I remember I went to Forbes.com and I was like, who made the most money in 2012? I think it was. And the top three or four people were hedge fund managers. So I was like, what is a hedge fund manager? And I see all of them are trading. So I was like, okay, so they trade stocks. So for me to be a billionaire, when you're young, you want to hit these crazy numbers. I have to trade. So at 18, I had 20 grand saved. And I took the 20 grand and I put it right into the markets. Now, just taking a step back, at that time, I was selling iPhones on craigslist. Broken iPhones. Before the whole screen repair stuff became big. Buying iPhones in bulk, making 100, $200 off a flip. And I kept doing and saved up money. And my mindset was, how do I take this money and double it and triple it? So I went, I opened up an E Trade account, and E Trade doesn't exist now. I think they got bought out by TD Ameritrade. So that was like the first broker I opened an account with. I funded it. 20,000. And I put money in JCPenney.
