So Today I made $46,000 day trading spy. And in this video I'm going to break down my pre market game plan. What I looked for, where I got in, where I got out, why I got in, why I got out. And just give you guys the full breakdown of my trading day and the trades that I have taken. So as you guys can see, made about $46,000 day traded only. Spy. Spy is the only name that I kind of focused on and I just want to walk you guys through my mindset and what I looked at, right? So I always say first thing first before we even get into the video. I know a lot of people watching are seeing 45,000 and you know how much I made. And I always talk about this. I'm really, really big on not looking at this number. This number doesn't matter. I'm really big on looking at the R multiple. So my R multiple today was okay, it wasn't the best, but this is what I want you guys, as you're looking at this to focus on, right? Not this, all of these numbers, right, that do come out, they will eventually make sense. So our multiple. Just a quick breakdown for people that are new here is basically how much you made based on what you risked. So anytime you see any person on YouTube or any person on Twitter, any person on anything at all showcasing how much money they made, including myself, the first thing you want to ask is how much did that person risk to make that amount? So for example, in this trade I made 35 grand. Let's just say I risked $100,000. If you, if I risked $100,000 to make 35,000, that's a terrible, terrible trade. So just want to get that out of the way. For anyone that is new here and paying attention to these big massive numbers, I don't want you to take away that at all. I want you to take away the process. I want you to take away, you know, the things to actually learn from this and actually get better as a trader avoiding the money, right? So with that being said, let's dive into everything from the beginning. So before we even go into the trades, before we even go into what I'm looking at, what I'm looking for and so on. Let's look at where the trade idea came. So the trade idea was basically created the day before. So a lot of times when I am taking trades, I create, you know, an idea of how I'm going to take the trade, how I'm not going to take the trade. So yesterday, which was Tuesday, December 27th. I took a bounce trade right here. This was a key level for me. Took a nice bounce trade over there. But going into today, I took a short here around the open. Now where did the short come from? Why did I take a short there? What gave me the signal to kind of take this trade? Right? So first things first. I like to look at charts from a wider perspective. What is happening on a wider perspective? I mentioned yesterday that we're in a pretty tight range. Going from like 386 to about 377 range. We're in a pretty tight range. Within this range, we do have certain plays that can be made, but we have to be extremely quick with those plays, right? So looking for those plays is what I was focused on today. Going on to the plays pre market, before the market opens, I had a few subtle levels. One level that I really, really had that I realized that we've been having a difficult time breaking or we've been having a difficult time getting above the past few days is this whole range, this whole 383 to about 382. Like, if I want to go a little bit wider, I can go extremely wide. And I can say this whole area, right, has just been a big, big inflection point. It's been really hard for us to kind of break out of this. It's been really hard for us to get out of this zone all. Also, if we do go back to a few days ago, we also gapped down. It was the 21st. On the 22nd, we gapped down. And one of the gap down areas that we we kind of were at was right at this point. Like one of the key critical levels that we were focused on was right here. As you guys can see, we opened, we rejected right there around 3.8340. So this is a pretty deadly zone. And for us to really break this or have confidence to go through this, we would need extreme strength, we would need extreme volume, and we would need a lot of momentum to go through this. Now, this is the level I was heavily focused on, especially with the open. So right when we open, my whole game plan was to identify what we do around here if we get there. So obviously, when I do go into my trading day, I don't like to be biased. I like to look both sides. I like to look at the overall, marketing the overall day and understand both directions. So obviously I had my big 380 level here. Hey, if we do go into 380, maybe we get a bounce. Maybe we don't get a bounce. But my job is to try, try to read. Is there strength on the buying side or is there weakness on the buying side, or are sellers more aggressive? That's my role as a trader. I want to identify that in this inflection point and in that inflection point. So those were my two inflection points. So we open, we get a huge, huge wick candle with an opening drive. Play right into my key zone. 380, 340, or this whole area. Once we go there, that's where we start seeing a lot of sideways action. That's when we also start seeing volume kind of picked up slow down. That's where we also start seeing weakness. So this move, from what I've seen, did not have the continuous strength to keep going up higher. Relative volume also slowed down. So that started, you know, setting up a play for me where I'm like, okay, well, if we're seeing weakness here, what I could essentially do is I can try to short this area into this opening range zone, right? And maybe go put a stop above that. That was kind of my game plan. So now when we go into my first trade of the day, right, it didn't move ideally how I would would want it to, right? Wasn't the best percentage gainer, I'd say, or even our multiple wise, you guys can see around 946 is where I got in. So when you go to 946, right here, this is where I got into my puts. I entered my puts right here. And just to kind of give you trade details, I invested about 37,000, had about 400 contracts.
