Nate and Kara spend a day in Cape Town eating cheap Middle Eastern food, wandering the colorful Bo-Kaap, and taking a freezing sunset cruise around Table Bay. They got lost hiking Table Mountain and loved the cobblestone streets.

Our big plan for today is to go on a sunset cruise around Table Bay.
But first, we are going to a new restaurant that we've heard really good things about. And then walking around one of the prettiest streets in Canada, Cape Town.
So it took us a while to get this place figured out. It's basically a massive food court with Middle Eastern and Indian food, but they're all operated by one cash register behind us. So you go get your tickets and then go get your food at the appropriate food stand. Ready? Break. You gotta say something. Okay. Say, like, what? Whatever you want. It'll go on YouTube. Yeah, I'm here. All right. Make it falafel and hummus. Yeah, perfect. I'm making.
Alissa. Making your food. This is delicious food, my bro. Believe it.
There a generous serving.
Oh, it looks delicious. Thank you very much. You'll be on YouTube.
This is like the most ridiculous amount of food we've ever ordered. This ridiculous amount of food cost less than seven doll.
I don't even know how you make money at this point. It all looks amazing. And we ordered way too much of it. This is the falafel and hummus plate, which came with a lot more. Not sure what that is. Garlic naan, regular naan, buttered chicken with rice, and some kind of salad. Two cooks. It's really loud. We will resume the conversation after we leave the restaurant.
What's up, you guys? Not bad, guys. Since 4am in the road. Java until you need a to get something to eat. Sorry, my friend.
Sorry. You want food? Thank you, man. You want it? Kara, can he have our food? He says he's hungry. Thanks a million. I really appreciate it, guys. Thanks. No problem. Hope you enjoy it. Have a good one.
We had leftovers. That guy seemed to need it more than us, though. We definitely don't need any more food anytime soon. No, it was absolutely delicious.
Oh, our napkins.
Dang it.
Don't have any napkins at our place. I keep forgetting to buy some.
And I put a bunch in the bag. So two things happened while we were splitting up to get our food. First, I ran into the owner of the store, told them they were disappointed they had no hummus. And then he hooked me up with hummus even though the lady at the register told me they didn't have any. And then the guy behind the counter making my food wanted to be on the camera. And when I told him it was going on YouTube, he had never heard of YouTube. He's the first person that I've ever met that's never heard of YouTube, but he wanted to be on the camera anyway.
Now we're in this really cute neighborhood called Beaucock. And it's really old, and all the streets are cobblestone and all the houses are different colors according to the Internet. Before they painted their houses, they would ask their neighbor what color so that none of them would clash. So we're going to walk around and take pictures.
Working off all that naan I ate for lunch.
Feels good. So yesterday, in our failed attempt to hike Table Mountain, I started us on the wrong trailhead that I think was, like, somewhere over here. And we hiked all the way up here to the base of the rocks and then basically hiked all the way across right here when we should have just started on this trail right here and gone to the top. So instead of starting here and going to the top, we started here, went here, and back to here, and then we went to the beach.
No regret.
We are back at the VA waterfront. We've got to find our cruise in nine minutes before it leaves us. Kind of feel like we're in the airport.
Sea cells. Perfect. We're being told it's over there. Is that it? I think that's it. Found it.
1, 2, 3.
That trampoline hold you. Me too. Sara.
There it goes. Sorry if the sunset's making anybody seasick.
All right, we're about to sail back. Freezing. I'll put the camera up so I can wrap up on one of these blankets like here. I'm going to hope that my Indian food doesn't go the side of the boat before we get back.
Sorry if all of the camera shots like this.
It's just real life.
We haven't stopped.
It was just.
Okay.
Just like.
We're almost back. It is absolutely freezing now.
Still a fantastic cruise.
I got 1, wave, 2. That's it. I've been on a catamaran slash sailboat three times now, and I have still never settled.
Spit on yourself a little bit.
We wipe it off.
No.
It was just okay.
Kara, are you enjoying the views?
No, I'm ready to be back.
