Vlog-style YouTube video (uploaded March 31, 2017) documenting Day 1 of an eight-day luxury yacht trip in the Galápagos with Royal Galapagos. The hosts (Nate and Kara Buchanan) and guides (Ricardo Sevilla, Jaime) arrive, board via zodiac, receive briefings, settle into suite #6 on the second deck, eat lunch (announced ~12:00), snorkel (sighting fish, sea turtles, and a shark shadow), then take a hike where they observe blue-footed boobies, pelicans, land iguanas (Conolopus subcristatus), and other wildlife. The tone is enthusiastic and travel-oriented.

We're here.
We just landed in the Galapagos for the next eight days. We're going to be aboard a luxury yacht with Royal Galapagos exploring the islands.
The sun is shining, it's super hot outside and I'm super excited.
Now we're about to get on a bus and be taken to our boat yacht.
We're getting on the zodiac to go to our new home.
Thank you very much.
Welcome.
Thank you.
This is happening.
My name is Ricardo Sevilla, I'm the course director and of course we're going to be in touch all the time. We are going to have a little bit of the information, a little bit of many other topics as well. The briefing from our naturalist before we head into the cabins and do all the things that we need to do so.
Friends, welcome to the Labor St.
We just got a briefing from our cruise manager and the naturalist. They seem like really cool, guys. And now we're going to see.
Our cabin cabin see Zach put already you luggage.
Here. Thank you. Thank you, please.
Thank you very much.
You're welcome. Please I have no hurry for lunch. It will be around. Let's say twelve.
Okay, okay, take you three.
Thank you so much.
This is our room. Oh my gosh, it's so nice. Look at our huge bed and our balcony.
Can't believe, this is our room.
So we just got settled into our room. We are in suite number six on the second. Deck. Our room is amazing and we have our own private outdoor balcony so far.
The Globgos islands have already been so cool. Seconds after walking off the bus, I already saw a blue-footed booby and the biggest pelican I've ever seen. I think this week is going to be the coolest ever. And they just announced that lunch is ready.
Lunch was so good And now we have an hour to hang out on our private balcony before our first stop.
It's a hard life. Somebody's gotta do it though.
We just got all of our snorkel.
Gear for the rest.
Of the week and now we're about to go snorkeling.
We've been told to stay on the lookout for sharks and sea turtles. I'm really excited about the second one. Don't know how I feel about sharks in the water.
This is insane. That's so easy.
Snorkeling was awesome. We saw tons of fish and we've heard it only gets better. We got to come back here, change our clothes and now we're going on a little hike.
We have Sally like food crabs in the shore.
Very good food for herons, for American oyster culture and for people. But not here in Galápagos. We don't eat crops here. We don't eat heron. We don't eat blue for the boobies. We don't eat sea lions or iguanas. No, no. We protect everything.
Our guide is speaking to the birds. Right now he started making noises and they all answer.
Over. There is the type of lang Iwana. We call Conolopus subcristatus. It's hungry. Look at that. Portulaca is amazing, sweet and good for them. It's like for us chocolate cake. It's moving.
There is no way that you can appreciate this dinosaur that we're looking at. Right now it is at least. How many pounds do you think like twenty pounds is massive. Oh, so crazy more.
This one's huge.
My favorite part about this hike is that Nobody is here. The naturalist on our boat. Jaime loves to do the activities early in the morning and later in the evening, because that's the light is best. All the animals are way more active and everybody has already left. It is so quiet. All you can hear are the birds chirping and the ocean. It's been great.
Take a snapchat.
Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. This is not a drill. This is not a. Actually, it is Kara.
Don't touch any gap.
Hey, no guy. A lot of wildlife going on in the Galapagos right now Nate, fill me in.
We are currently watching pelican sitting on the Zodiac like fifteen feet away. From us. And then we probably saw like an eight foot shark that's just been. Circling the boat. We can just like see its shadow.
