A first-person travel vlog by Nate Buchanan documenting the morning visit to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe side), then travel onward to Johannesburg. Scenes include taking a shuttle to the falls, paying the tourist tax, viewing the powerful mist and rainforest-like area around the main falls, returning to the hotel, airport procedures (stamped out of Zimbabwe), waiting in airport lounges, boarding issues with aircraft stairs, and plans to stay in a budget hotel in Dolphinsburg and edit vlogs. Time markers mentioned: flight leaving at 2pm (same day), lounge closes at 7pm, and a morning flight around 8am the next day.

Not a bad view for breakfast.
We are up bright and early this morning because our flight leaves here at 2pm but we haven't seen the falls from the Zimbabwe side yet. So we want to make the most of the morning and go check out the falls. We just had a big delicious breakfast and now we're waiting on the shuttle bus to take us to the falls. Hurry up. Late. Why are you always late? Looks like it's only two of you this morning. All right, we will doing the LA trip.
That massive cloud of mist straight ahead is the falls across the road. This is where you go to see the falls. And on the full hour I leave from here. Yes.
We paid our tourist tax. Now we're going to see the falls.
26, 25, 24, 23.
We are now at the very end of the falls on the Zimbabwe side behind us. If you just keep going up the falls that way, that takes you to Zambia where we were a couple days ago. These falls are massive.
We're at the main falls. It's so loud and wet.
Because of the mist that's constantly falling here. This area right around the falls is like a rainforest. It's crazy. Everything else that's not close to the falls is super dry and deserty. The falls are almost invincible behind the mist. We are like in the heart of the heaviest part of the falls. The cloud that you can see from Everywhere from like 30 miles away is right here. That's where it's coming from. I don't know if you can see it. This is definitely the worst viewpoint. I can't see a single thing. So much mist.
That's Zambia. That's where we were two days ago.
The only ones at the bus again. Yes. About 20 people got off. Apparently we're the first ones going back to the hotel because we were the first ones to come to the private one. Huh? The private charter. Thank you.
Thank you so much. Thank you so much. Thank you. Bye bye. Sadly, we're leaving now. It's been a fantastic two days. Thank you so much. Victoria Fossa Park.
We are flying with status so we get to avoid this nonsense. We are stamped out of Zimbabwe.
Very unwelcoming. Huh?
Huh? Right. Open the door.
Let us into the lounge.
I was so excited. We have to go sit in the airport. Don't act that sad.
Kara was pouting a little bit and we weren't really sure what to do with ourselves. Came to a restaurant and got french fries and coffee.
Feeling better? Yeah.
We trust to enjoy your flight with us.
We trust you enjoyed Your flight. Thank you for making us your airline of choice. Travel on safely.
They're having trouble starting our stairs. You can do it.
They've called in the backups. Save us.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are just waiting for the airport company that's appliance for drift stairs to finally do so. While we are off date.
It's abandoned us and we will be now disembarking the aircraft using the aft stairs. Ladies and gentlemen, we'll be disembarking the aircraft at the back of the cabin. Thank you. We're in the very front. Last one's off the plane.
Clear customs. Could have been worse.
We're making up for the other airport that didn't have a lounge and going to the survival lounge because we don't have anything else to do. It's better than going to our hotel room, our cheap hotel room in Dolphinsburg.
Got it all to ourselves. How long are we gonna. When does it close?
Where to sit? It's about 5pm and we fly out tomorrow morning around 8. So we've just booked a cheap hotel for the night. So we're like in no real rush to get there. So the plan is hang out here as long as possible until they kick us out. Get some work done on our computers. Kara's gonna edit the awesome vlogs from Zimbabwe and Zambia. Then we'll head to our cheap hotel and that'll probably be our night.
And they have coffee.
It is now 7pm the lounge is closing, so we're heading to our hotel.
Lucky we're close. No, I didn't mess it up. That's what it looked like.
I just brought attention to it. The lounge is closed down, but we're sitting outside using the Internet, making sure the vlog uploads.
