Chapters
I want one as a pet.
I do, too.
It's early. Like, the sun is technically not up yet. Early. But we're going to do something that Kara has wanted to do, I don't know, her whole life.
Yes.
Since I've known her.
We are going to swim with dolphins.
Just to show you how much and how long she's wanted to do this. When we were planning our trip around the world, I was like, what is, like, the one thing you want to make sure that we do next year? And she didn't say, like, go on the gondolas in Venice. She didn't say, stay in an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora or the Maldives. She said, swim with dolphins.
And today we're doing it with real live ones in the wild.
We're on the boat.
We just saw two. We saw two.
Can film here. Yeah. And now you find another place. Okay.
We think we found the dolphins. We're gonna get changed and switch to the GoPro.
We're in position for next time we see the dolphins.
Playing with wild dolphins is proving to be a little tricky. There's a pot of dolphins, and they'll pop up every once in a while. You see them swimming in a certain direction, and then you're trying to get in between them and where they're going so you can jump in and swim with them. Hasn't happened yet.
You were here again with that killer.
Smile.
Locked up in your head, tied up on your toes.
Where'd they go? We spotted them way down deep for about two seconds. Hopefully we caught him on the camera. Head back to the boat to keep. Try again.
We see.
Yeah, they're very deep.
Right out.
We just saw so many dolphins swimming right under us. There was, like, a hundred. There's a one, like, spinning around. This is so fun.
Going in for one more round. The last one was awesome. They came so close, and there were so many of them.
They swam down with them, but I think I missed it with the camera. And we're really bad about it. We're going to try to do it again.
Dolphins on our last run. Still a great day. Heading back.
We're back at the boat dock. What surprised me most about that excursion is how many dolphins there were. There were so many in there. So beautiful. I think I can just go home now. It was my dream come true.
I had this, like, one magical moment. The third time we got in the water, the dolphins came up and they were probably within, like, 30ft of us. And then I dove down and probably got within, like, 10ft of them. And there were dolphins swimming underneath me. And the one right underneath me decided he'd do a roll. And the water was just like the bluest water I've ever been in. It was awesome.
They were so majestic.
But they did tell us so, like we were way out in the middle of the ocean swimming with the dolphins. They told us that a lot of times they're in the lagoon and it's a lot easier to swim with them. So that's why we were like jumping in the boat, jumping in the water, jumping in the boat, jumping in the water. Trying to get ourselves in the right place to swim alongside them.
I'm glad we found them.
It was a blast. Onto the next adventure. We have a lot more planned today.
Today is action packed.
We're at Katella.
The world of adventures. The world of adventures.
Hi. Hey. I'm n.
Wow. Gosh.
So they're very friendly birds.
Yes.
No need to get scared of them. There you go again.
Thank you. It's kind of like a jewel.
They really love this.
So they're coming.
Yes. We like chocolate.
We just love this car. You made a friend.
Come to me. I have food too.
They're like.
I have three, four.
They're called lori kids and they are from Australia.
The birds really like you.
I still have food and somehow I only have. I have no birds. Oh, one bird and you have all of them.
They love me. They keep licking me.
They're probably eating the salt off of you from the dolphins.
I'm very salty.
Thank you.
Whoa.
Check out that ramp. So we've been here for about 15 minutes. So far we have fed some birds and now I'm about to get in an inner tube and go off a ramp. This place is like a mix between a zoo and a theme park. I think it should be referred to as the Disneyland of Mauritius. Here goes nothing.
See you at the bottom.
Are you okay?
How was it?
So much fun. I think I could have pulled a backflip with a little more effort.
You almost did. Were you trying to?
No, I didn't mean to. They're making an exception to the rule for me. They're letting me go one more time and take the GoPro.
Billy.
I'm going backwards.
That was awesome.
Cock a doodle do.
Look at these baby hippos.
Look at this.
Really? They're full grown.
Pygmy hippos. Did not know such a thing existed.
I love them.
Now we're going to feed some giraffes and then we're going to Feed ourselves.
Looking forward to both of them. I love giraffes. Giraffes are like definitely my favorite animal. They just seem like they shouldn't be real. They're long necks like a dinosaur.
Hey, we both got to be with our favorite animals today.
Great day. We started here at the Discovery Center. At some point in here, I went off a ramp on an inner tube. Then we went to the petting farm where we saw the turtles. Then here, where we saw lions, tigers, but no bears. Now we're at some parking.
There you go.
How was it?
Hello. Thanks for the kiss.
That's it. Our friendship lasts just as long as the food that I have in my hand.
And he's done with you.
What was that?
You get sneezed?
Yeah. You sneezed on me.
This is the last of it, buddy.
Oh, there's even a thing.
Old giraffe slobber. I'm gonna feed the Cara.
It's a good looking hot dog. Cara went with the local Mauritian hot dog. Way to branch out.
It's chicken, sausage. And look how pretty it is.
It's really good.
We have to eat F because we have another adventure at one o'.
Clock.
Going to the cafeteria.
I choose this one.
Lake and Cara drive again. Might not be a good idea. Kara, you going to pass the driving test?
I don't know.
Just move forward.
Okay, I'm moving forward.
Oh, gosh. Just kidding.
Don't do that. Watch out. Everybody.
Hold on.
See if you can pass the test.
Left. Nice.
Did I pass?
Did we pass? We passed. Way to go.
Here we go. Straight through the mud.
We were told that this is not a sport and we are not to go fast. And this is the way for us to see nature. So hopefully we see some cool animals.
Kara drove it too hard.
What'd you do?
You're too heavy back there.
Yeah.
I'm petting a zebra.
Wow.
Hey, buddy. He likes it. He does.
You did it. You didn't crash the quad bike.
Thank you.
Well, that wraps up our day at Casella.
And that wraps up today's vlog.
Okay, you gotta quit screaming.
No, they like your hair. It reminds them of their nest. He's. He's currently eating your hair. There they are. Hey, where's the food? Where's the food? Hey.
Hey. Where's the food?
You went from cafeteria lady to you still. It's hanging out. You still look like a cafeteria lady.
Super intense cat.
Ow.
