A little rainy for our canyoning adventure today.
This will never get old.
We are currently waiting in the hotel lobby for our cab to pick us up. This morning we're going an hour south to go canyoning with Odalaer, which I'm sure I'm butchering because it's French. So we'll like put some text right here.
Our driver is here.
How are you?
Hello.
How are you?
Hey, I'm Nate. Nice to meet you. And how do you pronounce the name of your company? Because I'm sure I've butchered it.
That's pretty close. So we're going to be repelling down those waterfalls. Sounds like fun.
Tight and warm is better than loose and cold.
And we're off.
I think we're going down there. Starting off with an intense reveal down at massive waterfall.
So let's talk about what we are doing today. So canyoning. What is canyoning? Is following a river from top to bottom. So you put it opening always. You can see it. One and two, One and one. And you can just walk like that or hold to here or hold always above the cabinet. If you hold under and you fall down, you can hurt yourself.
See if you pass the test.
One and one. One and two.
Good. Okay. Just move to me.
Thank you.
Yeah, you can move.
You pass.
Go in here. Open head and go behind Smoke. Go ahead and go in here. So I'll be sitting in my harness and going down like this.
Cara, you're responsible for his life.
For our life. We are responsible for our life.
It's a team effort.
We just had an orientation and learned how to rappel and do the ropes and everything.
Now we're about to go over this thing.
Don't worry, I got your back. If she falls, all I gotta do is pull on the rope. You trust me, right?
Uh huh. Crossing over.
I see why he gave us these wetsuits.
Nate's gonna check out what we're about to do.
That's where we be going.
How's it look?
You can take your time.
I'll be. Thank you.
And then I'll call you.
Yeah. Okay.
This is crazy.
This is nuts.
We are about to rappel down that waterfall.
He's leaving us.
Where are you going?
Turn around. Now. Turn around and use the rope.
Heading down. Can't take this camera. It'll get too wet. Switching to the GoPro. All right, here we go. Had to figure out how to do this with one hand so I can hold the GoPro. So I brought a head strap.
We're doing It.
Oh, got it.
Down that?
Straight down?
Yeah. All the way down.
All the way down. 25 meters.
Oh, my goodness.
You can do it.
I can go back.
Good luck.
Yeah. I see you guys.
Do I look okay?
Yes, you do.
You look scared.
I'm scared. I'm really scared.
Okay, good.
On the way down.
Now.
We can't see her anymore. I guess she made it safely.
All right. Made it to the bottom.
Yep.
My turn.
Okay, let's.
Let go.
I can't vlog when you're falling.
Ah.
You'Re crazy.
How are you?
Good.
Yeah.
I feel like they're grilled.
One waterfall down, four to go.
There it is.
You believe we just came down that?
Yes, I do.
Even though we're canyoning, Kara's found a way to get a little spa time in.
A fish foot bath.
Okay. Am I landing in the water?
Yeah.
Okay.
And then you can swim to the rock and go on the rock there. Okay, good.
All right. Rapel number two.
Yeah.
We're about to jump in.
Made it.
If you want, you can try it. You just without. You can in your mouth.
What's it. What's it called?
Watercress.
Watercress.
We're having a salad appetizer in French.
It's croissant.
We're eating plants out of the river because Oliver told us to.
I like it.
That's pretty good.
We're up here all alone now. We're on the third falls. He's left us here. He trusts us to hook ourselves in and repel down.
You can do it.
Listen here.
Open it up here.
Nice.
Then what?
There you go.
There you go.
Good luck.
Thank you.
Almost had everything, right.
All right. Here comes Nate. I hope he ties his robe on correctly.
Bye. Bye.
Excellent.
It's nate's turn.
Getting swept over the falls.
Probably should have taken the bag off the porch. Unfortunately, almost got drug over the biggest waterfall.
They're going to jump off the waterfall.
It's time for a picnic.
Oliver's wife made whatever these delicious things are. They're like cookies covered in sugar with jam in the middle. Like the greatest day I've ever had.
Our picnic was delicious. And now we're gonna go look at the highest waterfall. We were gonna rappel down it, but the water's too high. We don't get to. But I appreciate Oliver keeping us. Even though I would love to reveal down it so I can go look at it.
It's so tall.
That's where Russell boots go.
We have completed the repels. Now for the fun part. Had to hike back up.
All right, this is where we're saying goodbye to Oliver.
Yep.
Are there any last words you would like to say to you two before we depart? Yeah.
If you want to come to Mauritius and have a sporty, active nature, come with us.
Highly recommended these guys, and they'll be linked below, and their logo will also be at the end of the video.
Cheers. Did you enjoy it?
Amazing.
Okay, good.
Thank you so much.
Ciao.
I'm wondering what I'm supposed to do if I have.
Don't be in your wetsuit. Otherwise you'll carry it around the rest of the day.
It's gonna be a long day. Nate's enjoying the outdoor shower. One more night.
Just reminds me of hot, though in hot water outside, I guess.
