Nate and Kara spend three days in Lapland staying in a heated treehouse, then cross into Sweden to board a 1970s icebreaker and float in near-freezing water in safety suits. Their candid reactions capture the absurdity of what you can actually do up there.

This feels so wrong. I cannot believe you talked me into doing this.
We're sleeping in a treehouse.
Good morning from snowy, freezing, but beautiful and sunshiny. Kimi, Finland. Today starts our epic three day adventure through Lapland.
We are about to be picked up and driven to Sweden, where we're going to be doing something that I actually didn't even know it was possible for normal people to do.
We are officially in Sweden now and we just stopped at this little place for lunch really quick. This tiny town is so beautiful. Everything is white. And then there's all these little red cabins contrasting the snow. And then there's this river running right through the open.
So the reason that we have driven all the way to Sweden is to get on a boat.
But not just any boat, an icebreaker. A boat that literally breaks through the ice.
I feel like I'm on the show Deadliest Catch. At any moment, a big crab pot is gonna come, like, fill the crabs and land on the deck and we're gonna have to like, throw them all down the chute or whatever they do on the show.
How about them apples?
So when you get on the boat, they give you this free audio guide and then they basically just give you free reign of the entire ship. It's seven and you can pretty much go anywhere you want, including the engine room.
Wow.
This is crazy. This is so nuts. It smells like diesel fuel. And they just let you wander around the ship. I just feel like there's so many things I could break.
Into. The engine. The engine. The blessing.
Aye aye, captain. Aye, aye.
Yeah, you can. We've pulled away from the dock and Kara's already made her way into the captain's chair, which apparently faces backwards because this was a working ship. And so you can see all the workers, like, down on the deck. Captain has just like a chair that faces backwards so you can just. Crab pods are coming over. Craziest Christian I've ever seen here.
Five years now, but longer. I start as a young boy.
I do different.
All turning back now, going on the ice.
This feels so wrong.
We're just standing on the ice right now. The water is right there and we're right here. I. I just could not get over it right now.
And it's snowing underneath us. It's just. It's just ice.
Quit jumping.
It almost hurts your eyes. Like it's snowing and it's cloudy, but somehow it's so bright.
So bright. This is crazy.
They just parked the boat in the lake. Don't you even think about It.
I'm so cold, and we're about to be in the water. I'm even colder just thinking about it. Need my scarf. When we were first planning this trip, Nate showed me this photo of people floating in ice water.
And I said, I will never, ever do that.
I can't believe I'm doing this. I don't know how you talked me into this.
I really hope this works. We're American.
How do I look?
I can tell a tummy.
Oh. If I look half as ridiculous as I feel right now.
I cannot believe you talked me into doing this.
Oh, it's very cold out here.
No turning back. No.
Watch out.
It's like it's actually cupping my ears. It's so airtight. Here we go.
Wow. It's actually very relaxing. Are you behind me? I have no peripheral vision.
I'm on YouTube.
It's going viral tomorrow. I'm going to the other side. Oh, yeah. Oh, it's actually very relaxing.
I'm sorry. I can't see behind me.
Very hard to move anywhere. The secret is to use your arms. It's like I have wings. The Viking is very proud of us. We're almost there.
Oh, you made it. Oh, the ice is actually not that thick. I can touch the bottom of.
Oh, I'm being sucked away.
I think the ice is, like, 2ft thick.
The wind is taking me away.
I just ran into the ice.
Get out, Cara.
Oh, she did it.
Nailed it.
Nate.
I think that's a warrant.
Over you too.
Time for you now.
Starts to hurt after a while.
I'm gonna miss your thanks.
Language.
I seriously cannot believe Nate talked me into doing that. It was worth it. It was a really fun experience. My face is frozen. I feel like I can't control it.
It's very hard snow. I feel like I'm just, like, scraping the surface. All these jeans are not waterproof.
I'm out.
I love how sunny it is right now.
The weather has changed so much. When we got off, it was snowing so hard that you couldn't even see the shore. And now it's beautiful and sunny.
Captain Snake has come back on board. Aye, aye, Captain Snake turns into a little kid when it's snowing. Super cute.
Yes.
Yes.
I am having way too much fun to be cold right now. The safety suits and being able to float in the water is just the best.
So we've learned that this boat is in the retirement phase of its life. Used to be used for cool things like going up into the Arctic. And now during the winter, during Tourist season, it takes tourists around, and then during the summer, it, like, hauls stuff around the bay.
At one point, it was going from Norway to Brazil. 82 days at sea.
Wow.
People, like, lived on it. The living quarters are downstairs.
It was built. It was built in the 1970s, so it's getting old. It's in its old age. She.
She's in her old age.
Because boats are.
She.
Co. Time to get off.
Thank you so much. Bye.
Bye. I got a certificate.
How many hats are you?
It's worth it. 3. All right, now we're taking the bus.
Back to Finland, and there's a chance that the icebreaker was not even the coolest thing that we're doing today.
Thank you very much. You're welcome. Bag needs Swedes.
How cool is this? Tonight, we are staying in the nicest, coziest, most luxurious tree house in the world. We're sleeping in a treehouse. It's just. Oh, there's chip. This tiny little rectangle. Super simple, but it has everything that you need, like a coffee pot. Most importantly, I was actually a little nervous that I was gonna be in the middle of the forest with no coffee, but.
And.
We have a really sleek bathroom with robes and a treehouse. Everything in here is just so nice and clean and white and furry and warm, and it's my sand. But the best part is.
One entire wall of the rectangle is a window, so the view is awesome. And it's snowing outside.
It was already dark by the time we got here, so we'll show you around the outside in the morning.
I'm so excited. It's so pretty.
It's just this, like, little, simple rectangle, but somehow it feels like one of the nicest places that we've ever stayed.
Oh, and the floors are heated.
Most importantly, in an arctic treehous.
What do we want for dinner? This girl's not going back out in the cold today.
Dinner's coming to me.
Hey, y'.

Plus, we're sitting at the table with an Italian couple from the same area that we spent our entire summer, but I'm just having a great day.
We were supposed to have some parkas arrive for this trip, like, some big arctic parkas, and they got lost in the mail.
Oh, no.
I can see my reflection in this, and it really throws me off. In our new camera, we have a polarizer on it, and when I see myself, like, I see myself looking at myself, I feel like I'm not looking at the right place. I need to look here, but my reflection's here. Does this look normal, or does this look normal?
This one?
Okay.
Yeah.
So this is, like, the center, but I'm looking at my nose, and I.
Can see my eyes. My cheeks are so cold.
Is this close enough?
Yeah, it looks great.
The floors are heated.
