The BEST Way to See Stockholm Sweden - ROOFTOPPING!

This YouTube vlog (The BEST Way to See Stockholm Sweden - ROOFTOPPING!) follows travel creators Kara and Nate on their final day in Stockholm. They work with a videographer from Epidemic Sound—doing a filmed interview about going full-time on YouTube—then take a guided rooftop walk (about 48 meters high) across the old parliament building, learn local history, hop a ferry, meet local collaborators, eat lunch, and finish the night staying in a grounded airplane hotel. The video mixes behind-the-scenes documentary footage with sightseeing and light local culture/language moments.

Are you ready for your interview? No.
It is another absolutely beautiful day here in Stockholm. But sadly, today is already our last day. But we do have a lot of fun things planned.
Today is going to be different than any other vlog we've ever made. As you know, we're here with Epidemic Sound, and today there's going to be a videographer following us around.
They're, like, making a movie about us. It's kind of like behind the scenes of the creator taking the leap, going full time into YouTube. So it should be a lot of fun.
We're about to go meet the team now. We're starting with lunch, and then we're doing an interview.
Wrong way.
Hi.
So apparently, we have rented out half of the floor of the hotel just for our interview. Sweet. One microphone, two microphones, backup microphone one. Two lights. Camera number one important camera number two model. Are we using that? This one? No, not this time. That will be too many cameras. All right, we're mic'd up. Are you nervous?
I've never been mic'd up before. I am a little nervous now.
I. I'm nervous. We just, like, we never talk to cameras where we don't have full editing control over the final product. I feel like I'm gonna say something dumb.
Well, you gotta have her back there.
I'm trying to not make you look too stupid. Thank you. Thank you. I'm gonna sit with good posture. Okay, that is rolling. I kinda feel like I'm on 60 Minutes. So now we're rolling on both microphones.
Are you excited?
Yeah. Me too. And before you start, one clap, please.
That wasn't a very good one.
Make a loud one. Okay, ready? Here we go. Okay. So.
Who are you? Will you introduce yourself to me? That is a deep question.
Let me think about that one.
So we're Kara and Nate. We have a travel YouTube channel. We've been traveling full time for the past two and a half years, and our goal is to go to 100 countries before I turn. That's a wrap. We did it. I think it went pretty well.
I do, too. I'm not even, like, sweating or anything.
You never know about these things. How would you be sweating?
Because when you get nervous, you like sweat.
Really, really epic.
You're a really good question.
Oh, that's right. What are we doing? We're gonna climb on rooftops. Seriously? Yeah.
All right, onto the fun stuff.
Going to the.
Thank you. Seven. Yeah. Seven. Okay.
This might be a good time to introduce Warren to the walls.
I'm so tired right now. So Happy to get out.
Hello.
It's really warm.
It is so warm. We don't know what kind of building we're in right now, but we are up in an attic, and it is so hot. Yeah.
Yes. Have we said what we're doing?
Yeah, I think so.
Putting on our safety harness because we're gonna be 48 meters up. This is the heftiest harness I've ever worn.
I don't think our harness for bungee jumping was this intense.
Yeah. Great.
If you want some fresh air, you're free to step up on the first platform and wait for the rest of the group.
Okay, I'm gonna do that. We're about to see the old city in a whole new way. We're going on a rooftop walk.
I can almost vlog and talk to the camera. The camera has to be securely attached around my neck for this walk, so it means our face is really close.
This is awesome. Is there a better way to see Stockholm?
I don't understand. Apparently, this is a government building, and government buildings have to be available to the public. This is like the most available, I think, a building has ever been.
It's the old parliament building that we have here. You have to know, in Sweden, we had a two chamber parliament that was inaugurated in 1866, but only five years later, they wanted to move away because what they did here, they built these train tracks that you can see here. Those days, they want any slide commuter trains here.
What is it? Is it haunted?
Wow, this is cool.
We're in a haunted little.
What is this?
I don't know.
Hot and haunted.
Behind the scenes. Behind the scenes.
And this is where we jump.
Yeah, we're gonna jump on 3, 2. This is a little scary.
Yeah, this is the part with. With no. No railing.
Why do I hold on to. My toes are tingling.
So in addition to a beautiful view, you also get a history lesson of the city. We've learned more about Stockholm here in the last 20 minutes than we have the entire four days that we've been here.