Made 27%, made 2R only almost risked about 5,600 on the trade. I did sell a little bit early, in my opinion. However, market was a little bit choppy. I'll take it. I'll live with it, right? But going into the trade, we go into 946 is my first entry. You guys can see 946. I take my short position, right? We get the multiple rejections, and I'm like, all right, I'm going to take my short position. Now, obviously, the trade didn't go in my favor right away. When I did get into the trade, as you guys can see, I was right about $6,000 at one particular point. So we did hit my stop loss level. So right here we have the option contracts on Tradezilla as well. So at one point, it did kind of go into my stop zone, and I was just kind of like, hey, if we Keep pushing to 383.40. We close above there. I'll take the loss, I'll get out. Which is something that I was just kind of watching at the moment. And if you do look at my running P. L. How my performance looked while I was in the trade, I was down about 6,000 at one point, which is why I wouldn't want to give this the best trade rating idea worked out. Execution maybe could have been better. Option premiums didn't really make sense. So that's something I want to point out, right? Going into this trade, right after that happens, we start seeing around 952 is where I scale out of my 400 contracts. We go to 952. This is where I scaled out. Now why did I sell here? Why did I fully exit around 952 after that entry is because once we get a huge flush, a lot of times especially, especially in markets like this, I get very, very scared of holding or making an assumption that we're going to just keep going down, right? So a lot of times I'll say, you know what, I'm going to exit. I'm trying to take a little piece off the table. That's all I want. I'm not looking for a big, big move here. So that, that was my exit. And like I said, worked out because we did go a little bit lower, right? If we take a look, we did go a little bit lower, but that's fine, right? I got out, I went cash. And then once we started seeing a bounce, I was like, okay, we're seeing a bounce. Maybe we might be in a choppy market. So around this first trade that I take, I'm up $10,000. And I'm like, you know what, we might be in a choppy market at this point. I'm not looking for a second trade. Also, as you guys know, around 10am I don't like to trade. So around 10am Eastern time, I like to put on no trades at all. I like to stay cash. So once this starts opening up, we start getting close to 10am I'm like, I'm going to pay attention. Looks like we might be possibly going into a choppy market. So 10am Happens. You guys can see we start getting the rejection again. 10:00am we don't get the real surge because sometimes what will happen around 10am we'll start getting some real volume kicking in. We'll start getting the continuation movement for the upside or continuation movement for the downside, depending on the play. And I've seen That happen sometimes, right? We'll start rallying into the day. We'll start seeing a squeeze, which is what we saw last week. However, today that was not the case. We saw a little bit move up, heavy rejection going back down. Once that started happening now, I started thinking about my second trade. All right. I was about to call it a day, right? But I think I might basically, basically be calling or looking for my second trade of the day. That's ultimately what I started looking for. At this particular point, I start, you know, setting up mentally like, hey, we're past 10am we're seeing some weakness. I might look for the second trade. So my second trade starts kicking in. So what is my second trade? So my second trade is. I. Let me just go through the stats really quick. Invested about 60k, had about 800 contracts scaled into this.
Made 35,000, had about a 2r, not the best r. Risked about 20 grand, give or take. I go back to this trade once again, based on my risk parameters. Based on all of that, I don't ideally would like to say it was a great trade. I would like to say my trade plan was great. My execution was good. But the risk parameter of this trade, in my opinion, I don't think was good. So I just want to put that out there. So I would give it like out of a 5, maybe 3.5, right? Rating, maybe. Yeah, 3.53. Just for that reason. Because this goes a long way right now looking at the trade, right. Let's just kind of identify entry at 1009 and then second entry at 1025. So 10O9 is my first entry, which is about right here. So this is where I take my first entry. And the reason I take my first entry here, which I think was a little bit premature. It was a little bit early. So once I take the entry around here, I'm making the assumption that we're going to start breaking this area. We start going up, we're going to start breaking the area that we kind of bounced off where we were rejected off in the Open. 380, 170s looked like an interesting level. So I'm thinking we're going to break that. So I'm trying to get in before the break. So I take my first position. After I take my first position, obviously trade, you know, goes against me. As you guys can see, I didn't go in my favor right away as it starts going against me. This is the interesting part. Look at my running P. L. Right? At one point, I'm down 6, 500, then I'm down 5,000. Then I'm down 8,065, 500. At one point, I'm down $10,000. At 10:22, I'm down $10000. So this is the thing with trading, right? When you're holding certain positions, especially for options, they navigate so fast up and down that it becomes extremely difficult at times, in my opinion, to really, really kind of, you know, hold through it, right? So that's why having that loss aspect, having your game plan, having those things aligned, are very, very important. So once again, that happens, I'm down. And then once I am down around 1025 is where I start. I. I enter again, I add more. So