It was a super romantic evening in our twin beds at our bed and breakfast last night. And this morning we are going to doton.
Perfect.
Way to get the shot. Look at this beautiful Irish scenery.
To Dublin.
Dublin.
To Dublin. Take me to Dublin. Getting directions to Dublin. Starting route to Dublin. Head southeast on Limerick Road.
So we've hit a ton of traffic on the way back to Dublin, so we're going down back roads trying to avoid it. It is already 12:30 and we are passing an Aldi. So we decided to have lunch here because we love Aldi.
Aldi's the best. And it's sunny, warm again.
We don't have a lot of opportunities to eat healthy and cheap while we're on the road. So while we have a car, we're taking advantage of it. Two salads, two wraps. Oh, she did buy a bag of chips. That's not that healthy. All for less than €7. Crazy love, Aldi.
Aldi's so good.
So we are back at the airport, but we are not leaving Ireland yet. A few days ago when we got here, we rented a car and drove straight out of Dublin, straight to Galway. So we haven't seen any of Dublin yet.
Right now we're looking for the green double digger boost.
That was terrible. And we're gonna be spending the next two days in Dublin.
Okay, the sun is setting and it's getting dark and we need to talk fast. What's first? Our little Ireland mini road trip just ended and we normally don't do this, but we wanted to sit down and give you a few little tips because we loved it so much.
If you come to Ireland, you have to rent a car. We haven't been here in Dublin very long, but we've been here long enough to know that like the vibe is totally different. It's not bad, but you just can't like truly appreciate the Irish culture. I feel like without getting into all of the little cities, meeting all of the incredibly nice people, like seeing all of the greenery. A car I think is definitely the best way to see Ireland. Even though we only had one for three, three short days.
It's a little tricky though. First of all, you have to drive on the left.
Yes. And the roads here are super narrow. There's like cars and then there's a stone wall and you just have to like perfectly drive your car in between the two. So if you don't normally drive on the left hand side of the road, it can be a little tricky and.
Huge tour buses flying by from the other direction.
So we don't splurge on the big car. Yeah, we say all this the same. Like, don't upgrade your car. Get the smallest car possible because it's going to make it easy to drive on the narrow roads. Also, car insurance is a big thing here that I've heard a lot of people get burned on. So you have to have car insurance if you come to Ireland. And Kara and I normally use our credit cards that offer car insurance so we don't have to buy it from the company. But if you're going to use your credit card, you have to have a note from your credit card company specifically stating that they're going to cover your car insurance while you're here in Ireland. Otherwise, if you don't have the note, they're gonna make you buy it. And we've heard it can be really expensive. Any other tips?
I thought we had more tips.
Small car. Make sure you know about the insurance and do the hike at the cliff, the whole hike. If you haven't seen yesterday's video, go back and watch it and copy exactly what we did, because it was incredible.
And we were the only ones at sunset by ourselves at the Cliffs of o'. Hare. Like, I couldn't even believe it was real.
One of the reasons that we're sitting here talking about how to have a good rental car experience here in Ireland is because we want you to have a good experience. But another reason is because we're ending the vlog early today.
So this vlog might be a little bit short, but honestly, we've been in the car for the last three days and we've been traveling super fast, basically since we left Bob and Chenas. And I'm super behind on editing vlogs. We really haven't planned much more after this, and so we need to stay in and get some work done. And we're probably not going to do anything else very fun tonight.
We normally, like, go eat authentic food or something, but tonight's meal will probably be really inauthentic. Either like something from the grocery store or something really cheap and unhealthy.
Just something quick. But we're going to explore Dublin in the next two days.
Tomorrow is. Tomorrow's our only full day in Dublin, so we're going to make the most of it. So if you wanted to see Dublin and you're disappointed that this vlog is ending early, you can just watch tomorrow's.
We're going to be in our really nice Airbnb in Dublin.
Oh, yeah. That's totally one of the reasons this is ending early. We're taking advantage of this awesome Airbnb.
Okay, let's go get some food.
So how do you think that went?
That was good.
Are people going to be mad? Are you sure? Yeah.
Yeah, sure. Why not?
Apparently, this is the cheapest. Do you have a wreck? Yeah.
