This is a travel-vlog transcript of Nate and Kara Buchanan documenting their trip from Nashville to Nairobi (video titled "Nashville to Nairobi, Kenya!"). The chunk records airport scenes: clearing security, using elite status to access lounges (including a British Airways first-class lounge), layovers in New York and London, and flying on an Airbus A380. On arrival in Nairobi they obtain visas, meet a driver named Patrick who transfers them to a hotel, and plan to travel to Kisumu the following morning for a multi-week stay. The tone is informal and observational, with logistics and timing mentioned (e.g., morning pickup at 7:30).

Good to see you. You.
Where y' all gonna live when you get back?
Good thing we have status.
Oh, only £5 over.
Sweet.
That's not good. No, it's not.
Three weeks at home went by so super fast. We just cleared security. We are already back on the road.
We're really excited to be on the road again, but sad to be leaving home.
Got one hour toll point board.
New York.
Concrete jungle where dreams are made. There's nothing to do.
First we got plane. Hello, how are you?
12 babies.
It's so hot.
We are in the next room now.
Sam.
Just landed in New York and I just found out that there's a British Airways first class lounge here which we have access to. So that's where we'll be spending the next five or six hours.
Our plan was to go lounge hopping. There's like seven lounges here that we can get in and then we follow the first bus lounge.
We'll be spending all our time there time.
Not complaining at all because we didn't even know there was a first class lounge. So we're really excited. But it's very small. It starts right here.
And it ends right there. But they have fancy crackers and cheese which is fun. We've been hanging out in here a little while and now we are sweaty.
Never thought I'd say this but we are leaving a first class lounge early because it's hot to go to another.
Lounge across the hallway.
Well, I guess it's time to leave the lounge. That's us.
We kind of forgot we were on eastern time and thought we had an extra hour in the lounge. So like always we're running to our games.
This is going to be our first time flying on a double decker, a 380 and unfortunately we're sitting in the.
Bottom.
Not business class.
And needless to say, it's a non smoking fl.
Welcome to London's Heathrow Terminal 5. The local time here is just quarter past eight in the morning. Please remain seated with your seat belt fastened until the fastened seat belt signs have been switched off.
We just landed in London. It was like a six hour flight. We slept for maybe two hours. Our bodies think that we are still sleeping because it's 2.30am it's really 8.30am.
We've got like 45 minutes go try to find a lounge where I can drink like a gallon of water and we're gonna get on our plane for Nairobi.
How long does that take? I don't know.
I haven't known how long any of these flights are. Maybe six or seven hours. Well, so much going to the lounge. They took everything out of our bag as security. Our flight is already boarding and we have 20 minutes to our gate. So we're running kinda. Hey, how are you?
I'm good, thank you.
Kara, last flight. How you feeling?
We are in Kenya and it's raining a little bit.
Just got our visas picked up. Our bags made it through security. Patrick, you want to Say hello to YouTube? I'm good.
Patrick picked us up. We already lost Kara, you want me to get your small bag.
Now?
Patrick's going to take us to our hotel.
Thank you.
I mean drive on the wrong side of the road here.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Do you know how much we paid?
No.
Somebody just told us to come here.
It's nice in here.
We're staying.
I'm really excited because I was around 100% sure we were sleeping in the airport tonight.
We had like kind of arranged transportation but it hadn't been confirmed. I figured there was like a 50, 50% chance we were getting picked up at the airport over here. We did. Stopped by the ATM on the way, got some money.
We're all set and in the morning Martin is picking us up at 7:30 and we're going to Kisumu, where we're gonna be for the next couple weeks.
Can't wait.
I have no idea where it is. I think it's like an eight hour drive.
Have we even talked about what we're doing the next two weeks? No. Should we save that for tomorrow?
We'll tell you tomorrow. Tomorrow.
We could like.
Do you want to be in this?
What are you doing here?
Can I close my bag please? Take all belongings with you. This transit ends here. Please leave to be cool.
This looks cool.
