Cause you change.
You're not the angel I want to.
This was my bed last night.
And this was Nate's bed last night.
Greatest economy flight ever. It was nice.
I like Qantas.
Good job, Qantas.
The vlogging camera is dying. We're switching to my older life.
No need to tell me that with you.
You broken my heart change.
We've now wasted the first 45 minutes of our 24 hours in Sydney trying to get money out of the atm. It should be working.
You can do it. Oh, I hear.
Oh didn't get mad at us. Give us some money.
He gave us money. Hang up on that guy. We don't need him anymore.
All right, We've now been at the airport for about an hour. We got some money, though, and for some reason the trains are shut down today, so we've got to figure out how to catch the bus to the central station to try to find a hotel. So we've decided to try to save some money. And there's a train station that's about a 20 minute walk away. Should only be $4 a piece to get into the city instead of $18 a piece to get into the city.
And look how pretty it is today.
It is a beautiful day and the craziest thing just happened. Did you realize what just happened?
We asked more for directions and they answered in English and we understood them, and now we're doing it.
Whoa.
Maybe leaving Asia isn't so bad. There's some perks. Quick.
We're not dodging motorbikes in the middle of the street. This is crazy. I'm enjoying a lot of things about Sydney so far. Oh, look how nice those people are.
Look, they stop.
The one thing that I'm not enjoying and that I'm gonna try not to complain about on the vlog too many times over the next few days. Is my readjustment to paying western prices for everything going to be very painful?
Sydney, Australia.
There's going to be a lot of this. And I'm just going to apologize in advance. This guy is skeeting through the park.
That is awesome.
Literally, with poles and all.
Some of those roller skis.
I'm gonna put a little more positive spin on this hike.
Get some vegemite for lunch.
We're just getting in shape for Everest.
Had a very small Bree this morning.
This is ridiculous. Well, we have 10% battery on the phone, so vlog might be.
Got a little bit of shock today.
That's what I was gonna say. Just not like that.
Our camera died. All you missed was us buying this really expensive hotel for this tiny.
This. This is it.
Except for it does have a window. And then we got coffee while our stuff charged and took a little walk in the park. And it was lovely. I really like it here.
So far. It was. And now we are going to the beach to get some fish and chips. And then later tonight we're gonna go check out the harbor.
So hungry.
That's our plans for our 24 hours in Sydney. Let's go. We just picked up two Opal cards so we can ride the public bus now and hopefully it'll take us to the beach.
Yeah.
I don't know if we paid or not.
Mine said 350.
3:50. We just got off on a random bus stop. We have no clue where we are. According to Google Maps, we should be trying to find bus 400.
That bus ride was a complete disaster. I wish I would have kept the camera rolling.
I got smushed in the door.
She literally pried the doors open. And then the bus driver stood up and gave us a small lecture in front of the entire bus about not getting on through the back doors.
It didn't say this is the back door.
How are we supposed to.
Everyone else got in the back door.
We were supposed to transfer to another bus but it's only like a 15 minute walk. So we're just going to walk the rest of the way to the beach.
We found the ocean kinda way over there.
We made it down under. Sydney, Australia.
About to walk around this beach, up the coast, around this corner to another beach, around another corner. And then we'll get to Bondi beach where our dinner is. And we haven't eaten anything today.
This is a nasty airplane breakfast.
I didn't even eat that.
Kara lost her bus card. She went back to look for it. Kara.
Lost it.
Bummer. There's only four bucks left. Let's enjoy the beach.
Bondi beat. I think we made it.
We thought we were gonna be here at lunchtime. Made it right before sunset. Let's get some fish and chips. I'm pretty hungry. Me too. We would do a time lapse of this awesome sunset but we only have one battery so we have to pick and choose today.
Blase.
You just tell me that you're tr.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Bigger than my head. We got the fish and chips.
Did we get sauce? If it's not the best fish and chips, it's the biggest fish and chips. I don't know. Go buy like six ketchups.
I would open it all the Way up. But I'm pretty sure these seagulls are gonna attack.
That is a big piece of fish.
Here we go. This looks delicious.
So good.
Alright. You better watch it before it gets taken out of your hand.
Even though we've had a lot of things go wrong today and I got smushed in the door of a bus. Our walk on the beach and this dinner has totally made up for it.
Best fishing.
Speaking of things going wrong.
I'm just not even surprised.
At most. But we couldn't finish all of them. That's like two more people could eat these. Yes. At least two serving sizes of french fries.
We gotta give them some.
Awesome. Awesome. All right. Carol wants to try to give him to a homeless person.
Hopefully this goes better than last.
It won't. That didn't take long. She gave up on the homeless person.
We were planning on going to Sydney harbor today but it's already like almost 7 o'. Clock. So we decided to get up early tomorrow morning and go before we go to the airport.
Hopefully getting home goes smoother than getting to the beach.
Kara. A new car and hopefully she doesn't lose this one.
I'm working on my accent because not very good at it yet. It sort of sounds like.
British people but they're the vowels. Valves. Softer. It smooths out the valves.
We are literally surrounded by birds.
And Karen knows what's coming.
Oh, it's attack of the birds. Will you grab that paper?
I'm leaving your phone with the birds.
They're going to eat it.
Don't poop on the phone.
