This is a first-person YouTube travel vlog by Nate Buchanan documenting a prolonged transit from Nairobi (Kenya) to Cape Town (South Africa). The narrator describes turning a direct five-hour flight into a ~36-hour journey, overnighting in airports, using lounges, boarding a Joburg–Cape Town flight (noted at 2:42pm), picking up a $10/day rental car on arrival, and checking into a newly renovated Airbnb where they are the first guests. The tone is casual, observational, and lightly humorous about travel hassles.

I can't believe we got away with sleeping on those comfy benches. It's about 7:45 in the morning. Kara's been up for about 45 minutes. Been up for about two hours.
And we are heading to our gate. So far, I'm feeling like we made a good decision. It wasn't that bad. Save some money, get some sleep on the plane. I don't know how it's taken us so long to get from Kenya to South Africa, but It's taking like two full days. We turn what would be a direct five hour flight into a 36 hour transit experience.
Finally.
Not so many. We have the whole road to ourselves.
This plane is like half empty. Just like half full. Nate, be positive. No.
The less people, the better, Sam.
We have two hours until our flight from Joburg to Cape Town. And we're gonna go find a lounge.
This is called a sweet spring roll. I think there's chocolate in there. This lounge definitely has the best presentation of food we've had.
We just spent two hours in what was a surprisingly nice British Airways lounge, and now we're about to board our flight for Cape Town. Yay. We are finally boarding our flight. We left Keith and Aaron's cozy home yesterday morning at like 9am and it is now the next day.
At 2:42pm and we are going to Cape Town. Finally.
36 hours later, we have made it to Cape Town. Finally. Just grabbed our bags on our way to get our rental car that we got from $10 a day. If we're lucky, we'll be able to pick it up while it's still daylight and be able to drive in the city while we can see on the left side of the road. Had quite a bit of experience with that this year, but always takes me a minute to get used to it.
Are y' all to a good start? I got the right side of the car.
This is our Airbnb for the week. It is so cute. The lady just showed us around and told us that we were the first people to stay in their Airbnb. They just like redid this whole, whole building and it is so cute. I'm so excited. You want to check this? Yeah. Here's our bed.
Oh. So the people who own it have a textile business downstairs. So, like they're there during the day and so they're probably made all things.
