This is a short monologue from a YouTube video by Kardec Trader (uploaded Feb 22, 2024) about trading psychology. The speaker advises traders to treat each new trading session (day/month/year) as a clean slate regardless of prior wins or losses, warning against carrying over aggression after gains or fear after losses.

If we come off a great year, we start the new year, new month, off super aggressive. If we come off a terrible year, we come off super defensive, super scared. I think leaving those things behind and starting the next trading session, be it the month, be it the day, started off as a clean slate. Understand that, hey, whatever happened yesterday or last year or last month will not and does not mean whatever happened will happen again. So even if you have done very well one year, it doesn't mean that you're going to do well again the next month or next year. And every single trading day, whenever I go into a session, I go into that eye set, new day, new everything. If I did bad yesterday, I did good yesterday. Things worked out, things didn't work out. It does not mean that I need to let that carry you to this session.
