Today is day two at the World Nomad Games and if you missed our last video, we are currently in Kyrgyzstan spending a week covering the World Nomad Games as press media official.
Today is the first real day of the games and we've driven about two hours straight into the mountains to this little village with all these traditional nomadic homes called yurts. And all the locals are outside, like cooking in their little pots and there's little kids running around and people are sor.
Fighting. This place is absolutely incredible. So this is where the majority of the cultural events happen. And then like the games and the competitions happen inside the stadium where we were last night.
They all came from the south.
Thank you so much.
Sausages. Yeah, sausages and green cucumber. Cucumber. We are guest. Yeah. Thank you again. Thank you so much.
We'd only been walking around the yurts for about five minutes when we walked by this place. Pot of boiling soup that was like this big. And I thought, that looks really gross. And then two seconds later, this really sweet person said, would you like to have a seat and be our guest? And of course we said yes. And we sit down and she said, would you like some soup? And I was like, sure. And we sit down and sure enough, the bowl went into the gross looking broth. Turns out it was lamb stew. It was amazing.
So savory. It was just like a clear broth. But it had so much flavor and it was so filling.
They said that they had five bowls and it is supposed to warm you up and keep you full until tomorrow. So we're nice and full.
Made it through too. They were so nice.
So sweet. This is awesome.
Such a fun start to the day. Okay, so there's like an official, like, opening ceremony of the ethno village that's about to start now. So we're gonna.
Hello.
One year.
That man was so cute. And the baby was even cuter. This is the fattest camel I've ever seen.
I'm actually really sad that something official is starting because I don't want to leave this. Like, I don't want to leave the village. I need to wander around for at least four more hours. Here's a guy walking on a rope. Whoa. You think he's gonna go all the way to the top?
He made it.
That was incredible. I was so scared. We were about to witness someone's death. No safety ropes, no nothing. Just one huge pole that would impel you if you Fell with it.
Sam.
Always be.
The horses here in Kyrgyzstan are so impressive. I could watch them all day. My favorite part by far was, like, the fake battle that they did because it just gave you a little bit of a sense of what it would have been like to do war on horseback. With all the dust flying up, there's no way you'd be able to tell who was who.
There was a guy on fire.
It was so crazy. One of my other favorite things is this courting ritual that they have here in Kyrgyzstan where the guys chase the girls on horseback and they try to grab them and give them a kiss on the cheek.
And the women are like, yah, yah. They're so awesome. We talked to one of our friends who talked to one of the horse riders and said that they're actually couples. A lot of the men and women who are doing races together and they travel around and horse race together. So I think it's so cool. I just love it here.
We have about an hour and a half until we have to head back to the hotel. So we're gonna head back into the yurch, back into the cultural village, and.
Hopefully make more friends.
Just see what we can find.
Thank you.
You got that bed bunch.
Sweet for you.
I love you.

Aktash Bhakt. Hello, my name is Kara Kaya.
Very good, very good. Nate. Nate.
Very nice to meet you.
Sam.
Thank you.
For me.
You're so generous. Look at all this.
You have to keep it.
It's too much. Did I have a hug?
Oh, thank you.
Oh, you're the sweetest.
Manicure. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye.
I can't believe that just happened. I was playing with a little girl, and then she gave me all of her candy and snacks. She's only two.
It's already time to leave this village, and I'm so sad. I could walk around these little yurts and hope that people invite us in all night long.
I cannot believe how hospitable the people have been. They just like. I have not stopped smiling since we started walking through this yurt village. Thankfully, there's some events being held here later in the week, so we will definitely be back.
Thank you for. The candy's for you.
You ate my candy.
Let me take your picture.
No, no, no, no.
3, 4, 5.
Are you dancing? You do a dance.
Nate is going to fly the drone and try not to let it get eaten by a falcon.
And I'm gonna go exploration.
