What Was your temperature?
97.6. Woo hoo. So I gotta touch it.
Okay. No coffee for you tomorrow.
Yeah, to make yours.
Yeah.
He's back.
Woke up this morning without a fever. I think my three days of sitting in the apartment and not doing anything but sleeping helped. Not moving I by no means way better. I'm gonna try to get out for a little while today.
I'm so excited. I'm not the only one in charge of the vlog today. That's a lot of work, Nate. Now we're going to meet Dylan and Kirsten for lunch and then I don't know what we're doing.
Hey, good morning. You still have permission to treat me like the plague this morning. But I don't have a fever, so it's progress.
I wish.
You so you.
I wish I knew so you me.
An old pommel horse. Just because.
So I think we've come across one of Budapest's famous ruin bars. They basically take like a really old rundown building and put a bunch of really weird stuff in it and make it a bar. It's really crazy in here, so I feel like we have to come back at night and see it in action.
I went with the real cheeseburger and fries. No burger. It's literally fried. Wow, wow, wow wow. I make very poor health decisions when I'm hungry. This looks the best.
Brilliant.
And I love it.
Just finished lunch. Now we are heading to a coffee shop to sort out how we're gonna get to Munich in two days.
Really regretting my fried cheese and french fries.
Not nearly as hungry anymore. Now feel really.
Oh. Was it delicious?
It was really good.
I think Dylan might be just as into coffee, if not more than.
Pay.
A Tell us why we're here.
Well, we just got delivered some Thailand coffee. I was in Chiang Mai for an entire month and I heard that the coffee was incredible. So I got a single origin from a local farm. The farmer's name was Sitho and this is the first time I'm able to try this coffee. It shows the farmer's name, the village that it's from, the elevation, the process and the variety of the bean. And it has a descript.
In the. Thank you Dylan.
Wi fi at the coffee shop didn't work so we're heading back to our place to figure out how to get the gear.
If nothing else, your wheels look really cool. Yeah. Booking our travel to Munich turned into an all afternoon night affair. It is currently 7:15pm There were so many options. We actually booked our travel pretty Quickly. And then it took nap. And these two behind us took a little longer to figure theirs out.
Now we're sharing our skateboards with them.
Hopefully we're gonna get out tonight and do something productive to see Budapest.
Oh, you're getting the hang of it.
We made a decision. We are going to the number one restaurant on TripAdvisor. It might be a huge mistake. We saw it earlier today. There are lots of people in there. It's like stuffed baguettes and sou. I don't know.
Yes, you got the Angry Bird baguette. We'll see if it lives up to its number one. TripAdvisor spot.
Number one on TripAdvisor.
It's really good. It's like crispy to perfection.
I really like it. I would come back.
What is it?
So I will say I have to agree with Kara. The bread is like perfectly crisp and the middle is perfectly soft with whatever ingredients. I have Hungarian sausage and garlic sauce and red onions.
What kind of soup did you get?
I don't know. I asked him for the one with the most veggies because I can't taste anything. So the healthiest choice seemed like the best one. Haven't tried it yet. I'll let it cool down. Sounded good on my throat.
All right, we'll come back.
Now Dylan is taking us to some statue that's supposed to be the highest point in Budapest to get some good views of the city at night by the river. I think that's where he's taking us. A really nice view.
That's where we're going, to the statue.
I.
I wish.
I. I'm gonna guess.
We'Re about to go up.
387 stairs.
I'm gonna guess 596.
4, oh 5, 28, 29, 30, 31, 87, 88, 89, 90. 207, 208, 209, 210. It's very dark on this trail.
It's a little creepy.
I'm glad it's not just Kara and I. I feel safer in a group.
I think this hike up the mountain is probably really good from a head cold. This is one of those times where I've removed the camera from the tripod just in case I need to beat somebody with it.
I might as well nervous when he does that.
It is pitch dark out here.
I expected us to be like the only ones up here after walking up that super dark path. There's like tons of people. Lots of old people. No offense to the old people. Must be an easier path to get up here than what we just took.
Know about me.
Listen this or.
Know about me.
According to Kirsten's watch, we gained 36 floors. 432 steps. Which means Nate. His face won. Nate won.
The view is really pretty. And now I'm really cold.
There's a little chilly up here.
We're touching.
We shouldn't be doing that.
We haven't touched since Nate's had a fever.
We did.
We just had the coolest experience we've ever had inside of a bar. So we were like walking through this massive crowd of people and this guy came up to me and he was like, hey, I know you. And I'm like, sure you do. And he's like, we met in Malaysia. And I was like, maybe. And he's like, at this cooking class. I was like, no. And then ended up the guy with in the first cooking class we ever took in Chiang Mai. He's been following our vlogs ever since. Thank you, Alex. But what a crazy small world.
He's only here for two days. He lives in Romania. We live in Tennessee. We met him in Chiang Mai and somehow we were in Budapest at the same place on the same night and passed each other when there was like a million people.
So crazy.
It was like this two story building with all this random stuff.
Stuff. It was like the weirdest, craziest place.
Like there was like a bathtub that was cut in half to make chairs. And like there was a lamp that was a sink on the wall. One had a plant in it.
You name it. You think of the craziest thing that you can think of and it was in there. We probably should have called it a night a long time ago for my throat and head, but can't go to Budapest without going to ruin bar. At least that's what we're told. So we did it.
Time to go to bed.
Washing it down with a healthy coke. Since you feel so guilty about it.
I feel like I had so much grief that like this has helped me. Like, you know what I mean?
You can feel. You can feel the passion and the sweat.
You know that the farmer you taste Synthrop sweat.
Yeah, Synthrops sweat. It's part of the reading.
