Kardec Trader breaks down his candle matrix entry method for short-term trading on 1 to 5 minute charts. The setup: an up-candle, small rejection, then a down-candle that breaks the prior low signals entry. He uses a 2:1 reward-to-risk ratio with stops placed beyond the candle structure high.
So we call it the candle matrix. If we're looking at the candlestick pattern itself, so let's say that there is the up candle that's coming across. We've then got this and a small rejection to the upside. If this down candle breaks the low of the other one, you know, that's enough for me. Something as simple as that.
What timeframe would that be? Like the 5. From that, you know, with your experience on the 1 minute, that's a break of structure.
Even breaking it down so everybody understands it a bit more because it's such a fluid kind of trading exercise. Like, you know, my stops are basically in around the candle structure high. I always go positive expectancy, so I always go for 2:1 on every single trade that I'm in.
