Nate and Kara ride sea karts at 80kph across a Mauritius lagoon, spotting dolphins and hitting technical stalls before slowing down for street food. They chase noodles, veg rotis, and spicy Mauritian chili at their new hotel stop.

All along with me. And we're waiting for the sunlight.
Unfortunately, this morning we are checking out of ocean beauty. We were supposed to be here for two nights, but we had a last minute opportunity pop up in the south, which is where the rest of our activities are already scheduled. So today we're moving south.
I'm really excited about what we're doing today. We are driving boat skis.
It's like a mix between a jet ski and a motorboat. It should be a blast. Our taxi just pulled up, so we gotta go.
Sunlight.
Sunlight.
So we're about to get started right here, and then we have an hour ride out to the lagoon here and back.
We're number three. This is our spot. This is a big boat that we follow, and everyone else is like it. That way, nobody runs into each other. Everyone's happy.
Thank you very much. So since you got to drive the sub scooter yesterday, does that mean I get to drive the sea car today?
Yeah, you can drive.
This is the coolest boat ever.
It's like a jet ski with pontoons. We're gonna try to use the nice camera until it gets, like, ridiculously wet. And then we're gonna have to switch to this. So when it goes from this angle to wide angle, that's why.
Hey.
A little nervous. Oh, God.
Just kidding. We're still in the no wake zone. We've been giving the go ahead.
Here we go. Hold on.
O.
Having a little technical difficulties with the rest of the group. We're driving in circles, stalling until I get to let this baby loose.
Oh, goodness.
Kara's left me for another boat. A couple of the ladies here decided that it was a little too scary for them. So now we get our own boats. Kara.
Everybody's resituated. We're ready to go.
Here we go.
On top of these things being, like, the most fun thing ever to drive. These views are ridiculous.
How is it? Amazing.
So good.
All right. We're at the halfway point. We saw some dolphins heading back. Sorry if this video footage is, like, super shaky. I'm doing my best to drive with one handed, video with the other.
Come with me.
I think it's over.
That was so much fun. So much fun. We've been in separate sea carts the whole time, so we haven't had time to debrief. How was it?
I cannot believe how much fun that was. I was going so fast.
It was like a sea doo on steroids.
Yeah. I mean, it's like I was trying to flip it and I couldn't. I Was like, turning, like, pew, pew, pew. And then we'd hit a wave, and it'd just be like. Like, I can't believe how fast it was.
I'm sure the scenery was beautiful, but I did not take it in as much as I should have because I was just, like, having way too much fun on the boat.
So gorgeous. At the end, he started going like this, and we were all just going straight, like 100 miles an hour.
Not 100 miles an hour.
That's what it felt like. All my hair was like.
Also, we both, like, grew up on and near a lake back in our hometown, so we've ridden sea doos before, but that was like. It wasn't like a sea doo. That was way better. So if you've ridden a sea doo before and you think, I've done it. No, you haven't.
No, you haven't. I'm still like. I have so much adrenaline right now.
We just left, and now we're on our way to our new hotel in.
We hear good things about Flick and Flex. Probably gonna try to find some street food tonight.
Definitely.
Yeah.
I think it's our bedroom. Nice. What's in here?
Two bedrooms.
Not quite the view we've been used to.
We have a balcony.
It's now about 4:30. And all the excitement of going to ride the sea carts, we forgot to eat lunch. So we're both starving.
So we're going to find some street food.
So far, this is my favorite place in Mauritius because there's no wind yet. Yet.
Looking like our kind of place.
Hi, can I get veggie noodles?
Yeah. Thank you.
Oh.
They smell green.
Smell good. I got some noodles. My favorite dish from Asia.
There would be nothing without the Mauritian chili, but they're pretty good. This is the magic sauce right here.
This is some kind of chilies. We've discovered that we love it on everything.
It's true.
Up next, roadies, take it. Two veg roties. Yes.
Thank you very much.
All right. I may have gone a little overboard. I was hungry.
What's that?
Zombie clothes pins.
Needed some clothes pins. Yes. And they also gave us some drone footage of the secret.
The first time. The first time I ever read sea carts. For some reason, I read it. Sea Kratz.
He can be a little dyslexic sometimes.
That's what I've been called the whole time. That they're sea carts.
Yeah, it looks like just that.
They do exist. A real concrete dodo bird.
Were they that big?
Surely not. The dodo sculpture garden built to scale. Just kidding.
Our boat just turned off now. We're having technical difficulties.
Help us.
New place, new street food. Happy Maiden. Carrot.
Karen, Nick, Kara and me.
We should. At some point, we should share the story behind why it's carrot.
Not today.