Really getting the hang of this.
Yeah, I really am.
It's a lot of fun. Look at my hands.
No, I'm dying.
I'm gonna start crying.
Don't cry.
I would absolutely recommend it. That was an amazing experience.
Nailed it. That would be a lot scarier to do in the snow. Door can stall. More glass.
Oh, is this a fire accident?
Yeah, just.
So that's the building that we were just walking on top of everything. So the city of Stockholm is actually made up of 14 different islands and we're about to hop on a ferry and head to another one, I think, to get some food.
I have two questions for a local.
Okay.
Does eating ice cream in the afternoon count as fika? No, it doesn't. What if I would have gotten a coffee to go with my ice cream? No. No, it doesn't. Have you learned some Swedish?
No, not a word.
Yeah. Hi. Hi. Isn't that. Hello. Hey. Hey.
Going on theory.
Tidjigarden. We're in tidjigarden.
We're going to Jurgur.
Jorgarden.
Say.
I want me to say it slowly.
It means animal garden. Garden. So it's like garden yurgarden. Animal garden.
Wait, doesn't it start with a D?
Yeah, it does. Yur. But it's how you pronounce it. It's like.
We're here. True commitment to upload on the go.
In a parking lot.
So there's one other person that I need to introduce you to. This is Flo. Hello. Behind the video, he is the one carrying around all of the heavy equipment so that we look good today. So I'm the one shattering you for the entire day, standing somewhere awkwardly, creepily in the background, pointing a camera at you. I'm just excited to see how this turns out. Oh, yeah, yeah, definitely.
And he has a YouTube channel, a small one.
It's growing, though.
And he's amazing.
He's made the leap. He's committed to YouTube death full time. That's what this whole series is about, is making the leap and going full time on YouTube. That's like the perfect summary in one sentence. This might be the first time I've ever walked into a restaurant with a red carpet.
I love this play, Josefina. It sounds so Swedish. My hairdresser was Swedish and her name was Josephine.
I think this will do.
Okay, guys.
So cool.
Thank you.
Yeah, exactly.
I'm pretty excited about my burger. Ooh, that looks.
Words out of here. Before he leaves, if people want to go watch one video on your channel, what should it be? This lofoten video that I did with Yun Olson. It was amazing and I wish I was there right now. Nope. I like being here with you guys. All right, man. Thank you. See ya. Peace.
How much do you charge?
You just have to give me five stars.
We've had the best last day in Stockholm with the Epidemic sound team. I'm so sad that we're leaving. We just came and got our stuff from our hotel because we are actually switching hotels for our last night. And you'll see why in A minute. Look how cool our Uber driver is today.
Hey.
No way. This is awesome. We are staying in an airplane tonight. Not one that's flying. One that is parked on the ground forever. Okay, before today's video is over, we need to introduce you to one more person. This is Silvio. What? Like you're our ambassador, manager, person, partner. Person.
Is the reason that we're in Sweden and the reason that we're staying at this hotel.
The reason you guys are here is because you guys are so cool. But this place is absolutely incredible. So I've like lived here for like over 15 years and I've never even been here once. It's. It's one thing to get to stay in a plane. It's another thing to get to stay in a plane. Right beside the Runway, all the little.
Engines, the huge engines are little rooms.
You can see they just like broken the plane up into a bunch of different style rooms.
I feel like we're boarding a plane. It's a plane, but it's the chicken bus.
I did the boat. Of course.
An overhead density.
I wonder if they put life vest under the seat.
I always just want to touch the exit door.
Look how close we are to the Runway.
Walking on the wing of a plane.
How is it?
Do I look like Curly Shirley?
Perfect. Hello. Hello.
Oh, my onion breath is so bad. Why did I eat that?
Sorry.
I just love this light. Will you take my picture in front of the light?
Do you love this part of the light?
I do. Is this like a toilet paper wrapper? We were about to see the old city in a whole new old.
Coast.
Are you from Nashville, Tennessee?
Nashville, Tennessee. Do you sing as well?
I do not. I do sing, but not well.
Shower man, jump on a cherry.
Coleman's actually made up of fort except the hole. So who wins these arguments?
Sometimes deep down I know he's right. But I just want to win.
