Most traders are active 6:30-8:30 a.m. and around lunch, but intraday lows typically hit 9:30-10:30 a.m. Trading during those crowded windows means buying at bad prices as liquidity drains before the New York open.
The intraday lows are being printed at the same time. The intraday highs are being printed around the same time. The low in an index market is probably going to be printed around like 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. And everybody that's else is operating from 6:30 to 8:30 and then from like lunchtime, you're going to get caught out because you're buying here. Now all of a sudden ahead of the New York open, it's coming down here, taking off all the liquidity. And now this is the real trade. So you have to have patience in knowing when should I be operating in the markets.
