Today is day one in Iceland.
Technically, it's day two.
Start over. Today is day two in Iceland. And we packed up the apartment this morning, threw everything in the car, and we're somewhere on like the south east coast. South.
And it's beautiful.
Kayla planned this whole trip. So we've just gotten in the car. We're doing what she says. She told me we were going to see maybe a couple waterfalls, a crashed airplane, and a black sand beach.
Sounds like a good day.
I feel like we're a little over optimistic on how much we can fit into one day, but we're doing.
Horses.

Turns out we don't have any silverware, so try to be resourceful.
We've just arrived at our first Icelandic waterfall that starts with an S and I can't pronounce it. And we're about to have peanut butter and banana sandwiches for watch.

They get confusing when there's arms. Oh, maybe there's not. Maybe that's why I'm so confused. Maybe it's just this.

We may be soaking wet the rest of the day, but we're gonna do it. It's gonna be worth it.
We're getting soaking wet.
My pants are soaked all the way through already. I think that was the worst of it.
That was awesome. Much wetter than expected. Now there's another waterfall that's just like a five minute walk to the left of that one. That's supposed to be like inside a cave or something. So that's where we're going.
First, this is awesome. Second, normally things like this don't scare me like hikes, but this is super sketchy. It's muddy. All the rocks are just like in more dirt. And one of the coolest waterfalls I've ever seen. Maybe my favorite waterfall I've ever.
I think we're about to get soaked again. We're going to try to make it into the base of the falls.
This is my favorite waterfall I've ever been to by far. This is so cool. Going back in the bag.
That was is one of the coolest waterfalls ever. But now we're all really wet and cold, so we're gonna lay here and dry off before we get back in the car.
If you come to this waterfall, definitely, like, take a little bit of time and see the big one because it's super impressive. But you have to go to the left. It's like, a 10 minute walk to the smaller waterfall. Because it's like the coolest one that I've ever been to, like, down in that canyon. And you can hike to the top and you can hike to the bottom. Great, Great start to our first full day here in Iceland. On to the next one.
We just drove to a black sand beach called Rennes Peshara. We're gonna go check it out.
That was fun.
And we just teleported to the start of the hike to go to the plane crash. I think it's like an hour both ways. I thought this was, like, from all the pictures. I started, like, four thoughts right there. From all the pictures that I saw on the Internet. I thought that, like, this was gonna be this crash that was, like, abandoned way out in the middle of nowhere. And you were gonna have to, like, go out to it. And you're gonna be the only ones. And there's a massive parking lot with undercars like everything else here in Iceland.

It's gonna be a pretty strenuous hike. Looks like a flat.

We found the plane.
It looks super cool. Everybody lived through this plane crash. That's really all I know. There it is.
We could not have timed that any more perfectly. Like, as soon as we got there, everybody left. It was us and two other people got to take our pictures, fly the drone. And now there's like 20 people fighting over getting a picture on the airplane. We got really lucky.
It's super windy. You might not be able to hear anything we're saying.
I think it's. I think we've got the mic secured now.
I think breaking it fixed it.
I think fixing it after we broke it fixed it for good.
