So we started.

It's our first full day in Cape Town. It's about noon right now. And we spent the whole morning in our awesome apartment. I still cannot believe how cute it is.

So nice to have a place to relax. Now we are going to grab lunch at what's supposed to be a famous restaurant here in Cape Town called Skinny Legs.

I would love a pair of those.

If we can find it. I thought it was supposed to be here.

There. It's not.

We found.

Is literally zucchini linguine. Like not noodles with a macadamia nut pesto. It's pretty delicious. And these are tomatoes.

Excellent.

And I went with the sunflower seed risotto.

Lunch was delicious. It was nice to have some something healthy after eating airplane food for two days. If you're ever in Cape Town, skinny weights comes highly recommend. Yes.

I like how skinny yet.

So now that we have full bellies, we're gonna go to the grocery store so we don't buy everything on the shel.

I think I might have accidentally had the camera on. Some kid tried to steal a lady's necklace or purse or something right in front of us. We've never seen that before.

No. I think we should put the camera away for a minute.

Walking home with our groceries. Tight grip on this thing.

We got 20 items at the grocery store for only 30 US dollars. I'm so excited.

So since the places that we're traveling to this second half of the year are going to cost quite a bit more than Southeast Asia did, we're going to try to spend more time at the grocery store and cooking our own food than going out to eat for every. But don't worry. We'll still explore exciting foods.

I'm really going to miss going out to eat every single meal every single day. But Nate says we have to make the change.

And now we're going to hike to the top of that mountain lion.

We had to drive to this view. We don't even have to hike now. We're going up there.

So we kind of forgot to mention that this is our second time to Cape Town. Last time we were here, it was last March, I think about a year ago. We came with some friends because there was a mistake fair. And one morning, Nate and I drove up here to watch the sunrise. Right here. It came up over the mountain right there.

It was beautiful. Maybe we'll do it again.

Maybe. But we didn't get to do this hike because it was way too early to hike this for me. Nate probably would have done it. So we're doing it now.

Also, last year when we were here, we hadn't started vlogging. We didn't know much about video. Had a GoPro. I recorded our entire trip with a GoPro and then put it together to a pretty bad video. But we'll link it in the description below so you can enjoy how bad it is.

It was cute.

This mountain right here is Table Mountain. Last time we were here, we took this crazy hike that some local told us about up the side of this mountain over the top. It took us, like, six hours.

It was really fun for the first, like, two hours. And then I thought we were going to be stranded till our death for about two hours. And then we figured out where we were going. I just was very miserable for the last, like, hour. Then the view is great. The worst part of it is you can take a cable car for about a minute and a half up to the top. And it took us six hours, but we took the cable car down, so that was good.

So we're gonna do it again. No. Yeah, you said yes.

I said I would take the cable car.

No, you said you'd hike it.

I'm not doing that hike again. I thought I was gonna die. I thought we were stranded forever.

I'm thinking we can talk Kara into going up the easy path that goes right up the front.

No.

It'S too soon.

Already getting toasty. That didn't take long.

The sun and lack of wind on this side of the mountain has really warmed us up.

Still have quite a ways to go.

That sunset was epic. I don't really think we can do anything else today to top that. So I think we should end the vlog right now.
