There is one very simple trading strategy that has been proven to outperform the S&P 500 over the last 20 years. And it's called the opening range breakout. You take the first 15 minute candle of every regular trading session in either the S&P 500 or the NASDAQ and you either buy when price breaks above or you sell when price breaks below. It's literally easy as that. But here's how to put it on steroids. So if during the upper breakout through order flow you're able to see a big trade, you just know that smart money is on your side. So you can enter only when smart money is joining the movement. And if you draw the volume volume profile the total trading activity inside of the range, instead of putting your stop loss below the opening range, you can put it below the highest volume area. So this confirmation brings you a higher win rate. This combination gives you a better risk to reward ratio. And the second way to put it on steroids is just to select the opening range breakouts. Where for example, this is the open of the previous session. But for example the previous session closed here. And whenever there's a gap between the close of the last session and the current one, there's a 70% chance that the gap will be filled. And once more this is increasing your win rate. So it's very selective, but the odds are stacked in your favor. Let's see an example. So let's go on a platform like deep charts and let's add the deep trades indicator. This will show us with bubbles where the big trades are happening. And as you can see we have a gap between the previous session and the current one. So I will wait till there's a breakout above here to buy and take profit here. So let's go to the five minute time frame and let's see if the conditions are met. So for example, we can buy here, draw the volume profile and set our stop below here. We got filled so we can place our stop loss below here. Or we can buy a little more. And at this point one take profit can be here. The other one can be for example on the session highs the trade is at the first target. So we can place a break even and we took profit. And if you want to make make it even easier, you can add the IVB indicator which is basically going to do everything by itself, plus give you some projections on where it's safe to protect yourself with the break even trade.
