A spoken trading lecture by Kardec Trader (YouTube, July 17, 2025) explaining how to trade around major news events (here: Trump-era tariffs). The speaker walks through an example price distribution and accumulation scenario across multiple timeframes, emphasizing fair value gaps, order blocks, liquidity pools, 50% retracement areas, and the decision rule to wait for displacement rather than trade when price action is congested.

This has actually happened during the Trump tariff. This was the distribution period of price action. Right. And then we actually hit this monthly feg quarterly like order block level, like the midpoint of it. Let's say this happened and then now we have this huge push up from this. This might be hard to trade now because now you have jagged ends on both sides. Let's say this is a four hour fair value gap. Now we came back into a 50% which I said earlier, maybe I'd aim for that after we hit this liquidity pool on the monthly. Right. And now this is back to a four hour in around 50% or a premium of this range. This is where accumulation likely to actually happen. We can come down into this one and people might be now going for this high right now we might actually be in accumulation mode. We might be generating liquidity. That means that we might not reach this high. If there's two points of interest here. Price is just bouncing between four hour fair value gap and an hourly or another four hour one on this side. And you don't really know hey where price is going to. Then it's best to stay out and just wait for that displacement to the upside.
