do this.
Okay. This is ticket today. From here to Shinjuku, 448 kilo.
We are currently taking the walk. Shame. Dumb Americans didn't know.
We have reserved seats on this train.
We don't know how to get out of the subway. Each step along the way that we get to, we get lost and then we have to figure something else out.
We are converting our bags into backpack mode for the 15 minute walk to our Airbnb. Oh my gosh. I'm dying. This is so terrible. I'm getting rid of all of my stuff.
Like it's not even holding this backpack. That's cuz your bag's not strapped. No wonder you're miserable. What do you mean? I didn't strap. You didn't strap them into the bottom of the bag. So it's actually a backpack. They were just like strangling you.
