A short YouTube monologue (Kardec Trader, uploaded Sep 20, 2023) that lists probing questions a good trader should answer: repeatability of trades, defining and carrying an edge, trade structure (entry/exit), days to trade, risk per trade, winners' size, win-rate over time, and trading behavior across market conditions. The speaker warns that some traders only make money in favorable markets and fail to preserve capital in flat markets.

You can have a trader that made 100 grand last month, but they had one trade. Can they repeat that trade again? Can they do it again? Can they repeat that process over and over again? And if you can repeat a process again, I don't think you are a good trader. So it comes down to what is your process number one? What is your edge? How do you identify your edge? How are you able to carry your edge into the market? What are the days you trade and don't trade? Why? How do you structure your trades? What causes you to enter? What causes you to exit? How are you able to put all those things together? And then how? What are you risking for trade? How much are you making on your winners? Right? What is your win percentage on a long period of time? How do you trade under certain market conditions? How do you trade when the market gets flat? I can name you so many traders that make money when the market's hot. But when the market is not hot, you know what they do when they should stay alive? They blow it all, plus more.
