A short travel vlog by Nate Buchanan documenting arrival in La Paz after Uyuni and the final day with the Quota Travel tour. The video covers travel from the airport through El Alto during Carnival, checking into an Airbnb, and plans curtailed because Kara (spelled inconsistently as Carrie/Karen in speech) is feeling unwell; Nate spends the afternoon working from a coffee shop and buying food from a grocery stall.
Back there. Not too far. Just a hair back.
Hair back.
Now.
We just landed in La Paz. Sadly, today is the last day of our adventure with Quota Travel. This morning we said bye to Carlos and the rest of the team, but now we're about to get picked up and taken to our Airbnb in Laaz, where we'll be for the next three days. No earthly idea what the rest of today holds or what we'll be doing. The next three days. Should be fun.
It's us.
So we're currently en route from the airport to our Airbnb and we're driving through El Alto city. I think yesterday was the start of Carnival and the city is just like alive with people. People are dressed up, people are playing music, and we're taking in this amazing view of La Paz city.
We just got checked into our Airbnb. It is nice and homey. Not quite the view that we had at the last one, though. It is 12:05.
She's not feeling great. Not sure if we'll do anything else today. We'll see.
So Carrie continued not to feel well this afternoon, so she took a nap and edited some vlogs. The WI fi at this Airbnb is pretty terrible. So I went to a coffee shop and worked all afternoon. The only other plans we had for today were to go to the grocery store to find dinner. And they were cooking Churry Pond outside of the grocery store. So I bought two of them. So sorry the vlog was so short today. Karen not feeling well kind of cut our day in half. She wanted me to say that she ruined my day, but she can't help it.
