Today's video is not a normal travel vlog. Instead, we just have two very important announcements to share with you.
I have created an online course about editing vlogs.
You have no clue how big a deal this is. It took me forever to convince Kara to do this. People have been begging us in the comments, sending us messages asking Kara to do a tutorial about editing. Because if I do say so myself, she's gotten pretty good. But, like, self confidence wise, she just wasn't quite there yet. She couldn't imagine that somebody would want to learn from her. But after, like, months of convincing, the course is finally here.
Back when I made our first vlog over two and a half years ago, I had no clue what I was doing. I've watched so many online tutorials and it took a really long time, like 500 videos and two and a half years to get to where I am now. But all I wanted to do when we first started was just watch somebody, like, look over their shoulder, somebody who knew what they were doing for beginning to end. And that's exactly what my course is. We took a week off from filming our normal vlog. We went out and we filmed a mini vlog. I don't even know half that Premiere Pro does. And I really don't know all the technical words for a lot of things. So you'll hear a lot of words like whoosh and this little thingy. And it's fun, but she's efficient.
Like, you publish a video every other day, so, like, it also takes a lot of, like, the noise out of, like, you don't need to know everything that's inside of Premiere Pro. You only need to know these things to be able to make videos like ours. Sometimes it's really hard to convey a message in, like a short and concise way. We're a lot better at, like, walking and talking to the camera as opposed to sitting down and, like, actually trying to deliver a specific message to the camera.
