This is the least fun part of camper vanning around New Zealand.
This is the top that closes everybody's poop into the hole.
Gross.
That was gross. Somebody come touch this camera and turn it off.
These are my poopans. We just checked out of our last campground. Unfortunately last night was our last night in the camper. We have to turn it in this afternoon. So we're just going to be driving back from wherever we are right now to Christchurch today. It's about a three and a half hour drive. Probably won't be that exciting. So we thought we would take this vlog to give you some tips on how to campervan around New Zealand.
Ceiling is open.
Oh, good thinking.
We're breaking the rules.
You still think what?
Okay, tip number one in the campervan, do not drive with the sunroof open.
Kara, start us off with a tip.
Okay, tip number one or tip number two since the sunroof is tip number one. Don't overpack because you only shower every few days. So there's no point in changing your clothes when you're still gonna be dirty.
This is all personal preference.
You only need two. Three fits max.
Maybe a little on the slim side.
Before you put gas in your rv, make sure you know if it's diesel or regular. Is it regular gas?
Regular petrol.
Regular petrol. Because we met a guy who wasted two days of his trip because he put the wrong one in his RV and he had to drive it like three hours to get it fixed and then three hours back and he was all by himself and he couldn't find his fridge.
RRB takes diesel. Diesel on this trip is costing us a dollar and seven cents. I promise these tips get better. When we stop, we're going to go through a whole.
I don't know, whole slew of them. A whole slew of them. It'll be much more productive.
There are a bunch of lookouts that you can stop and get out and look out. You need to do all of them.
Thanks for the lookout at the lookouts tip.
Here's a tip. The speed limit is 100 km per hour on like every single road.
But you can't go that fast.
So make sure you give yourself more time than what the GPS says. Sarabi Jordan.
After turning the camper van, do you have any other tips for the vlog?
I know that there is a tax charge based upon how far you drive. Cost us about $100. We drove pretty far. More importantly also, if you open the first aid gate, it'll cost you $35.
Jordan got an unexpected souvenir.
$35 for two band aids.
Expensive band aids.
Let's see. How's your face healing up because of those bandaids? Just got dropped off at our hotel for the night. We've accumulated quite the amount of bags.
Kara's now having to.
Carry two bags around so that I can manage this monstrous thing we have for Everest. I don't think my bag's gonna fit through the doorway.
We hadn't had enough of each other this week, so we booked a family room. And while this room seems small for four people in comparison to what we have had, it's massive.
We are headed to dinner in just a few seconds and then when we come back, we will give you those RV tips that we promised earlier.
Did you wink with it at least?
You know what else? Because we're with women who went to an SEC school in the southeast United States, we're going to eat Mexican Indians. Woo.
Give me that guac.
So you know how all day we've been promising these great tips on how to camper van through New Zealand. It's like.
10Pm, everybody's exhausted. The room is an absolute catastrophe. Karen and I have been trying to figure out what we need to take to hike Everest and what we need to send home with Jordan and Julian. Ultimately, after two hours, we ended up keeping everything. Jordan, the master planner of the trip, is in this mode right now.
Kara is occupied with something. Julianne's wearing airline pajamas.
We're falling apart here.
Basically what I'm trying to say is no tips for campervanning around New Zealand are happening tonight. So what I'll do is tomorrow after Jordan and Julianne leave, Kara and I will do all the tips by ourselves. They won't be as good, especially since Jordan was kind of the master planner of this whole thing. But I think we can still give you a lot of good tips.
So tomorrow evening, Kara, it's like 4:30 in the morning here in New Zealand. We are leaving you and headed back to Sydney and then to the US we love you guys. You're a bad whisperer. Sorry, that's very loud.
Sorry.
It's really early in the morning. We love you guys. We had such a great time. Thanks for all the memories and we can't wait to see you in just a month when you come home to see us again.
Have fun in Everest and don't hurt yourselves. Love you.
Bye.
This is what you call a New Zealand traffic jam right here. This makes me so happy.
Somebody hurting these suckers. There's a dog that just jumped out. Two dogs just jumped out of the car to go get them. What are you doing? Can I pet you?
That was the one thing that was missing from our trip was an animal traffic jam. I thought it'd be she, but I'll take counts.
Use your emergency brake.
The speed limit is like 100 km.
What in the world is that?
All right, tell the vlog how the decision making and packing went. Hold on a second. I'm trying to make a vlog over here. Tell. Tell us how the decision making and vlogging or in crap.
Nate, hold on. We're just going to cut that whole thing.