let me just run you guys through this really quick. If I, if I lost anyone. So I start adding my first position here, right? We start going, it starts going against me, we start seeing it hold. I do kind of contemplate, hey, should I take a loss? And I thought about taking a loss here. So I was about to cut the trade to 7 or 8k at one point around this zone. And I was like, you know what? I think I might cut it. I might take the 7.8k loss. I might call it a day. I might keep it pushing. That's about it. And then I told myself, listen, if we can kind of get out of this range on the upside, I'll take the loss. It'll be 12k, maybe 13k. I'll take it. I anticipated a 20k loss about. I'll take the loss of 12k, I'll call it a day, as long as we break down. So I had that mental note in my head. Now, obviously that didn't happen. So once that didn't happen, I was like, all right, we start making the first leg down, second leg down. And I'm like, okay, as we're making the second leg down, I'm looking to now add to my position. So around 1025, which is right here, I would say a little bit, I wish I added a little bit earlier. So around 10:25, I added more to my position. Once I added more to my position. And typically, if you guys have been following me, I don't like to add on these breaks or moves down because, like, it's just not ideally the best, right? But you know, a realistic AD should have been here once I saw the real, you know, rejection. But it's okay. Hindsight 20 20, right? So I add more here with the assumption that we're going to bleed into my demand zone. This is the Demand zone. I have. This is the same demand zone if we go into yesterday. Just to give you guys a little bit context, right, let's go into yesterday, same demand zone where we kind of bounced off. We had a nice, nice bounce look. Same demand zone where we had a tough time breaking, went down bounce, rejected off that same demand zone. So pretty interesting zone. It. It from yesterday till now, it has showcased that it, you know, is a real level. Once a name starts going in my direction, as you guys can see, my P and l goes from negative 10k to negative 3500 to 9015, 17, 26, 36, and, you know, so on. So once we start making a move down, I start selling at 1030 and 1031. So my exit points come at 1030 and 1031. Why 1030? Why 1031? Right, let's kind of understand that. So One reason at 10:30, right, is because once we went to my demand zone, I was ultimately looking to take profits here. I wasn't able to get a fill. I had a really hard time chasing this fill. I was, I was trying to play an extreme crazy fill. I put a limit order for, you know, 30, 40 cents out. Didn't happen. So once we bounce, I was like, you know what, Let me take half or more than half off. If we see any green, I will get out. If we don't see green, I'm going to go with the assumption that we will continuously bleed out. Obviously, we saw a little bit green. I wasn't comfortable holding. I didn't want to get caught up in some big bounces, big crazy moves around this area. So I sold. I called it a day. Now, I will share this with you guys. Today is a day where I had extreme fomo. Like, crazy fomo. Which is why, you know, the third trade I did take today was ideally like, oh, let me, let me go, Let me, let me just go play shares. I played shares, a thousand shares, and I was like, you know, what am I doing? Let me stop. I started building extreme amount of FOMO ultimately because I had my first short here, My second short was here. And then when you look at, when you look at this, right, if I held one of my short positions, I would have had 100 or $150,000 day because these option premiums moved crazy. So I had a crate. Like, I had a. I had kind of like a mental day where I was like, wow, today was a day where I should have held longer. Once again, 20 hindsight is 20 20. I didn't know That I was just trying to play the, you know, quick pocket moves in and out, and that's what I played and I followed that. And sometimes even when you follow your game plan and you play to the tee, you're still going to have those mental, I guess, notes of like, I should have done this, I should have done that. I should have done this, I should have done that. You can't, you just can't win everything, you know, you can't catch everything in trading, you know, and then, you know, at a certain point we go into 11:30 and usually, usually I'm off at 11am we go into 11:30, we go into 12 and I'm like, you know what, I want to try to trade something. And I've said this before, guys, most of the time when you get caught in a tough situation where you want to trade and you want to put on another position, and maybe if I put on another position, I could have made another 20 or 30 grand or maybe I would have gave all my money back and I would have destroyed the momentum I'm on and destroyed my confidence and had a terrible day, which would have most likely bled into tomorrow. I'm still happy I called it a day. And sometimes you as a trader, you need to know when to call it a day and when to walk away. Because at the end of the day, as traders, we don't have, have ultimately a boss or anyone to tell us what to do, what not to do, which is good, but it's also very, very bad because sometimes we do need someone to say, hey, cut it off, you're done. You're done for the day, no matter what. Because mentally, if we don't do that ourselves, it can lead us into terrible, terrible trades. And I've done that so many times in the past. With that being said, once Again, great trading day. 46k on my end. Wish I did a few things better. Wish my risk was a little bit better. You know, I wish I, I held some of the trades better, but I'm happy with my game plan. My game plan was great. Was able to nail my game plan and just maximize on the trading day. With that being said, I hope you guys enjoyed this recap and thank you so much for watching everyone.
