A vlog-style YouTube video by Nate and Kara Buchanan documenting their move from a farm in La Marche, Italy to Brussels, Belgium. The couple say goodbye to hosts, fly Ryanair (flight time ~1h49m), arrive at an outlying airport and take a bus then a short train into Brussels, check into an Airbnb, and explore a nearby square before eating at a Lebanese restaurant. The transcript includes practical travel details (weather ~22°C, Belgium marked as their 53rd country, a sandwich purchased for €6) and friendly interactions with locals.

There comes the time in everyone's life when you have to do something that you really don't want to do. Today is one of those times. We're leaving Italy. We're leaving Bob and Gina's.
We really don't want to, but the adventure must continue. Today we're going to a new country, and we are not walking and we are not driving. We are getting back on a plane, and we are going to Belgium.
Bob and Gino cooked us the best last meal. Here in Italy, we have breakfast burritos. They were delicious. I'm gonna miss them so much.
We have eaten such good food since we've been here.
Italy's been really good.
We've had such good views. Italy is one of those countries that, like, really, really surprised me. I mean, I thought it would be good, but it's been great. And I think being here at the farm in La Marche, in this, like, really local part of Italy has a lot to do with that.
Yeah, it's been the best. Thank you, Bob and Gina. And they're about to drive us to the airport, which is so sweet.
Sam.
It's really sad saying bye to them. But we're boarding.
So that airport did not have a lounge.
Because Gina made us homemade granola.
And my favorite snack from the year.
Seriously, the best.
We're coming back.
Flight time? I will be around 1 hour, 49 minutes.
It's a little bit cloudy, Even some light rain over the field with a calm wind and a temperature of 22 degrees. Sat landed in our 53rd country, Belgium. But we flew Ryanair, so they flew us to the airport. That's, like, forever away from the city. So now we have to figure out how to get into the city without spending a ton of money. I think our best bet is going to be a bus. I'm surprised there's nobody around here, like, trying to sell you a bunch of stuff like usual.
Isn't this pretty? Not as easy as we thought. It turns out you have to buy a ticket first.
Two tickets to Brussels 34, please. When does the next bus leave? In 20 minutes.
The bus is supposed to be here in 20 minutes, which will be 6 o'. Clock. It takes about an hour to get into the city, they said, so we should be there around seven or so. Never count on exact time with buses.
It's raining and we think we're in Brussels and we're going to try to get into the station.
So we have ducked into the train station and we are currently consulting Google Maps for the best route to Our place. Oh, look at that. Looks like we're pretty close. Brussels South Railway station. I think that's where we are.
Now. How do we buy a ticket?
Thank you so much.
Perfect. Or you own bitcoins? No, Bitcoin. No gold or coins. Ah. Okay. Half points. Okay. Okay. Thank you.
Thank you. Have a good day.
We met a super nice man who taught us how to buy the train tickets. He actually tried to tell us not to buy the train tickets because he was like, there's no way they're going to check. You only have to ride one stop. But we did it just to be safe. Do you get your back here? I got it.
I got it.
Thanks.
Let's go.
We're going to miss the train.
It is. Yes.
Yeah.
Right here.
Good. Is there a reason we walk to the other end of the train? No. Okay.
The old nice man just told us to go one stop and get off. So that's what we're doing. We totally could have not bought any tickets because this is like a two minute ride and nobody is on the train.
Sweet.
Now we just have a three minute walk to our apartment.
Map.
Mountain chocolate.
So we just got checked into our Airbnb. Our host was super nice. He came up here and showed us around. There's not much to see. This is it. We're at the top of this building. There's a bathroom right there. But seriously, this is it. That bed pulls out into a double bed. But it's nice. He did well with the space. He showed us all things to do in all of Brussels. And now we're gonna go find some dinner.
1 0.
How about zero?
Okay.
Which way?
I like the Mozart Hotel.
This is amazing.
This is incredible. Did you know this was here?
We just happened upon this little square with all these massive palaces with gold.
This is literally two steps away from our place.
This is awesome. But we are saving plane tourists for another day. Right now we're getting food and it's already like, oh, it is 9:05 and still very light outside. I'm looking over there.
Very good for. To take video. Yeah. Yes. And it's. It's okay. Yeah.
Yeah.
We have a YouTube channel. Where. Where you from?
Where?
From Amazon. You buy it? So not where I thought that we would find ourselves tonight. Our first night in Belgium at a Lebanese restaurant. But they have these sandwiches. It kind of looks like a gyro, like a pita gyro. And they looked and smelled incredible. Oh, that's really hot. That's so good.
What's in it?
I don't know. We ordered the mix. I see some onions and some kind of garlicky sauce. So good, so good. And it was only €6.
We are definitely coming back here. We're done with our food, and we got to talking to the waiter because he really likes our camera. Apparently he has a camera, too. And now I think he's bringing us some free tea. He is so adorable.
Look at the golden man riding on the horse.
Oh, yes.
