This is a first-person travel vlog by Nate Buchanan documenting his first day in Tokyo. The clip follows him leaving his Airbnb to get breakfast (sampling brown rice with ginger kelp, croissants, lemonade, and fried seaweed/shrimp), commenting on food smells and taste (some items described as tasting like chalk or smelling bad), and then navigating via GPS to a destination amid non-English signage. The video culminates with arrival at the busy Shibuya/"Times Square" area, participation in the famous crossing, and a stop for coffee at a crowded Starbucks.

Oh, we should press a button.
It tastes a lot fresher than I thought it would.
Okay, let's go get some more.
Oh, it does not smell good.
That doesn't smell good at all.
No. Tastes like chalk.
All right. Day one. Going out in Tokyo to get some breakfast. Breakfast time. This always happens.
Nate always leaves something in the room.
And then he has to hop on one leg to go get it.
Swear shoes in the house.
I think I want the brown rice with ginger kelp. Grab it.
And I want this one ended up with some rice things for Kara and something that hopefully is a chocolate croissant for me and a lemonade because this stuff last night was disgusting.
So far, we've been here for, like 16 hours and this is really our first time getting further away than 100 yards from our Airbnb.
According to the gps, we have reached our destination. Alums Dot. The only problem is none of these signs are in English. So we could be here.
Oh, sweet.
Sam.
K's eating seaweed and shrimp fried together. That was fantastic. But we definitely didn't need the largest. This is as much as we could eat.
False alarm. Like, we made it in.
We made it. We're here. To the times square. Tokyo. Tokyo square.
This is the sea of humanity. We are about to take part in the crossing. We are headed to have a cup of coffee right there.
Starbucks and squigglies.
Got lucky to get a spot at the Starbucks because this place is beautiful.
