So here's why you keep fucking it up with trading. Your brain is evolutionarily wired to focus on the wrong thing before opening the trade. You're analyzing. You're calm, you're confident, you're hopeful. But as soon as price gets into your zone, you're about to open a trade. Heart rate goes up, mouth dries, hands sweating, wider pupils. And your neuroendocrine system floods your bloodstream with cortisol and adrenaline. Your decision to click buy actually does not come from a purely rational decision. It is subconscious. And as soon as you open the trade, your brain doesn't function the same way. It can only think about the outcome. Beginner traders will feel all of this very deeply and won't be able to control control it and close the trade early. It's never bad to take some profit, you tell yourself. Then price runs to the original target. I should have let it run. From here on, brain just goes on. Autopilot opens another trade. Stop loss. Okay, one last trade with bigger size and then I'm done for the day. Stop loss again. Brain starts tilting more trades. Rationality is long gone. Your conscious mind is just now watching from the sidelines while your subconscious spirals into trading madness. Try and open another trade. An email comes margin call. Challenge fails. If you don't fix this now, these mistakes will become toxic trading habits that will get harder and harder to fix. So first, you use an automated risk manager at your early stages to limit your trades. Second, your strategy is likely too random. Systematize it in a series of rules that are easy to follow. And third, for the next 15 trades, I need you to promise me to simply focus on following the rules without caring about the result. Take this as a test. The learning phase. You don't make money by trying to make money. You make money by taking smart decisions. That's where your focus needs to be.
