Keep a daily log of your trading mistakes for a week, then use the "5 Whys" technique from Toyota to find the root cause of each one. Spot the patterns, pick the biggest problem, and fix that first.
We ask our traders for one week, write out the mistakes that you make at the end of the day. And then we adopted this process from, I think Toyota was the original people to do it. And I don't know if you ever heard of the 5 Whys. You take these mistakes and at the end of a week of making 'em, you probably have them down into a pattern of maybe 2 or 3 actual big mistakes. And if you're tracking 'em over a week, you're starting to see the same ones over and over. So you then prioritize, okay, what's the number one mistake that if I fix this, I can move forward in my trading?
