Good morning.
Coffee's ready. Thank you.
It is 9:30, but my body thinks it's 6:30, which feels way too early to be filming. But we're going to try this anyway. So I know you want to know what's coming next, and you may. You may realize that we're back living in a hotel, but that's not what this video is about. However, I will give you a quick look out the window as a. As a hint to where we are.
It is rugged. It is very far from Nashville.
Don't fall. Where we are. And what's coming next will all be explained in a video that we're releasing on Sunday. But for now, I have a quick Valentine's Day challenge for you. Kara and I have been married for over six years, and almost every morning since then, I've brought her coffee in bed. This isn't something I'm saying to pat myself on the back. There is a point to this. So at some point early in our marriage, I brought Kara a cup of coffee in bed one day, and I realized how happy it made her. And then seeing her happy made me happy. So I continued to do it, and then it just kind of became a habit. It's something that I try to do every morning now, and also something that we've included in our videos over the last four years with our really thinking much about it. However, lately people have started tagging us on Instagram when they've been bringing their partner coffee in bed. And then we had the party in Nashville a few weeks ago, and I talked to a few people who told me that they were grateful that I did that for Kara because now their spouse did that for them and it was part of their routine, and that just made me really happy. It seems like a pretty insignificant thing, but the more that I've thought about it over the last couple years, it's something that I'm really intentional about continuing to do because I've realized that if nothing else, it guarantees that I do one thoughtful thing for Carat every single day. I am far from perfect. And I'm sure there are plenty of days where I wake up and then I just get engulfed in this, like, selfish, stressful, all the things that I have going on and on those days. I might not be the best husband, but the good thing about doing this first thing in the morning is that it's before the day gets too crazy. And it's just one way that I can guarantee that I do something nice for Kara. So on this Valentine's Day, I want to challenge you to bring your partner coffee or whatever their drink of choice is in bed for the rest of the month. Or you can just do it for one day, because one day is better than no days. And I realize I didn't invent bringing your partner coffee in bed, but I do think it's one of the best things that I do for Kara and I's relationship. And so if I can spread that to some other people's relationships, that's what I'm trying to do in this video. And if for some reason, your circumstances don't allow you to bring your partner coffee in bed, I would challenge you to think through how you can add one thoughtful thing into your daily routine. Okay, that's it. There's no prize for completing the challenge. I just wanted to spread the idea of doing one thoughtful thing for your loved one every single day.
Happy Valentine's Day. Happy Valentine's Day. We're not perfect. We're far from perfect. Which is why.
Which is why you have to be intentional about building a good relationship. And this is one small way to do that. Okay, see you. What's today? Friday? I have no idea. Yep. All right. See you in a couple days. With all the plans, all the announcements, all the stuff. Yay. In a very exciting place. I'm sorry. We're making you wait. Carousel has to finish editing.
I smelled it.
