A short travel vlog by Nate and Kara Buchanan documenting a day trip to Lokrum Island near Dubrovnik, Croatia. It is a beautiful day in Dubrovnik. Today we are going to take a ferry over to the island of lokrum.
It's like 600 meters away from Dubrovnik. Like, so short, you could probably just swim there. But we've heard that there's wild peacocks and a miniature version of the Dead Sea and buddies, so it should be a fun day.

We made it to the island and we have no idea where to go.
Just want to go float in the Dead Sea with no effort. Yeah, I've always wanted to do that in his room.

We took a wrong turn at some point and we ended up at a fortress on top of the hill instead of the Dead Sea. It's beautiful, though.
We found the dead sea. I love that.
They call this place the Dead Sea. Maybe because it's really salty. I'm hoping I can just float without any effort. I just have to get in first. It's really cold.
I don't think your legs are supposed to sink in the Dead Sea.

There's the keg. We saw it. I'm getting out of here. I'm a little disappointed in the Dead Sea didn't float quite as easily as I had hoped. So we're going to the beach.

So turns out there's not really a beach on this island either. So we've just been climbing over all the rocks and exploring the coastline, and. Super cool.
A lot less people here than there are in Dubrovnik, which is nice.
We're leaving this beautiful place, calling it.
A Day at Locrum, heading back to the mainland, maybe climbing a mountain.
Today is the day after the vlog that you're watching, right now. And we just realized that we never finished the vlog yesterday. We were like, oh, we might climb that mountain.
And then we didn't. We didn't climb that mountain. We got back, everybody was tired from being in the sun all day. The general consensus for the group was that no mountain climbing would be happening.
So I ate ramen noodles and watched a show about fat people on tlc.
It's called something like My Big Fat Life or something.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life.
So that wasn't a knock on fat people. That's just what it's called.
