This is a vlog-style YouTube video by Nate and Kara Buchanan documenting a one-night stay arranged by the Mauritius tourism board at the Outrigger resort in Mauritius. The transcript covers arrival and room impressions, a guided tour of the resort (including the beach, pool/restaurant Mercado, sauna/steam facilities and boathouse), afternoon spa time, and an elaborate 10-course lobster dinner in a private dining room. They mention practical details (checked out of an Airbnb in Blue Bay; tour finished at 3pm; lobster dinner scheduled for 8pm), activities that were canceled due to wind (sailing and windsurfing), and a lobster factoid (lobsters can grow two to three times their size and may live up to 100 years).

Is that the welcome shell?
Very nice.
Thank you. Welcome.
Please enjoy our juice. Tamarind juice. Thank you very much. Cheers.
So this morning we checked out of our lovely Airbnb in Blue Bay, and the tourism board of Mauritius set us up to stay the night at the Outrigger.
Needless to say, we're super exc.
This room is so nice.
I love a big bed.
Let's check out the view.
Not a bad view.
What is this? Yay. I think we can eat these chocolates now.
Yeah, you can eat them now.
That's why it's the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. Mmm.
It's so rich. Come with a bathroom?
You look like an angel.
Now we're going to meet Sandra who works in PR here at the resort and she's going to give us a tour of the whole place.
This is Sandra, who works in PR and she's gonna give us a tour. Yeah, exactly. Let's go.
Right out here is the main beach and that's not a swimming pool. We're not allowed to go swimming there.
That was the complimentary sauna and steam room. Hopefully we can make some time to come back here.
This is basically a pool on top of a castle. This is the main restaurant called Mercado.
Pam, nate.
Sam.
Thank you most welcome. I'm so excited. Enjoy it.
We just finished the tour. It is currently 3pm we have a lobster dinner scheduled for 8pm so we're.
Gonna go out and make the most of our next five hours.
After we change, they have a bunch of free activities at the boathouse. We're gonna go see which ones we can do this afternoon.
They told us it was too windy to go sailing or windsurfing, which was the two things I, like, really wanted to do. So we're gonna get some sun and hope the wind calms down.
I'm fine with this.
We are going to the spa.
They told us that we had to change into our robes to come and I feel like, really ridiculous walking across the resort. Not robe.
I love it.
Going in the sun.
I think we make it full 15 minutes.
Whoa. That was miserably hot. Time for the plunge pool.
We are all cleaned up from the spa and we are heading to our lobster dinner.
Yay. Finally.
Good evening.
No way.
We have our room with fire petals. Thank you. I don't even know where to start. We got our own room with this huge fancy table and we are about to have a 10 course lobster meal. I am so happy right now.
They brought in the rest of our starters, the lobster sushi, the lobster salad, the lobster gazpacho with avocado. And don't worry. I'm not gonna try every single horse on camera tonight.
Which one was first?
That one. And then this one. This one. This one. This one.
Perfect. This lobster has coffee on it. So I'm pretty excited about having one of my favorite things incorporated in my dinner.
Maybe one of the best bites of.
Lobster I've ever had. Up next, we have the lobster wonkots.
Sounds nice and crunchy.
Of Ms. Wantons.
We're to the main course, the lobster risotto. And all of these veggies that are on top of this one and that were on top of all of the other main courses are from the garden. That's right there. Alpine ate lobster courses down, and now it's time for dessert.
I'm glad they decided not to put lobster in that dessert.
That was the best day course meal I've ever had. It so much fun. But now I think I'm gonna go back to our room and slip into a lobster coma.
We learned that these guys will grow two to three times their size right now and will live to be a hundred years old. And we learned that they like getting their back scratch.
What is. What is happening?
Don't step on the coral. This is a public service announcement from Kara and Nate in conjunction with the Outrigger Resort.
Continue.
I love that.
Third one.
No.
You want to split it? No. You can have it. Really?
Mm.
Kara. Thought this was the fashion Runway.
Kara.
What?
Nothing.
Ten.
Your shoulders aren't underwater. I can't count yet.
