A short YouTube monologue by Kardec Trader describing how the speaker learned trading through self-education rather than a single mentor. The speaker explains that they learned from many sources (books, videos, online content), iteratively testing ideas over ~10 years, and concluded that much available material is low-value — one must sift to find what works.

So how are you teaching yourself how to trade? So people always ask me, like, who is your mentor? Right. And I'm like, well, in trading, I had a thousand mentors. You know, you go to books, you go to YouTube videos, you go to different things that are available online. But the problem with education in any industry is because there's a lot of resources. You don't know what's right and what's wrong. Yeah. So you just consume everything. So I kept consuming, applying, working. Some things work, some things didn't work. Consumed, applied work didn't work. And I kept doing that over and over again to a point of just, you know, after 10 years later, I'm kind of like, okay, well, now I see all the BS out there. I see what works and what doesn't work. But that is kind of like the con of it, because you do have resources. But just because something's a resource doesn't mean it's valuable. Yeah.
